"I think we have the ninja foodie 10 in 1 oven thing and we've only used our real oven like twice since we got it and that was entirely because the pizza was too big. ... I've had a ninja foodi grill one for years and it's still good. I will keep it for many more years, possibly decades. Got it on eBay for much less than retail and it shipped from the manufacturer, somehow. I think $150? Well worth it. I use wax paper liners in it to make cleanup easier, also worth it.

I have I think this exact one although I got it many years ago so it might be different now https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ninja-Foodi-4-in-1-Indoor-Grill-with-4-qt-Air-Fryer-Roast-Bake-and-Cyclonic-Grilling-Technology-Black-Stainless-AG300/882305312 It doesn't get too hot on the outside and goes up to 500F in grill mode. It's pretty big at least it would suit a family of 4.

I have the Ninja air fryer grill. It cooks steaks great. Comes with a grill plate and the temp goes up to 525, if I remember correctly. I just cooked a ribeye and was perfect. Model is AG301

What you're speaking of aren't actual air fryers, because pretty much every air fryer doesn't have a top and bottom element. It wasn't until ninja ungraded their foodi GRILL I think in 2023 to have an element on the top and bottom. Which they have done for some of their products now, which none of them are an actual air fryer. Before they added the second element, what I said is the truth and is how they're operated with the functions. Any actual air fryer, how I said the functions work is how it operates. You're simply talking about a product that isn't an air fryer.

If you are a couple or Batchelor in a tiny apartment, the Ninja Foodie 4 in one indoor grill with air crisp is a godsend and daily workhorse. Grills to perfection. Airfries beautifully as part of air crisp feature. I cooked a nice 3 lb beef roast and potato in it. Grills fish perfectly

Are you in the US or a different country? I'm starting to wonder if it varies by countries as someone from the United Kingdom indicated that the UK ninja rep said all their fryers have toxic coatings. Im in US. They said today to me because I asked about the ninja foodi 4 n 1 grill I bought in 2019: "This unit was and still is PFAS and BPA free. The inner basket is also ceramic coated, nonstick, and PTFE and PFOA free for easy cleanup. Dishwasher safe." Hard to know what to trustI'm thinking that I need to buy an updated replacement basket that is guaranteed pfas free by them in current day since , I don't know what they were doing back in 2019.

Here is the reason you get the Ninja grill and air fryer with ceramic pans. All pieces go into the dishwasher, or you can wash by hand and it cleans up like a dream. I throw rocks at my old air fryers! https://a.co/d/jabqTR5

This one has CERAMIC pans, not non-stick. I’ve had it for several years, nothing happens to the pans.

I have a Ninja, two technically one is a grill with crisper basket. It is usually pretty accurate according to air fryer specific directions. It's a dual basket so if I'm running both at once I need to increase the time/temp a little bit. I think any major brand should be ok, but what I'll say is that it's important to learn and get a feel for how your machine works. Sometimes you gotta burn something before you learn to adjust your directions. I know that's not what you want to hear but honestly you'll be glad when you figure it out.

Ah yeah that brings me back to my original point Sorry to hear, I do recommend a Ninja, they have quite a few models that suit different use needs. Be warned, it's easy to get sucked into the Ninja Shark ecosystem. I've got an indoor grill, dual basket air fryer, and now the Blendsense IQ system.

I’ve had a few types of air fryers-my vote for the best type is the Ninja 5 in 1 with CERAMIC pans. They clean up like a dream and all pieces can go into the dishwasher, including the ceramic basket and the stainless removable mesh cover protecting the heating element!

I have a Ninja Foodi 5-in-1 which comes with a grill plate so you can grill a burger or a ribeye indoors without setting off the smoke detector. I had it in an apartment. (The meat thermometer feature doesn’t work very well so don’t pay extra for it.) I used it so much in the first 6 months that I literally never used my oven and started storing pots and pans in the oven.

r/airfryerWhy do you guys prefer dual air fyers?

I've seen the dual zone ones recommended before. Personally, it either cuts the usable area down so you can't do large things, or it makes the air fryer too big. Our air fryer recently died and needed to be replaced. We don't have as many of the name brand options where I live but ninja is available. Picked up the foodi grill because it looked convenient to use and it is head and shoulders above the old drawer basket style we had. It preheats faster, seems to circulate the air a bit better so things are crispier and it's so much easier to load things in and take things out. The grill plate works pretty well too. I'm not a huge ninja fan, but this air fryer makes me willing to at least consider the ninja brand for other things. There aren't too many occasions that we would need two different things cooked in the air fryer. Either it is being used for the protein, in which case the sides are getting cooked on the stove, or I'm using it for a side in which case the main is cooked on the stove. Or I'm reheating some leftovers and nothing else is getting cooked.

The grill plate works pretty well too. I'm not a huge ninja fan, but this air fryer makes me willing to at least consider the ninja brand for other things. It's been about 4 months now and every time I use it I still think about how I'm glad the old one died because this one is so much better. As a side note, it does an awesome job with leftover pizza, just toss some cold slices in there and run the preheat and about a minute after preheat is done and it's even better than when it was fresh pizza!
