I have a Vantrue N4 Pro (3ch) in my car and a Baseus VD1 Pro (2ch) in my wife. If it’s your first time getting a dashcam, I’d recommend the VD1 Pro since it’s a nice balance of price/quality/easy setup. Some cheaper dashcams only record in interpolated 4K, which looks blurry compared to true 4K. Within this price range, the most important thing is to make sure the one you get has good build quality and clear recording.

I’ve got a Baseus VD1 Pro. I think this is their first dashcam, but so far it’s been working well. I installed it recently because I was too lazy to mess with the fuse box for parking mode, and it’s been working good for my daily driving.

Haha I get that, wiring can be a pain. I’m bad with installs too, so I went for something simpler. I’ve been using the baseus vd1 pro, just plug it in, no hardwire kit or complicated setup. It’s not full 360, but it records front and rear clearly and is definitely enough for daily driving.

r u looking for a dash cam within a specific budget, or do you have certain features in mind? I got baseus vd1 pro recently, the clarity is solid for both day and night recording, it uses a Sony sensor with solid night vision and HDR, so the 4K front and 1080p rear footage stays clear even after dark. And it don’t need hardwire kit just plug in the power. And the app is a snap.

You never really know how good other drivers are. Go watch some of those staged crash videos that happened in NYC last year and you’ll see what I mean. Hurry up and get one installed. A decent front and rear setup only costs around a hundred bucks, just make sure the front camera is clear enough. I’m using the Baseus VD1 Pro myself, and don’t forget to buy a good SD card!!! I hope you guys never have to use your dashcam footage.

I’m using the Baseus VD1 Pro. The setup is super simple, just plug it into the cigarette lighter and you’re good to go, no wiring needed. For the front camera, I ran the cable up along the roof liner, and you can do the same for the rear one. Use the little plastic tool that comes in the box to open the trim slightly and tuck the wire in. like pic: https://preview.redd.it/6t9oo9el02zf1.jpeg?width=1314&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3ac073ac1f6b80ba6c4374e1b6d410924c1b9e1

Yes, most dash cams record in short clips. I am currently using the Baseus 4K VD1 and clip length can be adjusted in the settings. I just put mine for like 3 minutes or 5 minutes and that works great.

i tried viofo before and it was good, but i like trying new stuff so i switched to the baseus vd1 pro. it’s under 200 bucks and performs really well for the price and their customer support’s been quick too. the parking monitoring just needs to plug in power, no hardwire kit. it records 4k front and 1080p rear with the sony starvis and hdr, works well day or night. overall, really good experience.

I’ve always used dashcam in the 100–200 range, and right now I’m using the baseus vd1 pro. It’s under 200 bucks, records 4K front and 1080p rear, no hardwire kit needed, just plug in the power has parking mode too and works really smoothly. The value for the price is great, honestly feels like exactly what you’re looking for.

my baseus vd1 pro records 4k front and 1080p rear with a sony starvis sensor, and it can catch license plates in almost any situation.once it was raining at night and a car rear-ended me then drove off and i pulled the plate number from the footage and i filed a police report successfully.

I’m using the Baseus VD1 Pro, it’s front 4K and rear 1080p, with a wide 140° + 30° adjustable front view that easily covers multiple lanes, and a 120° rear lens. With Sony night vision and HDR, the recording stays really clear day and night.

my baseus vd1 pro has been great for quality. I've been using it for a while and it feels really good, 4K front + 1080p rear, no hardwire kit needed, just plug it in.

when I picked the baseus vd1 pro, what really sold me was the video quality. It shoots 4k in the front and 1080p in the back with a sony starvis sensor, so it does great in low light. I’m really bad with wiring, so the fact that it just plugs in with no hardwire kit needed was a big plus. For under 200 bucks, it’s honestly such good value.

I’m using the Baseus VD1 Pro and it’s been great so far. It records 4K front and 1080p rear with Sony STARVIS and HDR, so details are really clear. Setup’s simple, just plug in the power, no hardwire kit needed. Super easy for a first dashcam.

In the 100–200 range there are tons of dashcams out there, but I’ve been using the baseus vd1 pro and it’s been great. The 4k front + 1080p rear with sony starvis and hdrHDR handles rain, cold, and night driving way better than I expected. Install is simple, just plug it in, no hardwire kit needed. Get a 128GB SD card and you’re basically set. You can wait for the black friday and see.
