Love the Cruz for walks or longer walk activities. Travel stroller for random appts or errands!

Nah, uppababy cruz is perfect. We have the V2 and travel the world with it as well, with 3 kids now and the skateboard. The first one started having issues from overuse so we bought a 2nd hand one as well.

We have the uppababy minu and infant car seat for it. He’s 2.5 now so we don’t use the car seat and honestly didn’t use that for long so idk if it was worth it, but the minu is great. Super light/small and zips easily into a backpack you can carry on your bag and gate check. This is how we travel. I have a Cruz v2 for everyday use and wouldn’t travel with it

I have V2 Cruz that I bought new for my 2021 baby who was born in the East coast winter. I did not need the bassinet because I didn’t want to push a stroller in snow/slush. On nice days I went for walks baby wearing, then I used the car seat clipped into the stroller. We transitioned to the rumble seat at 12-14 weeks old (ps I believe the actual seat is the same for the Cruz versus the Vista). I love the Cruz. It’s super easy to manoeuvre in stores (smaller footprint than the vista), it’s lighter than vista and it’s more compact in my vehicle. My first started walking at 9m (Dec 2021) and only used the stroller sparingly the following summer when he was 18m(ish) old since he preferred to walk everywhere. But it certainly wasn’t too small (even though he was 99%ile height). I find the carriage space fine (I’m using it now for my 8 month old, it’s completely fine to get groceries with). As for car seats, if you’re considering the Nuna Pipa and the uppababy stroller, do yourself a huge favour and get the UB Mesa. It’s so nice to have a seat that just clicks in with a single button and not have to worry about adapters. I did end up picking up the UB bassinet from marketplace and used it as an indoor sleep space for my Jan 2025 baby… but I never actually used it with the stroller before he grew out of it (at 11-12w… 99%ile problems)

With my first we got the uppababy Cruz and I love this stroller. Many of my friends got the vista, but find it is harder to manoeuvre to run errands (and heavier to lift in and out of the vehicle and takes more space). I got the chicco keyfit 30 for the seat, and my 99%ile height baby had basically outgrown it by 6 months anyway.

I’m on east coast and I didn’t use my stroller outside until they were 12+ weeks… which was spring! It’s not a hearty winter stroller though

Agree with all this! I just used my Cruz to navigate some tight doorways at a recent doctor appt (older building) and anything bigger would have been a real challenge!

I’ve had two babies (Jan and Feb) and live in NB. Both outgrew the bassinet before it was warm enough (and also not too slippery/nice enough weather) to walk them outside. My first was an early walker and hasn’t been interested in the stroller since they were 16-18m old. Personally I wouldn’t do a double! I really liked my Uppababy Cruz and if you wanted a bassinet they are often on marketplace.

Strollers you get what you pay for (uppababy). Personally I don’t think the mesa is worth it though. It seems uncomfortable and if you have a long baby (both of mine were 99% height), they are grown out of it by 6 months old. The stroller is a real gem. Got it because I can afford it, definitely the item to splurge on if you can! (Even second hand, they seem to keep their value)

I live in the suburbs and the stroller that hit the sweet spot for me was the UPPAbaby Cruz V2, not the Vista.

Agree - I think closing the Cruz is actually super easy, I find opening it much harder!

We own two strollers - Uppababy Cruz v2 and Babyzen Yoyo (for travel and smaller trips). Since we’ve had kids, I’ve tried a few umbrella strollers including a really cheap Walmart one (bily?) and the Summer Infant 3D Lite. Hates both of them and sold them on the marketplace as soon as we go the Yoyo.

We have the Cruz… while it’s great for walks and long strolls, it’s pretty big and close to the same size as the vista. I had a compact car with our firstborn, and the stroller took the whole trunk. I ended up getting a babyzen yoyo as a travel stroller but I wish I would have gotten this stroller from the beginning and used the newborn kit/adapters.

I don’t mind the uppababy Cruz although my go to stroller for short trips/convenience is the babyzen yo-yo. It folds super easily, compact and litterally fits it tight spaces like doctor offices, elevators etc easily. I found after 6 months, I used that stroller more for outings and I used the uppababy for family walks!

We bought uppababy cruz v2 stroller and uppababy mesa v2 infant car seat. Both are well made, sturdy and extremely smooth to operate. Tip: Look for the locking front wheels option on the stroller since you mentioned gravel roads .

It’s my time to shine. I have spent an enormous amount of time researching strollers. I walk a lot with my baby, and we are out and about everyday. I have bought and sold several, and my final conclusion is: there is no such thing as the perfect stroller. There isn’t one stroller that does everything. What has worked for us is having one workhorse of a stroller for around the neighbourhood, and a lighter one for keeping in the car. Here are my recommendations: *Baby Jogger City Mini GT or GT2* This stroller is almost perfect for every situation. We were given a used GT and I love it so much. I bought a bassinet for it second hand, and bought the car seat adapter for our car seat. I took all of the fabric off of it so it was the the frame and it was so easy to transport in the car. It has big rubber wheels, so it’s great on gravel. There is one caveat: it does not do parent facing. My guy has outgrown the bassinet/car seat but is not quite ready for world facing. So the City Mini GT is now waiting for him to get a bit bigger. I can’t wait to use it again. If it had a reversible seat it would be the perfect stroller for every situation. *Uppababy Cruz V2* I bought a second hand one from marketplace to bridge the gap until he is world facing in the city mini. It’s a solid stroller, and easy to get in and out of the car. I don’t think it’s worth the price new, especially after using the City Mini. It doesn’t handle as well and the tires aren’t as beefy. I don’t love it on gravel, but it’s great for shopping and strolling around town. I also bought a second hand three-wheel Peg Pérego Book Scout to use as our neighbourhood workhorse until he’s ready for the City Mini again. It is a BEAST of a stroller and I love love love it EXCEPT the fold is huge and it’s heavy. So it stays at home. It handles like a dream and the tires are huge, plus it has a reversible seat. It’s at least 10 years old and I’m the third owner, so I can vouch for the quality of Peg Pérego products. Conclusions: Three-wheel strollers handle extremely well. I prefer them to four-wheel strollers. If you can find a three-wheel stroller with a reversible seat, that is your best option. There aren’t many out there. Strollers with reversible seats and beefy tires are bulky and heavy, so they are better for keeping at home. The City Mini is absolutely incredible and would be my choice except for the months in between the bassinet and world facing readiness.

Uppababy Cruz V2. We live in Manhattan and opted for that over the Vista due to size and only wanting to buy for what we need now (one baby). The storage is still great and we’ve just completed a two month trip taking it to several places across Europe and Asia in the travel bag. It’s proved it’s sturdy and I’ve got the fold and bassinet disassembly down to a tee now! Surprisingly compact.
