UPPAbaby - Minu V2

I got a minu v2 for 150 on fb marketplace It’s prob the best option for “travel but daily” the butterfly seems more flimsy

I wonder if the strollers are different in different markets (or regulated differently). In the US, the V3 is considered safe for infants. I got an old V2 anyway bc I wanted to use the bassinet.

I love the Vista that everyone hates. I would have regretted it if I got a different one. But my kids are 2u2. For people with a bigger gap they seem to like it less. I would assume you will own a minimum 2 strollers. Everyone wants one. Everyone ends up with two (or more). One full size and one travel minimum We like the vista because it can function as a single or double and sometimes we also take one kid out of the house. Our other is the Minu and then we have a running stroller Right now if we were to travel we would take the vista because it works with our car seats and bassinet. I paid $5 to the Stroller Workshop dude for his opinion. Ngl he didn’t recommend the Vista, but I still like his opinions and videos (one of the few reviewers that isn’t getting paid by the brands) so I will recommend him anyway!

I think just something that works w your car seat is ideal!! I have a Minu but basically bc I got the uppababy car seat which only works w their strollers! I can recommend the Stroller Workshop bc he does reviews and is a rare reviewer who isn’t paid by the brands!!

So generally I love uppababy products. Vista v2 first used for a singleton and later as 2 under 2. (Not quite a mom of multiples). I love vista. I also have a minu v2 which I love. Smooth ride, easy fold, comfortable seat. Now minu duo has a smooth ride but I don’t love it. It’s good but it could be better. It accommodate a smaller frame the seat are narrow and not as comfortable. It doesn’t come with a belly/bumper bar. It’s less hassle than converting vista into a double so I believe I will learn to love the duo. Duo (similar to a single minu) is not suitable for rough terrain). If you have more questions I can asnwer them.

Agree with the minu. The fold down for the v and v2 are still pretty easy if you don’t want to wait or want something cheaper used.

Uppababy Minu fits all your needs. We had it as our only stroller for our Nov 2022 baby in Toronto and it worked great.

We just had 1 at first - the Uppababy Minu. We lived downtown and had a small space. Had a November baby too and still went for walks all winter long. I will counter that sometimes having a small stroller in the snow is better than a bigger one because you can just lift the whole thing over a snow bank. That or you can baby wear. So I would say unless you plan to be on dirt or gravel roads you can absolutely survive with one small stroller, especially downtown. We moved to the suburbs and acquired a few more hand me down strollers, including a double now that we have 2. But if we still just had 1 kid we would still be fine with 1 stroller.

We love our Minu v2 (v3 came out the week after we purchased ours). I love how light and compact it is. I take it on 3+ miles a lot and use the Bassinet attachment since our baby is 3mo. LOVE the one handed collapse. I kind of wish we got the v3 but overall I love it. Edited to add that this is our only stroller and the only one I intend on having. I’d rather have one that does most things really well than have multiple ones that do a single thing excellently.

I would buy Uppababy Minu V3! The newest version is the best since you can take it inside the airplane and it's not super heavy and you can fold in one hand. The uppababy Minu v2 allows you to add bassinet but the V3 does not. You can often find V2 on FB marketplace for good prices.

I really dislike out Minu v2. It’s very difficult to steer.

The basket on the Rover is much better! We have both and also the Minu 3. Don’t get the Minu, its basket is tiny and it’s not as comfortable to use (harder to steer and less sturdy). We love the Rover because it has the separate bassinet and then the seat can go facing you and facing outwards. You can also buy attachments to use with a capsule instead. My husband and I also loved the adjustable handlebar height for comfort. (We had the 2019 version though so these things might have changed)

Thoughts about the uppababy MINUs - Minu v1 I think this is the only version that has a collapsible bassinet option. I do not think you can buy this version from uppababy anymore or the bassinet accessory. I’ve seen these floating around Facebook marketplace sometimes. - Minu v2: uppababy just stopped making Minu v2s but all the accessories are still available at their website, and lots of Minu v2s are still in stock in most retailers and goodbuygear. I previously had a Minu v2 and I absolutely loved it. You can get car seat adapters so it can be compatible with uppababy’s car seat and bassinet attachment (which is safe sleep approved), and then at 3mo you can start using the regular seat. The only thing is you need to uninstall the fabric seat to use the bassinet with the adapters, but I didn’t need the fabric seat at the time anyways. -Minu v3: uppababy just released this version, it is about the size of the bugaboo butterfly now so it can go on the overhead compartment of the plane. It has sturdier wheels than the butterfly and is “newborn friendly.” Unfortunately uppababy decided not to make the traditional bassinet compatible with this stroller, but the seat almost lies flat so it’s “not necessary.” It does have car seat adapters though so that is helpful. None of the minus have reversible seats. But the Minu v2 has the bassinet that you can have facing toward you. Note on the YOYOs: I have less experience with the yo-yo, but i briefly used the newborn attachment and I really found it handy. It was nice to have a super compact stroller in tight spaces where I could potentially lay my little one for a nap in a friends house or restaurant. The yo-yo also has a bassinet shell that can be used, and car seat adapters for the nuna. However I think you have to use one adapter/set at a time (you can’t keep the newborn attachment on under and attach the car seat on top. ) The yo-yo2 and 3 frame is the same, but the yoyo3 fabric seat has a much better shade coverage. If you get the full stroller and a newborn pack separately, definitely get the yoyo3 and not a yoyo2. Alternatively you can get the yoyo2 and separately buy a yoyo3 color pack.

