We LOVE our Cruz V3!! Super durable but also easy to maneuver. Very much recommend.
We took ours to a festival in a park, and we took it through the grass and dirt there without any issue
We had the exact same debate and went with the Cruz! When we tried the vista in the store, it was configured as a double stroller and we HATED it. It felt so large and bulky. So we figured, if we hated the vista as a double, why spend a bit more money and take up more space with it as a single when we could just get a nice single from the get go? We actually never tried the Cruz in store since they were between models (V2 and V3), so we bought the V3 sight unseen. We have zero regrets! We love our stroller. Feels super study while also being easy to maneuver. 12/10!
Another vote for the UPPAbaby Cruz! Adapters work super well. We love our stroller/car seat combo.
I just got the Chicco adapter in the mail and tried it on my UB Cruz V3 because I was worried about this! It does fold down, but not quite as flat as it otherwise does without the adapter still attached. There’s the grey latch that is supposed to secure when the stroller is collapsed, and it can’t do so when the Chicco car seat adapter is left on the stroller and folding the stroller. It’s not a huge deal breaker, but kind of annoying in my opinion because the car seat adapter doesn’t come up and off the stroller frame very easily. At least mine doesn’t! I have to wiggle it and pull quite a bit to get it to release. So ideally, I’d leave the adapter on the stroller, that just means it doesn’t quite fold as compactly
So I had this same dilemma recently and was lucky to go into a store in Toronto where the owner gave us her honest thoughts an experience - we ended up with the Cruz V3 and the Aria car seat (was between the liing and the Aria and the aria was on sale at the time and we have to carry the seat down a few flights of stairs so we went with that). Her experience/thoughts: - unless you’re planning on having two very small children the 2 kid configuration often doesn’t get used as much. - she’s had a lot of parents come in for a side by side stroller for 2 kids because the top to bottom is a bit awkward for the bottom kid even if they have the vista, it also gets quite heavy since the uppa baby is a heavier stroller - a lot of people with toddlers end up wearing one kid/getting the ride along or even getting a wagon - if you want the slightly bigger stroller with slightly better features go for it, but the Cruz is a great option if you’re on the fence. Obviously this differs from person to person and we decided that if we saw a need for the double stroller, we’d revaluate later one, and if we did it would probably be something more along the travel end of the spectrum to have something a little more easy to maneuver.
Just got the uppababy Cruz v3 and we are obsessed! I was set on getting the Nuna Mixx Next until I saw that a) Nuna’s customer service sucks and b) the Cruz’s basket holds 30 lbs while the Nuna’s holds 10!
Extremely valid story and points. I am now leaning 99% towards Cruz v3, and 1% towards vista v3 hahaha. I went to Toronto Baby Show and checked things out in person too, and talked to the reps etc. and it made sense I feel like cruz and vista were SOOOOO popular among people visiting there. I got chance to dig a bit more and seems like solid choices.
Yes we are heavily leaning on Cruz v3 but haven’t discarded vista option yet. Thank you
The newborn capabilities on the Cruz are way better than the Minu (as far as V3s go). I just went to a store to check them out
I saw that email today from uppababy and now I’m considering it… the biggest issues for me are -it can’t be made a double… but tbh, I want to upgrade to a real double when the time comes -I already have a V2 bassinet from someone and pretty sure it wouldn’t work with it so to buy another bassinet is super silly. (A friend gave me a bassinet, vista & minu v2 but only the bassinet is in good shape 😵💫)
Reporting back 🫡 [they said yes it would work](https://imgur.com/a/sIhPYmF)! Now to convince my husband to buy the CruzV3 before we’re past the bassinet days and it’s not even relevant anymore
I messaged them after closing today so they should write back tomorrow!
The minu v3 is technically infant compatible but I personally would not use it with an infant. They did a better job with the infant capabilities for the Cruz V3
I have the Cruz v3 for my 5 mo old and it’s amazing on gravel and curbs, but incredibly heavy. I am looking for a travel stroller myself since this isn’t it. I tried the minu 3 and returned it because it seemed way too flimsy for the cost. I can’t imagine buying another high priced stroller and considering the Aer+ due to one handed fold.
Uppababy cruz V3 comes with an infant insert (proper for newborns) or you can buy their bassinet separately. They are also compatible with many infant car seats
I was fortunate to borrow a bassinet from a friend, but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend investing in one since babies outgrow them so quickly. We ended up buying a compact crib from Walmart because I wasn’t comfortable with my baby sleeping in his nursery right away. If you can, I’d suggest going for a convertible crib that transitions from a mini crib to a full-size toddler bed—it’s a much longer-lasting option. For the stroller and car seat, I chose the UPPAbaby Cruz with the Mesa car seat, knowing I wouldn’t be having a second child until my baby is around 2–3 years old. I absolutely love this combo—it’s so easy to click the car seat onto the stroller, and the rumble seat’s shade cover and recline make it super comfortable for my baby. The new Cruz V3 is even better now, as it’s suitable for newborns right from the start. (Lots of Cruz V2 stroller on fb market if you don’t want to buy it brand new) But if I were to have kids back to back, I was looking into the Bugaboo Donkey since the seat is side by side to see both kids. I have the Cruz with a piggyback for older toddler. I bought it off marketplace for a reasonable price. I highly rate it compared to my old bugaboo fox to be honest.
