"I've used it daily for at least 10 years now, probably closer to 15 and apart from the fact you need to clean it periodically, it's still works like brand new."

"el todo el recubrimiento interior metálico, presenta corrosión ... volvió a presentar el mismo daño ... materiales que están utilizando en el equipo, que evidentemente son de de pésima calidad ... las condiciones del equipo puedan dañar mi salud y la de mi familia"
"I am on my 2nd one as the 1st one failed and was warrantied by Cuisinart. ... Now this one is starting to fail again in the same manner (the rotary control knob jumps around randomly and doesn't increment up or down cleanly) ... After watching a video by [Technology Connections](https://youtu.be/6h9JhW-m35o?si=I_99KK_tbr30_yc) the control board being above the oven is a big achilles heel of these machines. Over time the heat will degrade the operation of things until it becomes inoperable. ... yeah mine started to fail after 2-3 years of use."
"Lids that combine air frying and pressure cooking is just a gimmicky mess that is nigh impossible to clean properly ... the heating element of the air fryer will absolutely rust after being exposed to the humidity of pressure cooking. ... The lid is not detachable and it is impossible to get access to the safety valve (the thing that pops up when pressurized) to clean it properly without taking the lid apart, including the fan. ... The burner element of the air fryer rusts after a single instance of pressure cooking. If you run your finger or a paper towel along it, you should see significant dark smearing. ... The lid itself doesn't rust, but the burner element absolutely does, and there's no doubt that it'll leech into whatever you're pressure cooking as the water continuously drips down from there."

"You can’t clean the damn thing either."
"the inside is impossible to clean well. ... The walls are the part I'm mostly talking about. I think it's inevitable it will be dirty with baked on oil/grease."
"Box says it's dishwasher safe. I put it in the dishwasher twice and it started to rust."

"you can’t put things in it that are not relatively flat."
"I HAAATE how short it is, you have like a 3in. height limit for anything you want to cook lol ... I mean really if whatever I'm cooking is even 2 inches tall, I feel like it'll be too close to the coils at the top and it'll burn 😅 ... I used to eat a lot of frozen stuffed chicken breasts and I think those would be too tall and get burned, especially being in there for like 30+ minutes that close to the burners. or this one time when I wanted to air fry some fat ass enchiladas I had cooked the day before, those things were chuuunky! Or toasting up some french bread for sandwiches!"
"The main issue (which is absolutely critical imo) is that they never have room to cook things that are tall. Whole wings, chicken legs, skin in thighs, etc. will never work properly."
I have a [Ninja](https://www.sharkninja.com/ninja-flip-toaster-oven-air-fryer/SP151.html) Flip that I love. It’s an 8-in-1 air fryer/toaster oven that flips up and out of the way when I’m done with it.
I got the Ninja sp101 on a black Friday sale for around 100$ about 2.5 years ago and its great. I probably use it 6 times a week.
I like the one I have cause it's not the traditional basket type air fryer. It's more like an oven + air fryer so you can put stuff in you can't put in the other kind. Plus you can bake, broil, etc. The whole thing is metal and the baking tray is high carbon steel. I plan to get a bigger model later this year.
I live in Canada so I have this specific model. I got this cause it's more compact and longer and wider than it is taller. Now I'm getting it's bigger brother. Its big enough that I can make a whole pizza in this. It has a tray for baking and a basket for frying. There are more models like this like the kalorik. I often see Chinese made ones with a stamp of a big brand so I know for sure there are many like this. You can also find models that combine a microwave too. My old microwave in India had a convection oven feature. An air fryer is nothing more than a convection oven (an oven with a fan inside it) so it doesn't need to be as complicated as it is. Cheap models without touch controls and dials work the exact same inside as ones with physical controls and dials. And they've existed since forever but now you see them being labeled as an air fryer instead of a convection oven. https://www.ninjakitchen.ca/products/ninja-foodi-8-in-1-digital-air-fry-oven-zidSP101C?recrawl=2024-05-14-09-05&recrawl=2024-05-14-09-05&gclsrc=aw.ds&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22715945478&gbraid=0AAAAAoVfVHWudc7TsnbMH4HYwt7PwHsQ_&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn8XFBhCxARIsAMyH8BtPW87p7Na5LjjRD-6EBBJASEb-uHp6OfFlEzxxY3Liy8BUo82fVbgaArK9EALw_wcB
I have one of the Ninja units that is a bunch of things. Mine is an older model than this, but it is awesome. Not very loud at all. There is a fan that runs obviously but it is not loud.
It bakes a pizza! It toasts your bagels! It air fries your fries! It will broil your steaks! And I did not expect it to live long through the somewhat tumultuous RV life, but it is surviving.
I have a normal-sized kitchen, but was looking to maximize counter space and upgrade my cheap, non-stick air fryer for something stainless steel. I got the Ninja Flip. https://a.co/d/e2li8dC I've had it for a year now. It's pretty good, goes up to 450°, but keep in mind it's fairly short in terms of height inside. I have been able to fit a whole spatchcocked chicken on a tray, but a rack of ribs probably has to be cut in half. It can be a pain to clean if you don't use liners. Also, if you slide *just* the air fryer basket out, it sits over the open door of the oven, and you get tons of debris, sauce, etc. For a single person in a tiny kitchen, I think it works!
Here's a flip up toaster oven air fryer that takes up less space than a normal air fryer! I bought one and 6 months in i am still happy with it! https://a.co/d/2sgx80L But only because i read the reviews and took their advice. Dm me if you want my advice! These are essential https://a.co/d/h4JYLDL
I have had a Ninja SP201 for three years and have had no problem with the glass. I will say that I just bought a small basket-type air fryer because I find that the air fryer function on the Ninja is not really as good as a basket-type model, and I really find myself using it more as an oven and broiler. The max temp on it is 450° for all functions, so I don’t think there is a temperature difference in the way I use it, and I basically use it in place of my actual oven, so it get a lot of use. I just make sure it has totally cooled before flipping it up.
I’ve been using a Ninja SP101 for a couple years and it’s great. Looks like the newest version is the SP151.
Replace toaster with something like a multifunction mini oven/air fryer. I have a Ninja Foodi 8 in 1 mini flip oven, which can be used as a 6 slice toaster, airfryer, grill, traybake roaster, pizza oven and more. A multifunction pressure cooker /slow cooker is also very useful - I have a fairly old Tefal one but nowadays Ninja makes really good ones too. As a general rule, avoid gadgets /appliances that only do one thing (such as a toaster) and go for multifunction. Also - if counter space is at a premium, one of the best ways you can store gadgets is on etageres /shelving units with power sockets behind them, plugged in and ready to use. Most of my kitchen appliances are stored like this, on Ikea hacks based off plain IVAR shelving units. Use vertical space and keep your counters uncluttered.
The [Breville](https://amzn.to/4linlKH) is absolutely amazing. The difference between the breville and other air fryer is the consistency of temperature (kind of like a weber grill vs a charbroil). When you set 350, you get 350. The one downside: the breville often has this high pitched electronic noise when off, but plugged in. You have to be within a few feet to notice it. Unfortunately, I notice it a lot, so generally unplug it. Second what other commentor said - when Teflon hits 475, it starts off-gassing toxic fumes. You do not want that. Have also had the [ninja flippy one](https://amzn.to/4kwvtpN) and while it runs slightly hot (just cause elements are so close to the food), it is one of the only air fryer that has a completely stainless interior. So if toxic-ness is a concern, check that out.
