We love our Cybex e gazelle but it’s v heavy, wouldn’t want to be taking it in and out of the car every day. It’s also huge so hard to fit in some small shops and cafes round here. Our friends have the bugaboo and really like it. We also have a joolz aer for quick appointments/holidays and it’s amazing, so light. If it wasn’t for the lack of storage space, we’d probably use this as our full time pram.

I spent about 30 minutes doing laps with it around the store. I was using the assist feature pretty much the whole time. In that time I lost 1 battery bar. I was trying to get it to lose 2 battery bars (4 total), but I gave up since it was taking a long time. I feel like the battery life is really good even if you're having the stroller do all the work all the time. Maneuverability seemed similar to any other large stroller. It's not a nimble stroller to begin with, but I had no issues making tight turns down aisles that are effectively just a little wider than the stroller itself. The weight of large strollers in general is on the high side, and this one weighs 4lbs more than its non-electric variant. So 28lbs to 32lbs basically. Since you're only really dealing with the weight when lifting it, not a huge concern. It's a $200 price difference between electric and non-electric with 4lbs of added weight. If you think you'd use the electric feature, then it seems worth it. I can see it being very useful both going up and down hills. The downhill assist is just a backwards action on the throttle/lever instead of a forward action, and it adds resistance to the wheels to help keep it from rolling away and pulling you down the hill. The wheels are decently sized, as you'd expect with a full sized stroller capable of adding a second seat, which allow it to handle off-road type terrain fairly easily. The electric assist has a slow start so it doesn't just take off as soon as you push forward to have it help. It took a little getting used to the lag between pushing the lever and having it take over, but I feel like it's the right decision for how this should behave. I was told there may be a video for this test later today or tomorrow, not a review video, just a "people saw me pushing the stroller and decided to add Jellycat to it every few laps and record me" kind of video.

I have the e-gazelle and it has been so worth it. my twins are heavy and the e feature of the stroller really helps getting us up hills. Also the rocking feature is a lifesaver when I am out with the twins alone. I could have a conversation with someone at a counter and the rocking keeps my little guys quiet for a few minutes. It is pricey and the grandparents helped offset the cost. I would try to go that option if you can do a pooled gift.

We have the e-Gazelle. I bought it quite a bit before our baby arrived and spent a lot of time thinking I was an idiot who got suckered into the novelty of an electric stroller. After having now actually used it for a month, it is fantastic. We don't even have many hills around us, but my baby loves the rocking feature. He uses it for some naps in our house, and if he's being a bit difficult to go to sleep I just put him in that and turn the rocking on. He's out super quick and the rocking times out after like 15 minutes. It is also awesome for being out and about, like a patio restaurant. I would highly recommend it, especially if you have a bunch of hills.

I have CYBEX e gazelle with 2 nuna car seats and an extra toddler seat. All was about 2400. So expensive, I choked. But it’s super smooth and it has a motor that helps you push. That’s helpful to us because we have twins and they can get pretty heavy. It’s been an investment for our backs. Nuna car seats because they’re light in weight, also to save our backs.

Oh my gosh, I can’t imagine carrying the e-gazelle up and down stairs. It’s already a heavy stroller and then the battery adds more weight. If you’re going on the train and/or up and down stairs, I’d strongly recommend a travel-sized stroller like a Yoyo, Aer+, or Minu V3. Or just baby-wearing. The Vista is also awkward to carry, doesn’t have a good handle for it. For the hills I can appreciate the benefit of the battery… but I’d say a lighter stroller or baby-wearing is still the way to go. Or maybe consider a 3-wheel jogger type stroller since many have a really nice push (most are heavy though). The Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 isn’t too heavy and has a really easy, quick fold. Thule Spring might be a good one to look at as well.

