"My old Breville lasted 10-11 years ... I got the new one 3 years ago with the air fryer option … if it breaks tomorrow I would figure out how to get it again - I seriously love it."

"I have had this one for about 3 years. It's an absolute workhorse, I dont use my oven at all any longer."

"I purchased this model in 2020 from Williams Sonoma and I’ve used it multiple times a day since."

"it heats three times as fast ... doesn’t take forever to preheat."

"I’ve only used my regular oven maybe 5 times, and I cook almost every day. ... The Breville does everything your oven does, but it heats three times as fast, doesn’t heat up the room, and can probably maintain a lower temperature (which is important for the “slow cook” and “keep warm” functions. ... Everyone would benefit from this even if only for the fact that it doesn’t take forever to preheat."

"It can fit surprisingly large dishes. ... A 9 x 13 casserole dish will fit. ... Multiple quarter sheet pans will fit. ... A 5.5 qt round Le Creuset Dutch oven fits, as well as their 6.75 qt wide round Dutch oven."

"It’s great for baking so far. It’s very precise and big enough to fit my large bread baker/dutch oven."

"We have the pro and it fits our 6.75 round wide with lid."

"FWIW this is one of the best things I’ve ever bought for my kitchen - only use the big oven for large scale baking these days."

"I rarely use my "real" oven. ... I roast chicken, bake, toast, dehydrate, I love it."

"It's replaced my main oven and honestly I love it. ... It really does replace the main oven, toaster, airfryer, etc."

"it cooks a whole roaster chicken extremely nicely ... you can fit a whole roaster chicken extremely- it keeps it extremely juicy"

"I love the air-fry function for chicken breast. They actually turn out juicy and not dry, which is usually how they come out when I pan fry them."

"she uses it to make fish a couple times a week (which always comes out perfect)"

"as an air fryer, it performs mediocre. ... Dedicated air fryers yield better results as far as making things like chicken wings crispy and tasting like they were deep fried."

"it doesn't air-fry all that well. ... It isn't bad, but if all you need is a dedicated air-fryer, well, this thing is assuredly worse than a basket air-fryer."

"I've had a few Breville air fryer pros and they were ok but I would not get another one if my main use is for air frying or toasting."

"this thing makes a f***ing mess. ... It's hard to clean, the crumb/ drip tray is a really bad design (the seams can leak food oil directly beneath the machine). ... I can appreciate the idea of having an outside accessible crumb pan, but in practice it is just not worth it."

"stuff dripped from it so clean up was always terrible ... Just a real pain to deal with"

"it does get dirty quickly and it is a pain in the ass to clean ... It is more noticeably dirty though because it lives on the counter top."

"don ’t use this for toast ... The bitch takes like 7 minutes to toast my Ezekiel whole wheat bread. It ’s ridiculous."

I bought my parents a Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. It has a proof function and it goes up to 480F. It fits a Staub (I think it's 4qt?) with the lid and knob though you have to be careful not to hit the quartz heating elements on the way out. It heats incredibly evenly, the macaron shells I've made in there came out perfectly.

My wife swears by the [Breville Smart Oven](https://productbible.com/product/breville-smart-oven-air-fryer-pro). she uses it to make fish a couple times a week (which always comes out perfect) and roasting veggies takes half the time our old oven took.

Yes I have! In fact, I blew out an entire outlet. I also live in a 50s house. That happened after several breaker incidents when I was when I was running the Breville and my Vitamix on the same outlet at the same time. Ever since the blowout, I only use a particular outlet for the Breville and nothing else, and I haven’t had any issues at all.

That would explain why running the air fryer and the vitamix at once blew it out all the time.

I don’t know, but I love that baking dish. My 9x13 is just one of those glass Pyrex ones. It has handles and it fits, but the handles are not very big. I’d be willing to bet that one would fit too.

I got mine used for $8, but it’s a little quirky, hence the reason it was at a thrift store outlet. If you can get past the occasional double button presses it works fine.

I have had a Philips XXL for over 5 years. It’s been good but not big enough. We recently got the Breville smart oven airfare pro. So far we are liking it. We are keeping the Philips too. But the Breville has worked really nice. In fact we need to adjust times from how we did things in the Philips

I have a Breville Air Pro. It's more of a toaster oven then air fryer but it does air fry. It's replaced my main oven and honestly I love it. Makes great toast too. I can bake a pizza in it, roast a chicken, and it even dehydrates. It heats up fast and is small so it doesn't heat the whole kitchen like the big one does. It's often used for roasting veggies or potatoes as a side dish.

r/Cooking • The air fryer isn't cutting it for me—what should I get instead? ->

Yeah, I'll admit I was put off by the price too. But after getting it and using it, I consider it money well spent. It really does replace the main oven, toaster, airfryer, etc.

Yeah, I too was put off by the cost, but now I really wouldn't want to be without it.

I have a Breville smart Air fryer Pro. I see it's on sale for $319 at some places. I've had it for probably a decade and it's replaced my "real" oven.

I have a breville air pro and love it. I rarely use my "real" oven. I roast chicken, bake, toast, dehydrate, I love it. It's old (ten years? ) and I've had to open it and fix the switch that tells when the door is closed, even now I have to close the door while giving the side a whack like the Fonz on a juke box (am I dating myself?). But if it were stolen, I'd buy it again in a heart beat. In fact I'm designing a "tiny home" and intend to put in a breville instead of a full oven.

r/Cooking • Is the Breville Pro actually worth $320 (cad) for warming up meals and toasting or should I keep buying $100 (cad) b&d ones that die every 2 years? ->

As long as you can fit what you need to in it, it will work. honestly it's not a great air fryer (although I've never used a real airfryer), however as a toaster, oven and most everything else it says it does, it does it well.
