"I have terrible allergies and use Blue Air on every level. Works amazing."
"It's amazing the difference it makes. ... Also the filters are a wildly different color when I replace them."
"Blueair has been awesome for our basement, dogs, cats, sometimes chickens and always a burning fire for the wood stove and you would honestly have no idea all of that was going on. ... I wfh in the basement sometimes and I could tell that without that I was feeling gunky. Buying it made a huge difference!"

"They are all basically noiseless. ... They're sooooo silent. ... The only time it runs is when we cook or something or I light a black wick and it turns on"
"The soft white noise is perfect for sleeping."
"super quiet ... lights can be turned off"

"Super noticeable difference ... even just the fabric pre-filters catch a lot and their appearance varies from room to room (ex. dust in the bedroom, cooking oils in the kitchen) which leads me to believe they’re working!"
"I have a Blue Air and it works great. It definitely cut down on the dust in our bedroom."
"I have a blueair purifier that runs full time, and it seems to do the job just fine. ... When I go to clean the floor I just crank the blueair to its highest setting and let it do its thing."

"They're incredible and the best thing is that they have this washable cloth sleeve (pre filter) that goes over the entire intake which happens to wrap all the way around. ... It does such a good job that the actual internal filter stays significantly cleaner and doesn't need to be cleaned or changed as often. ... It's a game changer."
"external filter ... external prefilter cleaning by vacuuming and/or washing makes them last way longer."
"Blueair imo because they have washable prefilters, and pet hair and dander is large and honestly doesn't need HEPA filters to clear it out the way, say, smoke does."

"happy to hear from guests our house doesn’t have a dog smell."

"Yes we use Blueair and they make a huge difference especially with dog related smells or puppy accidents."

"the auto setting barely did anything unless I literally blew smoke at them"
"Maalikabok pa rin kahit super sealed yung unit."
"I recently got a blueair air purifier to see if I like it and if I notice any difference. ... According to the built-in sensor, we have excellent indoor air quality. ... I've had it for about a month and I recently took the filter out to see if there was any noticeable dust or anything and it seemed pretty clean. ... But given what I've seen so far, I'm not ready to buy them for other rooms in the house since it is quite an investment and I haven't seen anything that makes me think it's effective."

"Blue air is the best of the three, also isn’t HEPA but has a static generator which bothers some people."
"Although you'll find complaints it doesn't use a "real" HEPA filter"

"it has ‘electrostatic’ as well as HEPA-type filtration (they claim theirs is better). I understood electrostatic was the only thing that could actually clean the air like for gasses or VOCs, not just remove particles. Looking back and re-researching, it looks like anything electrostatic will produce at least some undectectable ozone. So, well I’ll-be-damn! I wanted to not have to worry about ozone!"
"I don’t like they have an ionizer that you can’t disable. ... Ionizers create ozone, and when ozone reacts with different molecules it creates all kinds of new compounds that can’t be predicted."

"the larger sizes have significantly more expensive filters"
"BlueAir is ok but the filters are small and replace more often."

"Their sensors suck"

We use the Blueair 311i max and 411i max, you can order a slightly more expensive smokeblock filter for them specifically made to filter out the particles in wildfire smoke. These units will also give you a readout on your phone to monitor the air quality in your home.
I have a 411i MAX in my bedroom and 211i MAX in the living/kitchen/dining area. I purchased directly from BlueAir and have been happy enough with them. I didn’t really read reviews beforehand but am happy to answer questions you have.
Levoit Core 300 or Blueair 411i. They're both super quiet, lights can be turned off, perfect for dust in a bedroom.
Levoit or Coway are the safe bets. True HEPA, actually quiet, filters aren’t stupid expensive, and people genuinely notice less dust/allergy symptoms. Dyson is overpriced for what it does, Blueair is good but filter costs add up. Size it properly for your room and run it 24/7 👌
I use Blueair 411i and Blueair 511. The only downside is they don’t have an activated carbon layer to remove VOC effectively but unless there’s a wildfire on the west coast (for us at least) there’s no real issue as we don’t smoke Edit: My apartment is also 1100sqft and the 411i covers the living room and kitchen and second bedroom. The 511 covers my bedroom and hallway
I also have two blue air 411 for each bedroom. Can't recommend them enough. They just do the job and filters are pretty cheap.
I have a 411 and it died (wouldn’t run, connect to anything, blinking red light). Their customer support was very bad, multiple times just stopped responding to me until it was out of warranty. Because I had old case numbers they eventually admitted it was broken and reported within warranty and replaced it, but I wished I’d’ve got it from Costco so I could just return it there instead.
Another vote for Blueair. I’ve had a 411 and two smaller ones running continuously for a few years now and they help with dust, dander, and lessening mildew. The app is pretty cool. The soft white noise is perfect for sleeping. Plus I run HVAC filtration every hour.
Unfortunatly, i had at Blueair 411 formabout 5 years in the bedroom. It just stopped working. So I replaced it with the newer 511
Ah, that's too bad. We've got a bunch of 411s and they're all still going strong. They're fairly simple, which is I suspect also why they're relatively reliable. I wonder if it's repairable honestly. Like maybe something just came loose inside there. I actually couldn't remember exactly when I bought all of ours so I looked it up in my Amazon history. We have three 411s that are all 8 years old now and still going. We have two 211+ models and they're 7 years old. And then 3 411 Autos that are now 3 years old. So far no problems with any of them running all day every day.
I have TERRIBLE allergies. My nose drips continuously. I have 3 BlueAir 211 (2800 sqft townhome; Bedroom, living room, kitchen) and one 411 (by my cat’s litter box) When I’m at home, I experienced zero allergy symptoms. As soon as I get my car and drive out of my garage , my nose starts running. Can’t speak highly enough about the BlueAir 211. I have to replace the filters ($74 each) every 4–5 months. Worth every penny.
