I live in Whitehorse. We used the same Thule Urban Glide for multiple children. Spring, summer, fall, and even winter if sidewalks/roads were cleared enough. We go off road (wider trails) to dog walk, and have travelled internationally with it, gate checking every time. It could still be used for other children. We also got it used, so who knows how many people had it first! It was worth every penny, and I’d recommend it to anyone. Get the urban glide if you live somewhere hilly as it has a hand break (I think mountain buggy also has one with a hand break). I have the double urban glide because I have twins and a singleton, and it's not compact enough for easy travelling (but maybe the single is better). Not having a hand break can be scary running down even a slight hill, and downright dangerous for steeper hills!

r/parentsofmultiplesHas anyone bought a tandem stroller but later regretted not getting a side-by-side instead?

They honestly both have their merits. I have the uppababy vista, the Thule urban glide (side x side), and Thule chariot (side x side). I use the Thules for running and dog walks, but the main problem I'm having with side x side right now is just the amount of stroller drama (they are 12 months but this has been going on for a few months)..this includes biting, toy stealing, etc etc. The uppababy is good for the rare city outing (especially as they are still in their infant seats so they click right in), but I find it more difficult to steer, it is LONG (sorry door frames), and it has no breaks which I find incredibly useful living in a very hilly area!

What are YOU looking for in a stroller? We went with Thule Urban glide 3 + bassinet because we liked the quality and the no nonsense minimal look. I think it's a very elegant stroller. We're both tall and the baby is long so we need the size for longevity and the wheel size and suspension for our rural setting. It also goes well with our accidental all-swedish gear theme we unwittingly started and we keep adding to it without meaning to 😅

r/BabyBumpsConfused by strollers, what do you recommend?

We went with Thule Urban glide 3, with the bassinet. We're both tall and we live rurally so a long back rest and large wheels with good suspension are a must. The infant car seat (axkid) can clip on with universal adapters if needed.

FTM. Thule urban glide 3. Bought new. I'd definitely recommend it to a friend. There's nothing I don't like about it. I live in the countryside and move across a lot of terrain.

I have the Thule Urban glide 3 with the bassinet. I don't think it fits your criteria but it is so splendid! Easy to maneuver, has a hand brake, giant wheels that come off very easil and it's super smooth and sleek. Definitely aptly named 😁

For walks you use a bassinet at least until baby is able to sit up in a 3 point position. The car seat isn't suitable for walks because the baby's position can cause oxygen desaturation. Same reason for making frequent stops when driving for longer stretches. I didn't get the car seat attachments. We transfer baby in a flat bottomed sleep carrier and use the bassinet for any stroller use. The stroller is Thule Urban glide 3.

r/BuyingforbabyHow does anyone pick a stroller 😭 open to suggestions

We got the Thule Urban glide 3. It's a sleek handsome beast of a stroller that can do any kind of strollable terrain. The bassinet is really nice and it folds flat. You don't have to get a car seat with the stroller. Most strollers have adapters if that's important but baby shouldn't sleep in it outside of the car anyway.

Thule Urban glide 3. Velika napihljiva in odstranljiva kolesa, lahko vodljiv, eleganten, ročna bremza, košara primerna za dolgega dojenčka in športni del za še nekaj let po tem.

r/pregnantFeeling pressure to buy an expensive stroller, is it worth it?

We went with a Thule Urban glide. Much cheaper than all the 'it' brands, it can handle any terrain and it's very low fuss.

r/BuyingforbabySingle stroller or single to double?

Single! We had 2 under 2, and we still rarely use our (single-to-)double stroller. I occasionally put the older child in the stroller and wear the baby, but usually, the baby is in the stroller while the other one is walking or riding on the ridealong board. Also, I do think more expensive strollers are worth it. We have higher end (Uppababy, Thule) single strollers, a mid-range (Mockingbird) double, and the "fancier" strollers are so much nicer to push even when comparing them all as single strollers.

We got a Thule Urban Glide after the bassinet stage but it's a great stroller, and they do make a bassinet for it. That's what I would get in your situation.

I second all of this. Someone gave us their Mockingbird, and I'm really not a fan. I only use it if I really need both kids to sleep and I don't feel like wearing one. We've already had to replace two wheels because one of them broke while we were using it. We have an Uppababy Minu (V2, which we used with the bassinet), and a Thule Urban Glide (purchased used), and they're both great!

I don't have a double or single to double that I love (I don't love the Mockingbird), but I do have two strollers I would recommend: Uppababy Minu - we use it with the piggyback board for the older kid. Thule Urban Glide. Ours is a single, but there is a double version, and if our home/car/city sidewalks had more space, I would strongly consider it.

I appreciate this! I plan on upgrading my single Thule to a double once the new baby has enough head control for a jogger!

It’s my favorite stroller. I own a Nuna Mixx Next & a Bugaboo Butterfly as well. It’s a workhorse!!!! I find it so comfortable for exercise. I wish I could try out the double before purchasing because I’m worried about the weight, but I’m sure I’ll appreciate the resistance post baby. They normally go on sale for Black Friday. That’s when we got our single.

r/BuyingforbabyWhich stroller would you choose for a toddler and a newborn?

We had friends who used the chariot as primary and it worked well for winters! Not sure about maneuverability inside, though. Sorry! We have a Thule Glide 3 *single* and my tall 4.5yo still fits. I will say it’s very long, so it’s not something I actively choose to take inside where aisle or turns are tight. Manageable, just wouldn’t be my first choice for a boutique or non-big box.

We got a Thule Ultra Glide 3 and a Thule Spring only because I get a pro deal with them for ski patrol. It was a solid choice

r/dadditNever knew baby strollers were so expensive. What's next ?

This isn’t true, there’s huge differences between strollers. Sure there are examples of “status strollers”, but I would also say it’s a huge difference between a 200€ stroller and ex Bugaboo Fox. How it folds, how easy it is to fold, how compact it gets, how easy it is to push and stead varies a lot. I’ve been through 7 different strollers the past years (most of them bought and sold). My favorites: Thule ultra glide 3 and bugaboo fox. Thule is my favorite as I am a runner, but it’s fantastic during winter when it’s a lot of snow. It feels sturdy and is easy to fold, but it’s a large stroller. My advice; buy a nice stroller second hand. Go for a known brand and test different brands. PS. It’s worth mentioning that we let the baby nap in the stroller where I live (Scandinavia), and time the baby sleeps indoors are during the night. Therefore we use the stikker ALLOT. It’s basically a part of me at this point (I am currently in paid parental leave).

I’m looking at the Thule double for my second kid they will be 2.5 years apart. I have the Thule single right now and love it. I heard the Thule double has a bassinet attachment so that got my attention
