r/2under2Double Strollers for TALL babies

You might try asking in r/bigbabiesandkids My (large) kiddos fit nicely in both a Vista and Thule Urban Glide 3 double. That said, my toddler is going to outgrow the Vista well before the Thule.

Love my Thule Urban Glide 3 Double. Goes up to 100lbs for the two kids.

The Thule Urban Glide 3 Double holds up to 100 lbs of children between the two kids. It’s side by side, and I have no clue if it’s allowed at Disney, but it’s an awesome stroller. Also: don’t feel the need to excuse your son’s size. There’s a whole sub of us with genetically large (not necessarily fat) kids. They might have some other recs, too: r/bigbabiesandkids.

r/2under2Does anyone have two different double strollers?

I have two doubles, but they’re both big: UPPAbaby Vista and Thule Urban Glide Double. The opposite of lightweight, ha, but they’re for different purposes and I’m glad I have both. My perspective is that if you have the money, space, and need for a second, then it’s a good purchase.

I have the Vista, which was my main stroller with my first (20 month gap), and got a double Thule to run with after my second was born. They’re great strollers and serve different purposes. If you’ve got the resources and space, get both. I’m happy I’ve got both.

It’s fine! The Thule is way more maneuverable, but the Vista is so much easier to get in/out of the car and is super useful for errands. I really liked it when youngest was just born because I could easily remove the second seat for walks with the baby. The toddler is happy with it, though I need to switch his rumble seat with the baby’s regular seat because he’s getting too tall. Resisting because change is hard! And a bonus with the Vista is that it’s helpful to separate them when the toddler gets handsy. The Vista isn’t perfect, but I don’t think anything is, really. It does check nearly all of your boxes, as it did for me. Ultimately, it’s been fantastic, particularly alongside the double Thule.

Where do you live? Because the stroller we have is only available in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany for delivery. Or you can pick it up in the store in the Netherlands. So I won't be mentioning it because the likelihood is pretty small. Some brands are international though. Idk if you have access to Cybex. It's a stacked model, the Gazelle S duo. It holds car seats (adapters are included), bassinets, or seats. I also like the Thule urban glide 3 double. Again no clue if that's available to you. It's a side by side, all terrain, not crazy wide, big tires (but inflatable ones). It also works with an adapter for the car seat or a bassinet. Our stroller doesn't hold car seats, or at least not the ones we have. I don't think it's a tragedy. Like I can definitely see the advantages of being able to click your car seats onto the stroller. But it's never stopped us from doing anything either. It's a compact one, we can get through most doors, if not all. I haven't come across a door we didn't fit through, but I'm sure they exist somewhere.

r/BuyingforbabyWhich stroller would you choose for a toddler and a newborn?

We live in a similar climate with rough sidewalks and so much snow, so the best option for us was the [Thule Urban Glide 3 Double.](https://www.reddit.com/r/KeepThisInMind/comments/1lourwj/recommend_the_best_double_strollers_for_travel/) Everything else we tried got stuck on ice or uneven pavement. It’s expensive but suspension actually makes a difference. It handles rough ground easily and still supports older kids well.

r/BuyingforbabyLooking for a double stroller or wagon, something to fit 2 kiddos…very overwhelmed.

I’d suggest first decide where you’ll use it most like travel, errands or long walks. We are outdoors a lot, so we went with the Thule Urban Glide Double and love how well it handles rough paths and longer walks. When I was researching, I saw [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/KeepThisInMind/comments/1lourwj/recommend_the_best_double_strollers_for_travel/) and it really helped me choose what fit our situation..

r/toddlersFor those with a toddler & baby, did you feel like a double stroller was necessary?

2 months into a 26 age gap. I have a double Thule with a bassinet attachment. Got it second hand on FB marketplace and I’m glad I didn’t pay full price because it’s a PITA to push around and get in and out of the car. Glad we have it but idk how much I’m going to use it tbh. I almost feel like 2 strollers is easier on outings when my husband joins.

r/BabyBumpsAm I being naive in wanting an absolute UNICORN of a stroller? Or do I just need to accept that I actually need three strollers?

Thule Jogger has a bassinet attachment but they are expensive. Got mine on FB marketplace.

Are you hoping to do infant inserts? I’m not sure if the Thule has car seat attachments or bassinet options for twins. We’ve had the bugaboo donkey and Thule. I’m a bigger fan of our Thule, personally, than the donkey. I like how it rides better, and it was so much cheaper than the donkey. That being said, if I had newborn twin again I would totally buy a stroller with double bassinet attachments. We got our donkey secondhand and it was a little broken (discovered after we got it). That notwithstanding I loved it for the newborn bassinets when they were little.

Get the urban glide if you live somewhere hilly as it has a hand break (I think mountain buggy also has one with a hand break). I have the double urban glide because I have twins and a singleton, and it's not compact enough for easy travelling (but maybe the single is better). Not having a hand break can be scary running down even a slight hill, and downright dangerous for steeper hills!

r/parentsofmultiplesHas anyone bought a tandem stroller but later regretted not getting a side-by-side instead?

They honestly both have their merits. I have the uppababy vista, the Thule urban glide (side x side), and Thule chariot (side x side). I use the Thules for running and dog walks, but the main problem I'm having with side x side right now is just the amount of stroller drama (they are 12 months but this has been going on for a few months)..this includes biting, toy stealing, etc etc. The uppababy is good for the rare city outing (especially as they are still in their infant seats so they click right in), but I find it more difficult to steer, it is LONG (sorry door frames), and it has no breaks which I find incredibly useful living in a very hilly area!

Well hand in hand with picking a stroller comes picking infant car seats. You want car seats that click into the stroller and can accept two infant seats. A lot of people find doing an inline stroller such as the Uppababy Vista (that’s what I had) or the the generic double frame only stroller works well. I didn’t like the generic one (blanking on the model) since it was longer so felt like a boat. After that, a lot of people go to something easier, like the Zoe twin or Uppababy minu double. Another option is to switch to a wagon (not my vote) or get a big neighborhood walking stroller if that’s your thing (it’s mine!) like a double BOB jogger or the Thule urban glide double. It all depends on how you use them! Other factors matter too like if you live in a super urban area and only take public transit, if you live in an upper level apartment, if you live by a bunch of trails, etc. Shop used as much as possible.

Long-term, you don’t want a forward/back tandem. You’ll want a side-by-side because it’s so much less cumbersome. Consider the City Mini GT or the Thule Urban Glide Duo.
