"I had a Big Agnes for a decade. ... It sprung a leak on a trip this time last year. ... I found the leak on a seam and called to ask about repairing it. ... They asked for a pic, which I sent as well as a pic of the valve cut off (per their instructions) and my new pad arrived in a few days. No charge. ... I’ll never buy a pad from a different manufacturer again."
"if they fail (which out of all the matt's ive had over the years are the most reliable) the customer service is second to none, you will get a replacement."

"The footprint of the floor is a square for the T4 hub tent, so you should find the available space easy to work with, even with mattress. ... We have the T4 plus, which is just two squares with a room divider. We use cots and there is room for 5 and the dogs."
"I also loved how tall it was, you can probably stand up straight even as a tall person. ... Standing up straight in a tent is a game changer"
"I'm 6'3 and can stand up in it."

"My wawona leaked all over the second time I used it."
"the Sundome only comes down halfway."
"My personal experience is with one of my older tent coleman sundome, where the fly kind of goes just below where the screen material is. In windy conditions, the, due to the gap, the wind finds its way in and make the fly very flap around a lot and hence its very loud."

I went with a Nemo Aurora High Rise 4, for our family of 4. The twins are 5, so we have shorty sleeping pads for them, and 25in wide pads for my wife and myself. I also backpack with them, individually, so I’m ok being cramped in the tent - it’s just to sleep.
We have a Nemo 4 person that is a really nice that takes about 5 minutes to set up and about 10 to breakdown. I think it's the Aurora... we've had for years and even my kid can set it up.
I use the Nemo Aurora Highrise 4p for solo car camping. The peak height is 75inches so you should be able to just stand in it. It’s very easy to set up solo and very spacious. I’ve used this tent for three years now and absolutely love it.
[Nemo Aurora High Rise 4P](https://www.rei.com/product/241346/nemo-aurora-highrise-4-person-tent). $399. Easy setup, good weather protection, roomy, good airflow when you need it. Looks cool too! https://preview.redd.it/w64mjmkbpevf1.jpeg?width=1075&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbfa72e3e842a496e41d3f8c3da2c086ed4775f0
I like the Aurora Highrise 4. It packs very small for a 4p tent and does well in some intense rainstorms in the Colorado Rockies. The floor is much tougher than any backpacking tent I have had but you could also cut a sheet of plastic about the size of the floor to protect it from the dog's nails as an inner groundcloth/rug when you bring them along. I solo camp in it all the time, it is nice to have space to stand up or set a chair up and read inside the tent during a storm. I use a cheap bathmat to protect the tent floor from the chair and I saw someone on Reddit use slim coasters from a bar to do the same thing using less space.
If you or your kids are taller you will appreciate being able to stand up inside. The Limelight seemed nice but after rafting I wanted to stand up to change out of wet gear. I am a bit over 6'2" and got the Nemo Aurora Highrise: [https://www.nemoequipment.com/products/aurora-highrise](https://www.nemoequipment.com/products/aurora-highrise) It has held up through some serious wind and rain storms in the mountains of Colorado that took out numerous other tents in my group with no leaks or collapses and I rarely bother to use the guy lines unless I know it will be really rough. I can easily set it up and take it down solo (easier to do with help if it's windy of course). It also packs down fairly small for a 4-person tent.
It's definitely worth considering in that case. I imagine it will go on sale sometime in the next couple months as well. My only complaints are nitpicky/minor. The back door is a bit small which is only noticeable because the double front door is so large. My only other complaint is that the included stakes are the weak cheap ones that bend instantly so I replaced them with some better ones for $10-20 like I do for almost every tent anyway. On the height: I had a 4 person Big Agnes dome tent that was taller than the Limelight but lower than the Nemo and it was so much nicer to be able to stand up inside the Nemo that I returned that one after one trip. I usually sleep 1-3 people in it because I prefer laying the long way with my bag as a headboard and it has plenty of room for me to do that. Generally a lower tent does better in the wind but the shape and design help this tent stand up to some serious storms and it has more than exceeded my expectations.
I have a 4P Nemo Aurora Highrise and that thing is great and I can stand up in it.
Haha I meant like do you want more fabric or bug screens for the walls - I would never have a tent with just open walls. If it’s a hot place you want as much bug screening as possible for ventilation. The Nemo Highrise is a nice tent you can stand up in. Nemo is overall a highly reputable company and will stand behind their products. I have their backpacking tents. I have a friend that has the North Face wawaona 6P that he has had no complaints with. Someone else mentioned a Cabelas guide tent which I have (the cheaper green model) it’s a way more structurally bomb-proof tent, but has less ventilation and you cannot stand up in the 4P model. It will be warmer though if you camp in cooler weather and handle weather a ton better than taller tents. Big Agnes is another brand to consider too.
I have the Nemo Aurora Highrise. I'm very happy with the features and roominess. It's too often overlooked, especially in larger than 2 man tents but I love a vestibule. I want a place to put my shoes and hiking gear outside the tent but not wake up to them filled with rainwater.
We have a NEMO Aurora Highrise for a family of 4 and really like it. Not the lightest by any means but well made and has withstood high winds and rain plus hail with no problems.
Nice tent. Only if it was black out too!
lol. Yeah I’ve had 2 and they really work reflecting the heat and keeping it cooler inside. Last festival it got destroyed so I’m looking for a new one. I like the look of the Nemo. Not sure yet though.
