AndrewLAFan14 1.0# Go with this Levoit Core 600S . This thing eats pet hair. The cylindrical design sucks in fur like a vacuum, and the HEPA filter traps even microscopic dander. My allergist actually noticed my symptoms improved after I got it.
Aye42 1.0I have two Levoit a core 600s and an EverestAir and they both do an excellent job, I've tested them with different sensor and they do clean the air perfectly
fthesemods 1.0Levoit especially if you're getting multiples. The filtration performance is pretty good on the higher end, it's way cheaper and has app/Alexa integration. I don't live in a humid climate where this would be beneficial.

He's referring to a brand named Alen. See here for a review. Objectively, they do worse than the high end Levoit. You can screenshot the pollutant concentration graphs of both models. If you understood anything you'd realize rtings is a very reputable review site since they buy their own products and don't accept sponsorship. They didn't even start in reviewing air purifiers... It was largely electronics. Fyi. Several of the sites I posted already explained the HEPA situation and how it doesn't matter. This Chinese manufacturers often don't even bother with certification to save money. E.g foregoing IP ratings on some smartphones yet when tested they are still waterproof. Levoit used an older HEPA standard and didn't bother to engage in the legal battle. Objectively testing shows that they are superior. They also provide data on why the core 600s is actually the superior purifier. You literally gave misinformation on how you NEED HEPA cerification to filter air and used your anecdote. Anyone with a scientific brain realizes that you need objective data to form a comparison. Your feelings on this don't really mean anything. Hope that helps. It works decent on auto mode, really picks up when I’m cooking or vacuuming and displays the current air quality which is quite accurate compared to my dedicated air quality meter. Definitely enough for my apartment as long as doors are open. Not sure how it compares to some other brands but it works great for my apartment and it wasn’t bad price I got it “used like new” on Amazon maybe $180? Replacement filters are sffordable from 3rd party sellers.

Levoit Core 600s if odors aren't a huge consideration. AirFanta 3Pro isn't the most aesthetic device but it covers a large area (650 sq ft) for a very reasonable price. Coway Airmega 400 is a good device. I would wait for a sale. Smart Air Blast Mini or MKII if you have a large budget and don't need to move the devices often.
Lack of ionizer. I have pets and don't feel comfortable with an ionizer
The Levoit Core 600s might meet your needs for the living room. It's at the top of your budget. You'd probably have to change the filters every 4-6 months depending on how heavy the smoke is. I'd run it on the next to highest speed. You'd probably need a mid size air purifier in addition because the Levoit would be a smidge underpowered and wouldn't give you at least 5 air changes per hour, a good target to aim for when trying to address asthma and smoke. For the bedroom and office, the Levoit Vital 200s should work well.

Routine_Ocelot70 1.0I use a Blueair 211i Max. It does an amazing job of capturing cat fur. I have to wash it every two weeks due to how much fur and hair it catches. It has significantly brought down my allergies. I also have a Levoit Core 600S that I love. My Honeywell HPA5300 is amazing at capturing so much cat fur.
