"Not having to frame the shot, being able to just put it on a tripod and let it run knowing it will capture everything is a huge factor. ... Imagine wanting to take a quick group shot or video. U don't even need to make sure everyone is in frame. Just press the shutter."

"U can use AI tools provided in the app to keep u in frame with a click of a button. ... With the 360 cam, U do not have to worry if u are in frame or not."

"it's really about the spontaneous moment captured with it ... I've found footages of myself in the moments of serendipity that I know I will never achieve with any of my mirrorless camera unless somebody is following me around with it."

"Insta360 specifically for the editing in the app. ... Reframing in post edit is not that difficult once you get the hang of it."

"Its a good form factor ... as i’m using for CRW, i really don’t want long protruding snag happy form factor. So the form factor works inside a Adrenaline workshop mount."
"Those cameras are very durable ... have available lens covers in case you're really falling a lot"
"It's discontinued, but great quality and size."

"the idea of the modular 360 was interesting but I never use it"
One RS Twin is a great camera. You can use it with the regular non-360 lens or go full 360. I had it for about a year and loved it before I sold it and got an Ace Pro and X3.
r/Insta360 • Best 360 all-rounder? ->Personally I just picked up the One RS Twin and I think it’s probably the best value for what you get: a 360 lens AND an action cam lens. It’s also in that familiar action cam shape too so you can get like cages and other accessories for it while still keeping the actual size pretty small.
r/Insta360 • Best 360 all-rounder? ->Love the rs one. Its a good form factor and quality is acceptable. Obviously would have liked it to be upgraded more but that doesnt look like its on the cards from Insta360
r/SkyDiving • Action Cam Advice ->No doubt, but as i’m using for CRW, i really don’t want long protruding snag happy form factor. So the form factor works inside a Adrenaline workshop mount.
r/SkyDiving • Action Cam Advice ->I recently purchased an older Insta360 action cam, the One RS Twin Edition. It's modular, and shoots both regular flat video and 360 degree video. At the time it offered more versatility than a GoPro. And I believe generally you get "more" for your money with Insta360. They've got free mobile and desktop software that is relatively easy to use, if at times a bit frustrating. My overall impression (not having used GoPro but having done enough research for my immediate needs) is that Insta360 is better for those don't care about a lot of professional options and settings etc. But GoPro seems to have superior functionality if you want better results and are willing to learn how to get them. That being said, as a professional, Insta360 is lacking in a lot of ways that I think a power user won't find acceptable. My next purchase will be GoPro.
r/gopro • Action camera for travel ->My other cameras are: 1. ZV-E10 with Sigma 16mm and 30mm. I'm about to add a 10mm, because I want a wider main angle. 2. A7III with a 70-200 GM. That pair belonged to my office, but I've stolen it. 3. GoPro 11. 4. iPhone 16 Pro Max. 5. Insta360 One RS. I'm borrowing it from a friend who forgot I have it. 6. DJI Mini 3. I use each of them for different things. The ZV-E10 is my main angle when I'm shooting myself because the screen flips out. I use the A7III for a b camera when I'm shooting interviews and for telephoto b-roll. It's also my main photography camera. The GoPro is just for timelapses. My phone is for when I don't have another camera. The One RS is just for weird b-roll. The drone is just for establishing shots. Is it overkill? Yes. I could probably do the entire thing with the Pocket 3 and the drone. But for my specific usage, I would give up the Pocket 3 before I gave up the ZV-E10. I'm not saying that you should do that though.
r/osmopocket • Is DJI Pocket 3 your only Camera? ->DJI Osmo Action 5, GoPro hero 11 or higher, or my personal favorite, an Insta360 One RS. The One RS is cool because it can do traditional action camera shots but also can do 360 footage if you get the right bundle.
r/gopro • Best Go Pro for the Money ->look at the Insta OneRS - pretty old now so you should get a good deal or find second hand. It has two lenses, one 360, the other 2d. Example here: [https://youtu.be/6u5SG5iJnQY?si=G\_cBMNKEKA1SQUaG](https://youtu.be/6u5SG5iJnQY?si=G_cBMNKEKA1SQUaG) \- make sure you have switched Youtube to highest quality setting! Other thing to consider is how to wear it when kite surfing. Helmet mount best betbut if you don't wear a helmet then this is a whole other thread for 360 camera positioning Lenses will scratch but i seem to remember Insta offering overlays - but may have dreamt that
r/Kiteboarding • Action Cameras ->tl;dr: Look for something with a big sensor like the Insta360 1 RS. Details... If you want to know a bit about cameras that might help pick something (assuming you might not be a camera nerd): the graininess in low light is because the sensor in the camera (the thing that literally captures the image) isn't getting enough light, so it does some signal processing to boost the dark image it does get to make a picture for you. Same idea as when you try to up the gain on a low quality audio signal and the noise boosts. The thing that controls how much light the camera gets it the aperture and the sensor - so, if you want high quality low light footage, you need a camera with a bigger aperture and a bigger sensor. Tough part - small action cameras have small sensors and small aperture (literally they're just physically smaller)... so they're always working without much signal in low light. Thus, even the good ones are going to be a bit grainy. iPhones have pretty good algorithms for boosting the low light signal, so they work better, but never as good as a full-size camera. I've got a Nikon D3400 - an older DSLR camera - and shooting video on it with a big aperture lens is miles better than any action camera I've seen. I've set it up on a tripod for booth footage before. Definitely more involved than using an action camera though. So I think it comes down to how professional you need this to be. Most action cameras are going to be better at recovering a decent picture from a low light signal, but it's always going to suffer a bit from garbage in - garbage out because the aperture and sensor are so small. Despite what their marketing says :)
r/DJs • Best Camera for DJ sets in low lighting? ->I went with the RS One for the form factor. Quality wise, it’s okay. It isn’t cinema quality but it splices much more seamless than the GoPro 360. And it does have an interchangeable lens if you just want front facing. I haven’t tried that lens yet, as I really like being able to catch my opening on vid. I’ve got it on a snag free mount from adrenaline workshop. I have a buddy using the x5 on a Mohawk mount. But something about the positioning of the two lens being pointed to the left/right causes a weird center merge effect of things right in front of you. If that makes any sense? Like…it makes your head/face look squished together. Like your eyeballs are touching lol I’m not a camera person so idk how to explain it. Some new stuff from dji and go pro is coming out so those could be good options too.
