"I want YKK zippers. I want to be able to open the zippers in the middle of the night with one hand not have to deal with zipper snags. This is my #1 pet peeve. I don't want to be careful to prevent snags.. I want no snags no matter what I do."
"Ours has been through a decade of rain, storms, and even some hail and we've never had so much as a drop inside."
"Really durable tent in heavy weather as well, rock solid."

"I’ve got a marmot limestone 6 and it’s great for me and the girlfriend! ... We use a queen air mattress in the middle and we can stand fully on either side of it. ... Lots of room for activities."
"Great headroom."
"Oh, more importantly it met the wifes requirement of being able to stand up without bending over."

"Unlike the Ozark trail I used before, the bottom seems quite thin/flimsy, I feel like it’s definitely designed to be used with a footprint"
We just got a Limestone 6P and on our first outing it managed the heavy downpour of a Florida thunderstorm with no water inside. We hope it will continue to do well with water resistance since we find it to be a nice tent in many ways.
Not sure why you rate the Limestone 6 lowly on rain protection. Ours has been through a decade of rain, storms, and even some hail and we've never had so much as a drop inside. Bomber tent. Halo 6 is the only thing we'd consider replacing it with.
Love my Marmot. I’ve had it 3 years and camped with it quite a bit. It’s been through many wind and rain storms. It’s comfortable, easy set up and take down, and has held up well. [Marmot tent](https://www.marmot.com/p/limestone-6-person-tent/SP_2145926.html)
I’ve got a marmot limestone 6 and it’s great for me and the girlfriend! We use a queen air mattress in the middle and we can stand fully on either side of it. Lots of room for activities. The tent poles are super sturdy and it has a nice couple of vestibules. Highly recommend.
I have a marmot limestone 6p and it’s served us well. Can’t say how it compares to others but I’m happy with it.
Definitely this. Our family of 5 used this for so many years. FYI the bunk bed cots they used at the WV scout jamboree that weigh a ton fit nicely in this. Really durable tent in heavy weather as well, rock solid. Oh, more importantly it met the wifes requirement of being able to stand up without bending over.

Car camping: I'd go with something that'll have enough room for you, another person, and your gear. I went with the Marmot Limestone 6p, found one used on FB Marketplace for $75. Used market is clutch for stuff like this. Buy something with good reviews, I personally like DAC poles as they're aluminum and if the weather gets rowdy, I don't need to worry about my poles breaking. If you're planning on backpacking, it starts to get more complicated with what you want as you're going to be carrying the tent on your back instead of in a car.
We have the Wawona 6 and love it- only downside is if you really open it up for airflow you do have to get outside to close it up if it starts raining. This has been inconvenient about once. On the privacy front, if the air is still you do need to open up the rear window/ door/ whatever you want to call it to get air moving well, which means it's generally helpful to pitch the tent so that side points towards privacy. We do a lot of walk in campsites so this hasn't been a huge deal. Having camped in both the Limestone and the Wawona 6 in rain with a kiddo, the much larger vestibule of the Wawona makes dealing with wet gear and muddy shoes vastly more civilized- we can keep a few chairs and a ton of hooks in the Wawona and have plenty of space for people and gear and taking gear on and off and etc.
I'm 6'2, I want to be able to stand in there, so height is one of the first things I look for. Second, I don't always have help putting up the tent, so I need to be able to put up the tent by myself and also I need to be able to take it down by myself. I want YKK zippers. I want to be able to open the zippers in the middle of the night with one hand not have to deal with zipper snags. This is my #1 pet peeve. I don't want to be careful to prevent snags.. I want no snags no matter what I do. I want metal poles, no more plastic poles. Seam sealing to prevent water leakage. Nice to have for me are internal organizers and hooks for me to have a clothing line, pockets to store stuff..etc. Last but not least, I want a life time warranty. Shit happens, and if something happens, I want to be able to get help even its few years from purchase. I have a Marmot limestone 6p which meets my requirements.
Not sure why the guy is getting down voted for being right Listen my guy, I have a marmot limestone and I love it. I'm a huge fan of their brand. But if you are looking to spend over 400 bucks for a backpacking ultralight tent, you have a ton more options. My backpacking tent is the Nemo hornet I got on sale for 327 at REI and it's freaking awesome and very very light. I got it down to like 2 and a half pounds. I have a 3p as well. My buddy got the big Agnes tiger wall and that's a solid tent as well. If you want to go lighter, you can go with a trekking pole tent... Quite a few out there as well. Tldr I wouldn't get the limelight tent as if too heavy for the price.
