70mai - A810 Plus / T800

I just changed my 70mai a810-2 for TK800 model. I've had 70mai (xiaomi) since a500 and went through almost all models beside Omni, they saved me 4x already from irresponsible drivers and payed off themselves numerous times. I'm upgrading due to the 3'rd channel (beside front and back they added IR interior cam loke Ventrue) just because of AI cameras who wants to take money claiming "no seatbelt" (which I have all-time).

The A810 Plus definitely has a supercap, and looks to be solid as anything. I do use the A329 in two channel mode but it has intermittent issues with my Kingston external SSD, Viofo has had to backtrack on its claims of compatibility with SSD enclosures - it's been a mess. A119 V3 I've still got one in the drawer that was my daily for a couple of years, it can't be beaten in the Australian heat here and for it's video quality. Vantrue has caught up a lot in terms of their app and image quality, I would go for E1 Pro which seems to be the pick for a cheap 4k single unit solution. The e360 is a bit out of an outlier as they're trying something new - they have had their doozies like the s1 pro which was quickly replaced by the N2X which was way way better. To be honest, it's a three way battle between Viofo 70mai and Vantrue now. Totally understand the convenience of the Wolfbox and the form factor , it definitely has it's use cases and I can't fault that in the slightest. Wolfbox seem to be getting their game together now which is good. I agree with you on the x800, it seems like that's what the issue is. Shame really but what can you do. To be honest the a810 plus seems to be the safer buy even if the cabin is a crappy 1080p only. YouTube reviewers don't mention these issues not a single one mentioned it for the x800 even though they would have the Dec and January batch units that had the issues.

800 is because they install it for you. It's really easy to install dashcam, a bunch of video on YouTube about that. Usually dashcam has all necessary wires and tools to install it. Using these cameras on 2 cars. Definitely recommend to have 4G Kit with external battery to monitor parked car. Helps to hatch suspicious activities near the car. I don't use fuse box on Rav4 Prime, just splitter for Cigarette lighter.

I sadly had mine stop recording numerous times. I only noticed this after reading about other user’s having failed recordings posting in other forums etc. Over the course of a year, all the recordings randomly stopped. I would open app and notice there were no previous recordings saved in the folder! I did swap out my SanDisk high endurance microSD card to another, and this continued to happen. I frequently manually formatted the microSD card helped prolong it, however there was still no way to predict when the recordings would fail. I don’t trust my FitcamX anymore, so I bit the bullet earlier this year and pre-ordered newest triple channel 70mai (with dual 4K front/rear) and definitely would not go back to anymore FitcamX. with the same price, I prefer 70mai T800 dual 4K with 3 channels.

The A810 is one of the best 4K dash cams I've used

I have used both brands along with a hardware kit. The 70 Mai battery tends to die after about two years, but if you’re using a hardware kit, there shouldn't be any issues. You can find replacement batteries on AliExpress. On the other hand, my Viofo dashcam stopped working it might be due to the heat , including the replacement, even though they experienced the same issue. My car is always parked in the sun. However, I have found that Viofo's customer support is better than that of any other brand. I'm not sure about their support in the UAE.

If you have a contact in the UAE or US you can get the 70mai Omni 4K 360° dashcam for this price, or this thing at half the price. So try that route because it will be much better, my brother lives in Dubai so I got an A810 for our fortuner
