r/BabyBumpsCanada[ON] How many strollers did you end up having?

We started with a Graco travel system, bought an umbrella stroller for indoors, found that both didnt turn well on slick floor inside stores. Bought a bugaboo lynx and got rid of both of the others. Our lynx comes in and out of the house since it turns much better than our cheap umbrella stroller did. It doesn't fold super small so you need decent trunk space but it's pretty lightweight so easy to pop in and out.

We had practically the same situation, stairs to the apartment and stroller left in the car.  And we did what others have said here too - skip the capsule and had a convertible car seat. Mainly because we wanted the baby to have the freedom of movement in a stroller bassinet, and were told mixed things from friends about their kids not really staying asleep in the capsule either way.  Our baby had always been super comfortable and liked the car in the convertible seat. A Britax.  We got a second hand bugaboo lynx. And it has been amazing. If it was just one of us, we would pop baby in the car seat, grab the pram out. Once baby could sit up, I just popped her in the boot while I grabbed the pram to put together.  Though baby wearing for the win in general. Good luck! Edit to say: I am 5'1 and now my child is 1.5 I am getting so strong from my 12kg weight

We love the Bugaboo Butterfly 2. We had the Bugaboo Lynx for our first child, the pros were large wheels which meant stability and sturdiness, large basket which fit anything and everything. The only con was the size. It was fine with only one kid, but now with 2 it just takes too much space even when folded. For example even fitting our 3 year olds Woom bike and the Lynx in our trunk would make it basically full (and we have a large trunk). With our second now we wanted something more compact, so we opted for the Butterfly 2 and we love it. We got the newborn nest and started using immediately. We had a Metro 3 for our first child for a small while and I hated that thing with a passion. My observation in general of the Bugaboo compared to Nuna and Cybex is that it holds up much better even after lots of use.

I just checked and they discontinued the Cameleon. It was replaced by the Lynx which seems to be just as good. r/BuyingforbabySo overwhelmed by strollers: Nuna or Bugaboo?

We have the Bugaboo and Nuna TRVL. While we haven’t opened the Nuna yet (baby is too small), we are obsessed with the Bugaboo. Grandparents, neighbors and friends who have pushed it are absolutely amazed. It handles direction well, and is extremely sturdy. We bring it on the small trail by our house and it is impeccable. Highly recommend!

We ended up buying the Lynx off of Marketplace! It’s the 2019 model and works brand new - absolutely amazed at how it held up. We have the car seat attachment and bassinet, and use both religiously for the stroller. We will definitely be getting the newer model once our second comes along. We ended up buying the Nuna bassinet before this and I don’t love it. It’s not as sturdy as I thought it would be. It is, however, great to just pick up and bring around with us (eating outside, moving to our bedroom, etc)

Concur with options being the best. My recommendation is a used donkey (we bought one for $175 and are probably another $200 in with some new attachments, new canopy, sprucing up the wheels, etc). Especially the first few months when you’re using the bassinets you only need one stroller IMO. But after that…we then got a cheap double umbrella (jeep brand, maybe $80?) that has been great for its purpose. The bugaboo is great to push and a great full feature stroller but it’s IMO, noticeably bulky. We use the donkey for stroller walks, any outings or trips that require long walks, amusement parks, petting zoos, etc. Sure it fits through most doors but does it fit in between the tables at the restaurant? Does it fit in between the aisle at the store? Is it easy to get in and out of the car to go grab something from the store? Not really IMO, it’s noticeably larger than our umbrella width wise and we’ve had way more “ah we won’t fit” experiences with it compared to the umbrella. So the umbrella lives in our car for daycare drop offs, anytime we go to a restaurant, anything that is space constrained or we don’t anticipate a long time in the stroller. Maybe something like the mountain buggy duo is worth looking at to fill both rolls, but I remember it being pricy and not having as good of a second hand market.

Bugaboo for full size stroller. Nuna Pipa Air RX for the car seat and add the Peg Perego City Loop to turn it into the same thing as a Doona. City Loop is a frame stroller that you can pop the car seat on and it’s amazing quality! There’s a stroller seat you can buy later so you can use it as a travel/ errand stroller.

r/BabyBumpsIs there really that big a difference between higher end brands e.g. Uppababy vs middle brands e.g. Graco? Looking at strollers.

I just saw a video on it! So mad I was led astray by my friends 😭😭😭 it folds like the Nuna Triv, but full sized.

We had the Cruz with our first and it’s great but it’s still pretty big. Takes up the whole trunk if you have to drive with it. We replaced it with the Bugaboo Butterfly when she was about a year old and it has been awesome. Folds down to nothing when we go somewhere so we can just stick it under our table at restaurant for example. It’s also a one hand fold and not heavy so if we had to navigate any stairs I could just put baby on my hip and fold and grab the stroller with my other hand (no more pee soaked L elevators!). We are having another baby and got a used full size bugaboo because we aren’t doing an infant seat so can’t make the butterfly infant friendly. I am already counting down the days til we can switch to the butterfly and ditch the giant stroller and baby hasn’t even been born!