I also got Cybex everything due to it being a good deal (and free $400 platinum footmuff) - I ended up with the e-Gazelle with Cloud G Lux car seat. The e-Gazelle was excellent, particularly the rocking feature which helped my baby sleep in restaurants, outdoor events, and at friends’ places. I also liked the fact that the Cloud G car seat extends to almost lay flat so baby was not confined to one position while outside the car. These items are not light however, so may be difficult for some people to lift. I agree that MSRP is too much, but on sale it was well worth every penny.

I have one. I purchased the e-Gazelle S from Albee Baby shipped to SF. I have a 2.5yo and a 3mo. My main concern was foldability. Wow, this stroller folds. It’s very flexible and I’ve found ways to fold it with two seats to fit into my Model 3 trunk. But honestly, I’d probably remove one seat before putting in the trunk as it might just be faster than configuring it so it folds small enough to fit in. But it’s impressive folding. I can even fit 2 carry-ons, a full size suitcase and the whole stroller in the Model 3 trunk using the deep storage compartment in the trunk. The stroller folding mechanism is easy but requires a few practice tries. You need to learn to do it but once you figure it out it’s really not a big deal. The quality of the stroller is high end. Wheels are rugged. Fabrics are high quality. Seat belts are nicely done. Easy to buckle and unbuckle. Also simple to move shoulder position of straps. Neck pads click in place so don’t fall down and have to be repositioned. Very well thought out. Storage is really nice. Quite a bit of space and weight allowance. It comes with a cup holder which we find useful for one water bottle. It also comes with adapters that allowed us to attach our Nuna PIPA carseat. Very convenient. To use it with a second seat, I always attach it in the highest position (3 positions: 1 is default at middle, then 2 and finally 3 at the highest). This way our 3mo old is closest to us and the second seat is at the bottom. It’s heavy to push but the wheels are good. The electronic assist is well done. It definitely assists uphill (once it starts working which it weirdly took a few days for it to really start working well). And the downhill brake assist is super useful. Up normal hills I don’t need to do more than hold the button forward and it just goes. Haven’t tried yet on really steep hills but I imagine it will be helpful. It even helps just pushing more easily on straight roads. A nice touch for the electronic assist is that once it’s on, even if it goes into standby mode, the downhill brake assist continues to work. This is especially helpful if you suddenly hit a downhill or start the downhill forgetting it went into standby mode. For uphill you would need to press the power button again to get it out of standby. If the e-assist system is off then neither uphill or brake assist work. It’s a double stroller with a lot of weight so expect turning to be more challenging. With the handlebar fully extended out it becomes easier to turn (some physics law applies here). The bar position adjusts easily. The battery is easy to remove and the charging port is directly in the battery so you just plug in the charging plug whenever it needs charging and the stroller stays where it is. The weight when folded is heavy. Over 40lbs. I wouldn’t be lugging it around too much folded with both seats. But it does always stand on its own. Although if the front wheels move much it would collapse so to be sure it’s helpful to lock the front wheels. I would recommend this stroller.

I'm also considering the e-gazelle. I'm in San Francisco and live at the top of a hill, and not only am I nervous about pushing a stroller up the hills, but I'm nervous about it getting away from me/becoming unwieldy walking down the hill. That said, I also can't tell if just getting something lighter makes sense. I tried the Cruz in a store and then some Nuna strollers, and I can't tell if I'm just being contrarian because everyone seems to love the uppababy strollers, but the Cruz almost felt like the worst of both worlds--still decently heavy but also no electric assist. I won't need to be lifting the stroller up stairs, or if I do it would be the 5 or so steps into our building (but not up the rest of them). I did get to test out the e-Gazelle but the store is on an almost entirely flat street so it was hard to tell. I did think it would take some time to learn to control the electric bit, but I don't think it would be a problem. We do plan on having another kid but I don't know what the spacing will be like/if we'll end up needing a double stroller. I'm just so lost, and I can't find good guidance on hills! One video review was like "I could only see the e-gazelle being worth it if you're on hills", which I am, but it was such a throwaway comment I can't tell if it's a huge mistake lol. Everything I see about hills is about hiking, not urban hills Curious what you ended up deciding on!