Hi All, just returned from holiday with our uppababy minu 3. Before we left we checked the specs for compatibility with the jetstar overhead bins (56cm x 23cm x 36cm) and the folded pram was technically too big (54.6 x 25.4 x 45cm), so we were a a bit worried before setting off. Just to feedback to everyone, we had no issues with it fitting in the overhead bin inside a bag. At one security checkpoint on our trip, instead of the pram going through the walk through metal scanner, they wanted it to go through the actual scanner used for carry on. As I wasn't quite prepared for this request, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was to fold with its one handed mechanism and it easily fitted into the bins provided for the scanners. This was such a great travel pram, super stable and supportive for our little man. We had no issues on low grass, cobbled paths and sandy areas near the beach. The four point harness was also really easy for the grandparents to use, as sometimes they struggle with the harness on the Vista V2. As some additional background, we've also tried friends travel strollers such as the Minu2, bugaboo butterfly, city jogger and an edwards and co. We have been eyeing the butterfly as it goes to 22kg like the min3, but as the butterfly2 has been released in the UK/Europe, we couldn't justify paying full price for the butterfly if a new version will come here shortly.

Highly recommend checking fb marketplace in your area for a V2! With the V3 out now, some folks are upgrading, and the V2 is old enough now that some people may no longer need theirs.

I do really like the uppababy bassinet. I used it on the Minu V2 (v3 I think comes with a different bassinet) with my first and have just bought a used Vista off fb marketplace so I can use it as a double stroller with my second. I kind of prefer the Minu though, much more agile and easier to steer in the city and it worked great with the bassinet with adapters. The V2 minu is also within the price range you wanted, and you can often find the bassinet on either an FB buy nothing group (which we did) or can buy one used on marketplace

We’ve been really happy with the Uppababy Minu as our only stroller up until we got pregnant with number two, at that point we did get a vista as I just could not find a better 2 seater option and it fit our uppababy accessories (bassinet, car seat, foot muff) from the Minu so that helped.

aside from the not too bulky bit you’re basically describing an Uppababy vista. If you don’t want too bulky though I’d get the minu. We have both, the minu was great when we had 1 kid. Once we had a 2nd you basically have to go vista if the first is still stroller sized. The minu can have a few car seats used as its seat, we did the Mesa. The transition between stroller seat vs car seat is easier with a vista but the minu is otherwise a great stroller. We used ours for 3 years and still use it when we’re taking public transit.

I have a vista which I think is what the changego was modeled on, and it’s pretty easy to push with my 3.5 year old and infant both in it. It’s very maneuverable (turns much easier than my UB Minu) and we get around just fine on the uneven downtown sidewalks.

If you’re only going to use it in Ubers and not every day I would get a lightweight car seat like the Cosco Scenera and a stroller that is somewhere between travel and tank, like the Uppababy Minu. The Minu V3 can be used from birth but I had and liked the V2 with the uppababy bassinet (needs adaptors but they’re easy to get) and loved that the bassinet was also approved for overnight sleep, we used it as our primary bassinet. The only downside to this set up is that the cosco scenera can’t connect to the uppababy minu. We had a uppababy mesa for that but honestly it was expensive and we used it so, so rarely. And even more rarely used it with the stroller. I only don’t regret it because we are about to have a second so at least 2 kids will rarely have used it lol. The Cosco scenera is compatible with the Baby Jogger City Mini which is also a smaller stroller like the minu so that might be a better combo. The scenera is great as a car seat because it is crazy light and easy to install and lasts fairly long- my almost 3 year old still fits well!

For the subway or bus you’ll want to go smaller than the Vista, like a minu, gb pockit, yoyozen etc. even on the buses with stroller parking, the area is sometimes a bit too tight for a vista. for general sidewalk use the vista is pretty good though, can feel a bit big in crowded areas but comes in handy on uneven sidewalk.
