I travel a lot for work & we walk a lot when home so we went for the Nuna trvl LX (it works from birth to ~5, and folds easily and nicely with one hand) and the pipa urbn seat because it adapts for all vehicles. When he outgrows car seat we’ll do the Cosco nxt for travel Edit if helpful: our heights are about same as you two

r/BabyBumpsWhat's the best stroller for me?

I did not go with Uppababy because my friend had it and it was huge. I am 5’ 2” and on the go a lot and wanted luxury but not giant. I initially went with the Cybex Priam but it also felt very large lugging in and out of the car by myself. The way it doesn’t technically latch made it awkward to maneuver. We were doing some traveling so I got a Cybex Libelle for the fold but it wasn’t great for under 1 because it didn’t lay flat for nap, so then we tried the Cybex Coya. We took it on to vacation in Hawaii and I LOVED the fold and look, but the seat doesn’t sit fully upright (similar to Bugaboo Butterfly) so my son hated sitting in it. We then bought the Nuna TRVL LX - different than regular TRVL and we love it! It has a one hand fold, decent size basket, nice sturdy bar and lays flat for nap time. I wish I would have purchased this one from the get go for my on the go/trvl stroller since the nuna car seats pop right on it for infants. Given I realized how important size is, if I were to do this all over again… I would have gone with a Nuna Triv OR Cybex Gazelle as my luxury stroller for something with a bassinet and then the TRVL LX for our on the go stroller.

The pipa urbn /Nuna Trvl Lx combo is amazing. I have to walk down a flight of stairs and it works well. I like the Trvl LX because can be used from birth with a near flat recline, super early one hand fold, pretty light, and the wheels and frame are very strong handling not the best streets and sidewalks quite well. While I have a car, there have been times when I needed to take an uber and the urbn was perfect. It just plugs right into the latches. It was so much easier than doing a seat belt install each time. And while it is heavier than our pipa rx, it really wasn’t noticeable like I thought it would be. It felt the same with a 23lb baby in it as the RX. And when he was really little it was great.

Both strollers recline and are newborn compatible. Are you planning on connecting a car seat? One thing to consider is that the Nuna one appears to only be compatible with Nuna car seats, while the Minu is compatible with Uppababy, Nuna, Cybex, Clek and Maxi-Cosi depending which adapter you buy, so much more flexible with car seats The Minu V3 is much smaller when folded and will fit in an airplane (10x18x21.5, ) The nuna is much bigger folded (27x14x21). Similar overall weights - both 15-17 lbs depending on equipment Minu has a much larger basket, which is even more useful if this is a daily use stroller. Minu is meaningfully cheaper - 500 vs 600 in the US, not sure about your country I would buy the Minu

We had a similar debate and got the nuna TRVL LX because it is lay flat and can be used for newborns / from birth. I really liked the uppababy mini v3 but it can’t, and I believe it is starting at 3 months only (newborn capable in the car seat with attachment).

Following!!! We are in a similar situation though slightly less petite than you both; however we have some joint and back issues that make ease of use and light weight very important to us. Still TTC (hopefully shortly here) but I’ve done hundreds of hours of research on strollers and car seats at this point (I don’t know why!) and are also strongly favoring the Nuna Triv LX and Pipa system (with bassinet) due to it being lightweight, compact, and easy to fold without sacrificing too much on suspension. I think the Swiv is also something you might want to check out for ease of movement. A lot of these should be at your nearest Nordstrom or high end baby store to try out!! I am also looking at the Nuna Trvl LX for travel, and the Joie Nutmeg (Nuna dupe - nearly identical) is unofficially compatible with the Nuna Pipa for a less expensive option. Both are completely newborn compatible! Noting that the Joie car seats do use chemical flame retardants, but their strollers don’t use them, and are a fantastic option that many people really love. One thing we have totally ruled out is the very popular Uppababy systems because they are just so heavy. I haven’t ruled out Bugaboo with the Pipa because it’s a smooth drive, but still sacrificing a lot in terms of weight and ease of fold. The Pipa is incredibly lightweight (all models really) and such a diversity of options with the maxi cosi adapter, the sky is the limit esp if you have a second child down the road. For car seat, you’ll likely want to go with a 360 convertible car seat once baby outgrows the infant car seat. The new Britax is apparently incredible and several hundred dollars cheaper than the Cybex Callisto. I definitely understand the appeal of going straight to a convertible, but there are a lot of safety benefits to starting with an infant car seat.

Oh, also want to note that the Nuna TRVL LX is actually compatible with the triv/swiv (formerly LYTL) bassinet if you get the adapters from Europe (on ebay etc.) If you only get one lightweight stroller, that could be a really good option too! It’s lay flat so you don’t have to, but thought I would mention!

we are looking at the nuna trvl lx and nuna pipa urbn. it felt the lightest, it folded easily, and the car seat is easily “plugged into” car ride shares. pricey but it was the least “modular” stroller option and it rode smoothly and could be used immediately from birth

Nuna Travel LX is a lifesaver. So easy to push around and light.

We have an Uppababy Cruz at home and we take the bus twice a week with our 8 month old. Realized it was such a pain so we purposely bought the Nuna Travel LX which helped so much! We take the M15 which has the stroller spots on the bus. You might want to think about buying a travel stroller. Much easier to navigate on the busses. Give yourself ample time. If you can, travel during off peak times.

just spent a month researching. my takeaway: Nuna - loved this one the most (mixx or trvl xl) but all of the carseats/accesories make it extra pricey. my fav uber premium option uppababy- i found these all to be kind of rigid and too large. didn't like the vibe but its obvs popular mockingbird - decided on this one and so far love the balance of quality and price point. truly feels strong but also premium, while not being huge, and almost all the features feel obvious instead of buried silver cross - if you really want to go with the most premium it is indeed very nice. graco Modes nest - solid budget option. felt a little on the light/fragile side for me but if lightweight with versatility is important, this one isn't bad at all bugaboo - maybe the one i tried was a janky floor model but i didn't think it was smooth at all. nuna/mock crushed it
