r/BuyingforbabyCar Seat/Stroller Combination Advice Needed
about 1 month ago

Hey, another FTM planning on adding a second kid in 2-3 years. We went with a similar setup. I have a Cybex Aton G Swivel infant bucket seat in my car and my husband has an Evenflo Revolve360 Slim in his car. I'm receiving parental leave and he isn't, so this makes the most sense for us. I don't think there are any convertible car seats that can fit in a stroller, and they're too heavy for that to be enticing. We also found the price of bases was usually the same or higher than the price of the car seat itself! Didn't seem worth it. I advised my parents to just get a separate infant car seat for when they watch the baby. We also have a compatible stroller with a bassinet attachment. We got the Baby Jogger City Sights. It's called a "compact modular," but that's not true. Definitely full size. We really like it, but I wouldn't recommend it because it's discontinued and it was hard to find the car seat adapters on Ebay. Joolz Hub2 was our first choice, but we were gifted the Baby Jogger. We opted for a single stroller instead of a single-to-double, which I originally wanted, because of the frame weight and difficulty of steering. We plan to get a rider board when our family expands. Hope that helps!

I have 1 child but have 3 strollers and a wagon… we have a city sights as our everyday stroller, a city mini gt2 for walks/disney, a city tour 2 for the rest of our traveling and a keenz 7s I got at a garage sale. The same child also has 6 car seats so I just clearly have a problem with buying lots of baby gear

r/NewParentsNew parent question: Are stroller over $500 really worth it? Is a more expensive stroller always better?

We got the evenflo pivot xpand because it came with a car seat, bassinet, and can seat 2 when our family grows. It was about 450 for the travel system and we will have to spend another 150 for the second seat when the time comes. The stroller is great but its HUGE, heavy, and takes up a ton of space in my trunk. Found a baby jogger city sights (retail 650) at Ross for 100 and while my baby cant use it right now, i definitely notice the difference in terms of luxury feel and fold down process.

We just have one! I got a Baby Jogger stroller (City Sights I think?) for $75 from Once Upon a Child. I had to buy a bassinet attachment bc the baby's still a newborn, but I'm not planning to buy another stroller. The bassinet is annoying to travel with (it does break down but it's a PITA so we leave it built). I'm excited for when we can use the regular stroller seat. It feels sturdy, but folds down small enough for any future air travel. So far we've only traveled by car. It folds down small. enough for a small hatchback. I live in a car city so being able to get it in and out of a vehicle easily and big wheels for rough sidewalks was the priority.

My kids are 7 and 8 and we literally just got down to only a wagon last week. I had 2 single joggers (my sister took 1 a few years ago) and she didn’t want my double. So my husband finally sold the remaining single and the double on his day off last week.

I had 4 at one point (kids are 14 months apart), 2 single joggers (we were training for a 10k as a couple), a double and a wagon. My kids are 7 and 8 now and we just have the wagon that one side comes down and becomes a bench. Plus our dog is getting up there and so she walks a couple blocks and catches a ride now haha.

r/dclStrollers on Disney Wish?

We just returned from the Wish 2 weeks ago. We had used the strollers onboard available at Guest Services. It was a single stroller, Baby Jogger brand. It worked for us, it was wide in narrow corridors where it was difficult to get best the Room Attendent carts, and the stroller itself didn't fit through the door way. We brought a carrier, never used it. We mainly used the stroller to have at the pool or when we wanted to just go on walks around the ship. Ours was for a 2 year old, but it was nice when we were at Castaway Kay, Nassau, and pool time with the 3 kids and carrying everything that comes along with them and it was easier to get him to nap on a walk than fighting it in the room.

Four… two doubles and two singles :) One stacked double for the car. A double jogger on the porch. A single jogger at my parents and a single travel stroller.

I have 4. A single that could fit a carseat and works for new baby with no neck control. A double that could fit a carseat and big sister. A single jogger once baby was 6 months old. And a double jogger once baby number 2 was 6 months old. You can totally get by with one.

Check out your local FB groups and if you can wait until late spring the yard sale season starts. I got a baby jogger city select double with both seats and attachments for $100. Realistically my toddler won’t stay in her seat for long walks so I don’t get a ton of long term use out of both in their seats. Mostly it’s errands or festivals that are busy. I also baby wear my baby while taking my single jogger (super smooth) and that also works well
