Best bang for your buck is [Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 with car seat.](https://www.target.com/p/baby-jogger-city-mini-gt2-travel-system-opulent-black/-/A-86993017) We used this until our kid was a little bit bigger and then moved onto the Babyzen Yoyo, but that was almost entirely because we live in Philadelphia and wanted the lowest footprint as possible for going into stores and getting on the bus. We still use the Baby Jogger if we are going somewhere “off road”. We used the Baby Jogger car seat until he grew out of it. No need to change that one until it wasn’t useful. Also, it was really really really nice to be able to move him from the car to the stroller without having to unbuckle him when he was an infant. Just pop the module out of the car seat and pop it onto the stroller adapter.
With a newborn, you’re going to need to spend the money and deal with the weight. We got the [Baby Jogger City Mini stroller and car seat set.](https://www.amazon.com/Baby-Jogger-City-Travel-System/dp/B07YCNSM4J/) It was super nice for the first year. Being able to go from car seat to stroller and back without having to unbuckle the kid was really nice. Our kid is nearing 2, and that’s still his car seat. When he could sit on his own, we changed the stroller to the [Babyzen Yoyo.](https://www.amazon.com/Babyzen-YOYO2-Stroller-Black-Canopy/dp/B0857159B3/) That’s the one that hits everything you listed. $450, super light, well built and sturdy, and it packs up so small that it fits in the overhead compartment of an airplane. Just got back from a trip with the kid and didn’t have to check the stroller. Just popped it overhead, and it’s the same stroller we use everyday on the streets of Philadelphia. The only downside is that it’s not appropriate for a newborn. They need to be able to sit up on their own before you can use the Babyzen Yoyo.
Have you looked into the Baby Jogger city mini GT2? I live in Montreal and most of my friends (we all walk everywhere from doing groceries to long walks etc) use this one, including those with SUVs, or those who have to climb a flight of stairs for a duplex/triplex) Admittedly I went with the Uppababy Ridge this time (used to have a Graco, then BoB) and honestly still regret not getting the Baby Jogger city mini gt. My friends even used it until the kids were about 4/5ish. Highly recommend
Yes :) you just need to get bassinet adapters https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/baby-jogger-city-mini-gt2-stroller-black-1461102p.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21247975100&gbraid=0AAAAADojZpi8AjAtLwNxLSxl4uwgHcTzD&gclid=CjwKCAjw24vBBhABEiwANFG7ywvK0aI-1wy6JvXgbPooqwYFoz2ry7Vmz1GfSp4Dy_abEDLAazr6fhoC0iwQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds#store=230
Baby Jogger city mini GT2 10000% All my fellow Montreal friends used that one all Winter long too
Baby jogger city mini gt2... easily foldable with one hand. Great for walks etc
Baby jogger city mini gt2.... my friends used this for all their kids until late (we're city people so walk everywhere). Its on sale now on Amazon too. Anyways cannot recommend this one enough. First started with my friends who lived in a triplex and needed one hand to open/close etc and then I eventually met more moms in the city who all bought the same one (except you won't have big storage below). They used it throughout Winter etc. I had a borrowed one eventually with kiddo#2 and my favourite to date
I know you're not a fan of the jogger styles but I'll tell you this (as a 6ft woman): I resisted the City Jogger Mini GT despite it being recommended by all my mom friends. Went with Graco (the WORST). Then BoB (amazing suspension, used it up until my first turned 4)). Then bought an Uppababy. And everytime i used my friends City Jogger I had buyers remorse for NOT getting it. My husband pushed for the Uppababy and even HE has buyers remorse and wishes we went with the city Jogger Mini GT2 (latest model) All my friends have used it till their kids hit kindergarten. Was great in both Summer and Winter.
Baby jogger city mini gt2.... the best hands down
I second the baby jogger city mini gt2. All my friends told me to get this stroller in Montreal and I ignored them (daily walker). Ive now tried multiple strollers over 2 kids and this one was by far the best. Great for terrain, including Winter. Easy to fold if needed. Just wonderful
Literally heard a squeaky stroller today and before I saw what it was, I told my husband "bet that's a Graco " (and it was lol). We had a Graco stroller + carseat with our first (live in an apartment building) and can't stress how awful it is in the Winter. Cannot handle even the littlest bit of snow on sidewalks in the Winter. HATED it with such a passion i can't stop coming on here and bitching about it lol. We did not have a bassinet with our first (the Graco we had didnt have them at the time) and again, another regret. We got the Uppababy Ridge this time as we walk daily in the city, and the bassinet was so lovely. Although we had a late Summer baby so for us it was great in the Winter. But I never worried about the baby sleeping in it, always cosy and covered from the sun. I get the convenience of infant carseats that click into the stroller, but I was always worrying as technically babies aren't supposed to sleep in them for long due to risk of suffocating and my infant loved sleeping lol. So it is useful for taking out of the car and into stroller when theyre asleep on the go, but the paranoia got to me and I preferred the bassinet. Have you looked into the City Jogger Mini GT2? All my friends recommended this one to me and I regret not listening. Its amazing for city/apartment living (folds easily) and actually great for long walks and Winters. I cant remember if the new one has a bassinet attachment anymore though. I've gone through a few strollers (Graco travel system, BoB, Graco 3 wheeled Jogger, Uppababy Ridge etc) and wish I had gone with the City Jogger Mini GT2 as I would Literally never have used another stroller lol.
