"My old Breville lasted 10-11 years ... I got the new one 3 years ago with the air fryer option … if it breaks tomorrow I would figure out how to get it again - I seriously love it."
"I've had mine for nearly five years and its held up well."
"had it 4+ years now with no problems"

"It can fit surprisingly large dishes. ... A 9 x 13 casserole dish will fit. ... Multiple quarter sheet pans will fit. ... A 5.5 qt round Le Creuset Dutch oven fits, as well as their 6.75 qt wide round Dutch oven."
"It also holds the 3.5 qt braiser (classic version with smaller handles) perfectly! ( no lid)."
"it has a ton of space which is super useful for cooking bigger things like chicken."

"I have not used my “basket” style air fryer or my full sized oven since we bought this. Well, aside from Thanksgiving to cook the turkey."
"FWIW this is one of the best things I’ve ever bought for my kitchen - only use the big oven for large scale baking these days."
"and so SO versatile."

"I love the air-fry function for chicken breast. They actually turn out juicy and not dry, which is usually how they come out when I pan fry them."
"it cooks a whole roaster chicken extremely nicely ... you can fit a whole roaster chicken extremely- it keeps it extremely juicy"
"I barely even touch the oven anymore, this thing cooks everything way better and faster."

"They only seem to last me about 3-4 years before the control panel decides to crap out and then the buttons don’t work anymore. ... Then I suffer with wonky buttons for another year or so and buy another one."
"it stopped working after 3 years. ... Had an error code that was not repairable :/"
"It started acting a little weird in April 2020 ... Something with the timer switch - I don’t remember the details since it was almost 5 years ago ... My mom is still using it even though it’s a little wonky."

"stuff dripped from it so clean up was always terrible ... Just a real pain to deal with"
"this thing makes a f***ing mess. ... It's hard to clean, the crumb/ drip tray is a really bad design (the seams can leak food oil directly beneath the machine). ... I can appreciate the idea of having an outside accessible crumb pan, but in practice it is just not worth it."
"If you don’t put something underneath a drippy food it’s a really bad scene."

"I have constant smoking issues while using the air fry function. ... Even using foil, still smokes like a chimney."
"The Breville air fry mode is its worst mode. ... It doesn’t air fry at all. ... Makes veggies soggy and doesn’t work like a real air fryer."
"for anyone who wants something to be crisp, I'd especially recommend the Ninja Crispi. Soggy limp leftover fries come out every bit as good as when they were fresh."

"don ’t use this for toast ... The bitch takes like 7 minutes to toast my Ezekiel whole wheat bread. It ’s ridiculous."
"Mine is garbage for toasting ... Eight minutes and turn it to the darkest setting! 🤣"
"The biggest thing I notice, unfortunately, is that it takes longer. Because its bigger it takes longer to heat. ... So in the old one, it would take about 3min to toast slices. This one is 5-6min."

"I have the air fryer Pro version and as u/xiipaoc mentioned it’s not really the best for air frying"
"terrible as an air fryer"
I bought my parents a Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro. It has a proof function and it goes up to 480F. It fits a Staub (I think it's 4qt?) with the lid and knob though you have to be careful not to hit the quartz heating elements on the way out. It heats incredibly evenly, the macaron shells I've made in there came out perfectly.
r/Sourdough • Does anyone have any recommendations on toaster ovens, air fryers, or countertop ovens for sourdough baking? ->We have a Breville Air Fryer/Toaster Oven combo. Purchased at Wal-Mart. I Love it - It gets used everyday!
r/BuyItForLife • Looking for an air fryer/mini oven combo? ->This is the one I have too.
r/BuyItForLife • Air Fryer Recommendation Needed ->Another vote for Breville. Have one of the smart ovens, and it's been used daily (sometimes multiple times a day) for a little over a year now without issue. It's been flawless. It's so good that my full size oven is rarely used.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Air Fryers on the Market to Buy Now? ->Second this. Mine exactly fits a 9x13 pan with handles, which is perfect. However it is not very good at making toast, so don’t replace your toaster. However I have heard mixed reliability; I don’t expect it to last “for life” but barring a lemon, it would definitely last more than a year. Mine is three or four years old, used at least five times a week, and still doing fine.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Airfryer to Buy Right Now? ->Breville counter top. Love mine, I haven’t used my oven since I got it. We keep the house very cool and the proof setting for bread is a game changer. Roasted veggies awesome
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Second Breville - I have the Smart Oven Air and it excels and everything.
r/Sourdough • Does anyone have any recommendations on toaster ovens, air fryers, or countertop ovens for sourdough baking? ->[Breville Smart Oven](https://productbible.com/product/breville-smart-oven-air-fryer-pro) for me, mostly because it has so much space
r/airfryer • Best Air Fryer Right Now? Recommendation? ->Definitely the Breville Smart Oven, it has a ton of space which is super useful for cooking bigger things like chicken.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->My wife swears by the [Breville Smart Oven](https://productbible.com/product/breville-smart-oven-air-fryer-pro). she uses it to make fish a couple times a week (which always comes out perfect) and roasting veggies takes half the time our old oven took.
r/BuyItForLife • Best Air Fryers to Buy? ->Yes I have! In fact, I blew out an entire outlet. I also live in a 50s house. That happened after several breaker incidents when I was when I was running the Breville and my Vitamix on the same outlet at the same time. Ever since the blowout, I only use a particular outlet for the Breville and nothing else, and I haven’t had any issues at all.
r/cookware • 1 Year Review of the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro (BF sale going on now!) ->That would explain why running the air fryer and the vitamix at once blew it out all the time.
r/cookware • 1 Year Review of the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro (BF sale going on now!) ->I don’t know, but I love that baking dish. My 9x13 is just one of those glass Pyrex ones. It has handles and it fits, but the handles are not very big. I’d be willing to bet that one would fit too.
r/cookware • 1 Year Review of the Breville Smart Oven Air Fryer Pro (BF sale going on now!) ->That’s fantastic! It’s amazing what fits in there.
