Thule - Coaster XT

I have the UPPAbaby vista because that's what I got for my first and then in found a second seat on Facebook marketplace. It's VERY difficult to steer with a 30 pound toddler on the bottom seat. Would not recommend unless you already have the base stroller and only need it for occasional walks. I also have the Thule Coaster XT because that's our bike trailer and it converts to stroller and it is really great to maneuver even with two toddlers in it, but I haven't used it with baby+toddler cause my baby is too young to sit upright and I didn't want to buy the additional accessory to do that. Cons of the Thule is that like every side by side it doesn't fit through doors, plus being a trailer you can't really see the kids you're pushing cause they're enclosed. Pluses are that it's fully waterproof and great for cold/windy weather  and it is also a jogging stroller, not that you'd want to ever push two kids while running.

Ik heb zelf een Thule Coaster XT. Deze is geschikt voor 2 kinderen. Er is er vast ook een voor 1 kind. Deze gebruik ik voor zowel hardlopen en voor achter de racefiets. Dit voor nu alleen met mijn oudste zoon (3). 7 maanden is denk ik wat jong, maar je zou hier volgens mij een "Thule infant sling" in kunnen zetten voor kleinere kinderen. Wel even goed uitzoeken of hardlopen met jonge kinderen wel verstandig is. De wagen bevalt me echt heel goed. Ik vind het echt niet heel zwaar om met de wagen te lopen of fietsen. Het apparaat is licht en rolt heerlijk. Niet te vergelijken met een reguliere kinderwagen.

Thule coaster XT. Double stroller that is also a bike trailer. Brilliant for biking with my kids or for a walk. Quite rugged so it deals with rough ground easily. Also has a huge amount of cargo space.

We have the same age gap and our youngest is now 5 months. We primarily bicycle (e cargo bike) or walk everywhere with a bit of public transport and even more rarely drive. We have all of the set ups: single travel pram/buggy (YoYo), single running buggy or double bike trailer in stroller mode (both Thule) and a Bugaboo Donkey with the option to do single with ride on board or side by side double. Up until recently we primarily got around baby wearing our littlest and 3 yo walked. That’s my preference for quick outings or if my wife is with us. When I’m solo with our girls I like having the Donkey and let my eldest decide if she wants to ride in it as a double, single, or just walk. Even in single mode it’s very quick to swap from baby mode to toddler mode once they’re out of the bassinet and in the standard seat. I like the double for if I’m planning to let baby nap in the buggy as it’s nice to have the option for big sis to have a ride without waking her. I also really like it for the rain, we’re in England so it’s wet a lot and I love being able to have them both dry in the buggy on days it’s really pissing it down without spending an age getting them dressed up in waterproofs just to pop down the shops. And I still like the buggy option for my 3 yo as we often have v long walks as a family that avoids cars.

I used it until they were about 8/9 months. Laying down until 7 months (premature babies), sitting for the last two months. Face forward, cause they loved people watching! Rented the thing. Now I have a Thule bike car that is also a stroller (ideal because we don't have a car, annoying because it doesn't fit through the front door).

I said I would never have more than one and we ended up with 5… we have the Ridge Jogger, it was too big to travel so got the Minu for our trunk. Then got a chariot for the bike which came with a jogging wheel. Then a second baby came along so we got a double chariot. Purchased a wagon as well but felt the chariot served the purposes so sold it. So we still have 4 🫣.

Two. Minu and Vista. I also have a Thule bike stroller that doubles as a stroller too. No regrets. I use them all.

Mon meilleur achat de parent à été l'acquisition d'un chariot 2 places thule. Les enfants adorent (ou s'y endorment), ça permet de partager un moment avec eux en faisant ce qu'on aime. Tu n'iras pas aussi vite, mais pousser une quinzaine de kilos est loin d'être un mauvais exercice et tu pourras sortir 2h sans sacrifier ta vie de famille!

Ils aiment bien embarquer des jouets, doudous, poupées ou des livres musicaux (la joie d'écouter petit papa Noël en plein été au milieu des bois d'habitude si calmes...). Ils s'amusent aussi à "participer" au run ("aller plus vite dans la montée papa", ou bien "vas-y fonce sur la bosse on veut décoller" - j'ai un modèle avec suspensions qui permet de faire pas mal d'extravagnaces en toute sécurité). On peut réussir à les garder calmes en donnant un but à la sortie (on va voir un cochon, chercher les hérons, cueillir des mures, ramasser des chataignes ou de l'ail des ours selon la saison, ou l'imbattable manger un carré de chocolat a mi-chemin en arrivant au lac a condition d'être sages...). Mais le plus souvent, ils s'endorment au bout de 20 minutes maximum parce qu'ils sont bercés par le trajet! A partir de 3-4 ans, ça devient un peu plus technique en raison du poids, mais aussi parce que le grand ne dort plus aussi facilement qu'avant et peut avoir tendance a embêter son voisin de chariot. C'est alors le moment de faire la transition avec le vélo (en choisissant bien ses chemins un enfant de 4 ans peut assez rapidement pédaler sur 10km à une allure honnête)

I have the Vista, which was my main stroller with my first (20 month gap), and got a double Thule to run with after my second was born. They’re great strollers and serve different purposes. If you’ve got the resources and space, get both. I’m happy I’ve got both.

It’s fine! The Thule is way more maneuverable, but the Vista is so much easier to get in/out of the car and is super useful for errands. I really liked it when youngest was just born because I could easily remove the second seat for walks with the baby. The toddler is happy with it, though I need to switch his rumble seat with the baby’s regular seat because he’s getting too tall. Resisting because change is hard! And a bonus with the Vista is that it’s helpful to separate them when the toddler gets handsy. The Vista isn’t perfect, but I don’t think anything is, really. It does check nearly all of your boxes, as it did for me. Ultimately, it’s been fantastic, particularly alongside the double Thule.

Double Thule stroller! We live in a place with lots of hills, and this one has a hand break that helps me slow down/control down hills whereas the BOB does not. That was a deal breaker for us to buy the Thule. We have a 2 year old and a 6 week old. We purchased the infant insert from Amazon with the registry discount so our newborn can ride in it without spending hundreds of dollars on a bassinet. Highly recommend!