I live in Mtl in a condo and do daily walks. Two kids now. My first ever stroller was a Graco and the absolute worst stroller of my life (came highly recommended too) They are all cheap quality. Whenever I hear a squeaky stroller I know its a Graco before I even see it (never been wrong to date) I've tried a few since... Bob, Uppababy, even another Graco style (jogger) etc... best by far for daily walks in a city (that all my city friends recommended and I regret not listening to them the first time): Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 Easy to fold for condo living. GREAT for daily walks. Even Winter! I've tried so many, and honestly.... this is the one you need.
Uppababy is heavy and bulky but the wheels are great for Winter walks. A good friend bought a used Vista off FB Marketplace and it was still in fantastic shape after using it for 5years in the city daily. (mtl) that thing was about 8yrs old by that point and still running strong. I also recommend the baby jogger city mini gt2: friends used this in all seasons in the city and comes highly recommended. I regret not getting that over my Uppababy tbh
Hell no to the Graco. Did it with my first and hated it (live in Mtl so used it daily) Tried a few others. My recommendations are Baby Jogger CT Mini or... Uppababy. Yes Uppababy is expensive but you can resell it. I recently bought the Ridge stroller on sale for maybe $500 approx. Then bought everything else (car seat + adjusters/adapters, bassinet, bassinet stand, ganoosh, rain cover etc) from a Mom in a local parenting FB Group and paid half the cost (in good condition too). Even now those second hand items are still in good condition and could probably be resold again. A Mom friend bought Uppababy used from FB Marketplace, everything for about $700. Used it for 4 years straight (daily) and now passing it onto her friend. Uppababy seems to have a long shelf life!
I bought this one. I love it and I can tell I’ll be able to use it for a few years. I know after that if needed, some insurance companies may provide one I’m assuming with a pediatrician referral. So far though my son is 3 going on 4 and this works great for us. I was nervous about the 3 wheels instead of 4 but it’s very sturdy and we’ve never had it tip. I’d look at the reviews and you can see quite tall and large kids fitting in the stroller. I absolutely love the Bugaboo! I’ve had three separate families have it, two of which were I NYC, so TONS of walking ( roughly 50-80 miles a week with one family). I’ve used pretty much every model and loved them all. I prefer it over the uppababy by a long shot! And they can easily convert from a single to a double! Also a much cheaper stroller I also love is the city mini G2
Consider the longevity of the stroller. The Nuna and Uppa baby’s have small seats in comparison to other brands like Bob, Baby Jogger, Thule etc. I’m 5’7, husbands 6’7 handle height was the least of our issues. Our kid kept outgrowing the Nuna strollers we had the Mix and the Trvl (head hitting canopy, not having space on back rest). We went to a stroller warehouse auction and she didn’t fit in 90% of the luxury strollers they had (bugaboo donkey, uppa baby vista cruiser, cybex can’t remember the model). The baby jogger mini city G2 worked really well for us. It’s not expensive, the handle height is fine for tall parents but most importantly the seat will fit a tall baby/kid
My baby jogger City Mini G2 is definitely not the fanciest option but the but when fully loaded is at the $600+ mark. We’re still using it, toddler prefers it and we’ve used it from month 1. I’ve seen 4 year olds in it. Where we live has a mixture of sidewalk and very rocky type paths, our stroller can take it.
I have. At first I HATED the harness but I’ve gotten used to it. I got the GT2 at first and returned it because I was worried it would be too reclined. I think the GT3 sits up higher. So far so good just really annoying the extras you have to buy. I had to buy the belly band so it’s becoming a very expensive stroller. But I wanted a bigger wheel stroller that is compact and this was really the only option I saw that fit my needs. Also the GT3 they fixed the bar in the back by the basket. So it’s easier to put stuff in it. It’s been great for our horrible sidewalks and we just took it to a thinkery museum and it moves great.
I love my city mini gt2. Two kids and that thing is still trucking. Plus the shock absorber on that bad boy!
Does it attach to a City Mini GT2? Ours has been laying around for far too long. I’ll make you a deal on it.
Do you intend to actually jog with it outside of Disney or do you just prefer the style and ease of push of jogging strollers?
Perfect. I already added my suggestion under the other comment but the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 would be my top suggestion. It is quite a bit more expensive than the Jeep you were looking at but they are quite popular and usually fairly easy to find gently used locally for a good price. Definitely worth the upgrade over the Jeep.
The Mountain Buggy Nano is a great travel stroller but not a great long-term option for a child who is already 4 unless they are very petite. Something easy to fold and reasonably compact but with a higher weight capacity and seat dimensions that will work for a bigger/older child will be beneficial in the long run since kids tend to need strollers MUCH longer at Disney than in regular life. Assuming they don’t actually intend to jog with it outside of Disney, I’d suggest the Baby Jogger City Mini GT2. It will fit a bigger child so much better. Shop around on Marketplace to find a good condition gently used one to save on the cost.
