That's awesome they did that. The air purifiers need to be appropriately sized for the room. I have one in my office that works well (Medify 15), but I do not use one in the classroom. Our facilities management was zero interested in adding any air purifiers to classrooms even right after COVID. I also had my own Aranet4 CO2 meter, but I dropped it and it broke. Still might consider getting another one or a different brand. Our windows do not open. Luckily I am often in a classroom where no one teaches before me so the room does get to air out. I am super lenient with students being out sick.
r/Professors • Virus prevention - air purifiers ->Cat allergy person here as well as fragrances (which I don't have to worry about at home). IQ Air in bedroom (expensive and expensive filters and is good). In experience one would be AirFanta Pro3. You may want to consider getting the carbon filters for it and read up. Beside my bed have the Medify 15 so that'll helped a lot...a room one and a small bedside one for the bedroom.

No dog smell. I have one Medify and two Levoit. Just make sure you get one that can actually clean the size of the space it will be in. The downside is buying the filters, but I find it worth the cost, and you can find cheaper, off-brand filters on Amazon.
