r/BabyBumpsHow many strollers did you end up with? Is it possible to get by with just one?

Depending on your lifestyle you can absolutely get by with just one, or even none. I do not have that kind of lifestyle😂. I had two for my first, a standard Graco stroller and an umbrella stroller. I would have been fine with just one, but the umbrella stroller was $5 and pink, turns out it's one of my favorite strollers still(Maclaren Volo). I have *so many* strollers now. I live in a crazy city, have two small kids, and one of them has Down Syndrome and is a runner, so strollers get used a lot in our daily lives. I actually have even more than 'my' strollers, because I pick up strollers people have thrown out and fix them up to donate(fix them up is a generous description, almost all they ever need is a wash). Also my husband's truck doesn't fit in our garage, so we have a lot of space for it all. I'm just going to list the ones we actually use.. A double and a single Bob, the single is from '09 and about to go, and we won't be replacing it. My husband runs with them, I use them for anything seriously off-road(stroller friendly hikes, farms, etc) City Select Lux double for my everyday stroller. It lives in my van and is an absolute workhorse. The Maclaren from my first, and a newer, nicer Maclaren. I wish they still made strollers because the newer one is so handy for travel, it's light, but super sturdy and the basket holds a lot. Also it's a single but it has a 75# limit, so on a recent trip we had both kids sitting in it when we needed. GB pockit for small places, like Drs offices or small shops. 2 City Minis for when we're going somewhere as a family but will be splitting up, like a mall. Honestly we could do without these two and just use the ones above, but one's my husband's favorite color and one's my favorite color, so they stay and get used a lot😂.

I currently have 3 but I’m supposed to be getting rid of one. Graco umbrella which we keep in my husbands car as either of our kids can use it. City select lux with bench seat which I keep in my car because it’s easier when I go out by myself with both kids. And then there’s the city select double that’s left open in the garage where I set the baby down daily. I’ll get rid of it eventually lol

I love the sit and stand option for my 5 year old. I got a city select lux with the bench seat off marketplace. Zoo, festivals, long walks, etc, she has a place to take a break if needed

I feel like the baby jogger stroller doesn’t get enough recognition. We have the older version of the city select lux

[a double](https://foolsterroir.wordpress.com/2022/04/01/two-prams-later/) feels a lot safer and heavier though, and i ended up using the extra space for storage.

r/MommitWTF is UP with people trying to sell *used* baby clothes/gear for 75% of the original retail price?

That’s how it is in my area. I’ve lucked out only once so far. A mom was moving and sold me a skip hop activity center, baby jogger city select lux with second seat, tote full of sensory toys, and some clothes for $50. Surprisingly all of it was very well taken care of. But I know I’ll never find a deal like that again. I also plan to pass on a lot of my stuff to others who need them when I’m done.

My kids are 7, 4, 3, and 18mo. We’re in a very urban setting. I’ve had a Baby Jogger City Select Luxe for 8 years and I LOVE it. Yes, it is long and it is bulky to fold up and put in the car. But it steers great. It has taken extensive abuse by us and it works great still. I have the seats facing each other, and I regularly load 3 kids in it by sitting one in the footwell of the upper seat, basically in the lap of whichever kid is sitting there. Works fine in stores. It’s a pain in restaurants, but I’ve yet to find a stroller that isn’t. We walk at least 2 hours a day (getting my oldest from school is a one-hour walk each way). Yes, my 4yo is old enough to walk without a stroller, but everyone has rough days and it’s nice to be able to put him in when he needs it. I also view it as crowd control. Where we live the sidewalks are terrible, and we often have to walk along the side of the lane of traffic. I like having all the children contained for those streets. And I like being able to use the stroller as time out for kids who aren’t listening while we walk. When baby 4 was born my middle two were just-3yo and almost-2yo. I baby wore the youngest while the middle two rode and the oldest walked, mostly. But now that the baby is 1.5 and we walk so far every day, often in 95degree weather, it’s nice to just put everyone in the stroller. So a lot depends on your specific situation. If I were starting over, I might have gone with a wagon. But I’m also happy with what I have, despite all the other comments saying how much they hate them. 🤷‍♀️ I’ve had zero problems with steering or maneuverability.

We were given this from a friend and it quickly became a favourite stroller for us. So easy to configure the seats multiple ways and folds quickly and easily. We have traveled with it a few times too. It's a workhorse of a stroller!

I'm a 19 month age gap 2u2 graduate (now 18m and 3y). I have the baby jogger city select double. I love how I can configure the seats multiple ways and it's narrow enough for store aisles. For running and biking or just walking or going to the park I use the 2 seater Thule Chariot.

Bob Duallie's are hard to beat, one handed easy driving and steering made our baby jogger lux double feel like a heavy bus in comparison. Those big wheels really make it glide pretty effortlessly. I think for your reasons of being able to take kids by yourself and ease of use, it would be a good investment. Only con is it probably doesn't fold down quite as small as others, but still worth it IMO!

I honestly didn’t use my stroller much for the first 6 months or so after my 3rd was born. I had 3 under 3 so I mostly wore the baby and kept my 2 and 3 year old in the stroller. I had the baby jogger double stroller with the riding board so by the time time the baby was big enough to ride in the stroller the oldest could manage walking for a while or if she got tired she would just stand on the riding board. I don’t think you need a new stroller right now. Play it by ear and see how it works out with what you have first.

lol I have literally 5 stroller variations. Hiking (BOB), running (Thule, worth every penny if you actually want to run with baby), skiing charriot (Thule), regular walking/shopping stroller (Babyjogger Cityselect), and a collapsible wagon for the beach and camping. I like them all and we have enough storage space in our garage, so we keep them. All except the wagon were second hand or free!
