This. I am using DDPAI because of its super capacitor. This is better if your car is parked outside as it can withstand heat better. Also, always use hardwire kit. OBD is not suitable for dashcam. The official ones are better quality and they can be set to turn off monitoring at 12v. So this will not drain the battery until you can't start your car. I set my parking mode to record 24/7. It helped one time when my car was hit by a van. The recording helped me with police report to claim from the perp.

Radar kit? You mean hardwire kit? Of course it helps. I can hide all the wires from being exposed going to the cig port. It also have parking mode which was important as we manage to claim insurance of a van knocking our car while we were parked. And the parking mode is not those that record only when there's knock. It records 24/7 at low frame rate. Front and rear cam is a MUST! I have not viewed many videos so I am not sure if it can be fast forwarded.

For a sports coupe I get why you would want something that does not stand out. A lot of dash cams look bulky or flashy which can ruin the clean interior. I have been running a DDPAI N5 Dual and it blends in really well. The body is very small with no screen, so once it is tucked near the mirror you forget it is even there. It records front and rear with clear detail day and night, and the built in 32GB eMMC storage means you still have footage even if the microSD card fails. The radar assisted parking mode has been a bonus since it wakes up only when needed without draining the battery. If you prefer a front only setup, the DDPAI Z60 is another option. It is all black so it disappears by the mirror, and 4K UHD resolution with a wide angle view has been great for everyday driving. The Z60 Pro steps it up further with Sony STARVIS 2 on the front camera, so if low light plate clarity is a top priority that might be worth a look. Both setups have been very discreet which is exactly what I wanted.

I’m in Texas and yeah the heat here kills electronics fast. I’ve tried a couple brands over the years but ended up going with DDPAI N5 Dual for my parked setup. What I like is it uses radar-assisted parking mode instead of constant recording, so it runs cooler and only wakes up when needed. Been solid even in 100+ degrees. I also use their OBD smart hardwire kit with built-in battery protection, and so far my battery stays healthy and the cam doesn’t overheat. Might not have the flashiest app, but it’s been the most reliable combo I’ve had for hot weather setups. Worth checking out.

Do you have covered parking? From my experience 70mai tend to go wonky a bit if exposed to heat for a period of time. So far I've been using DDPAI N5 dual. Front camera records in 4k, rear in 1080p. Night recordings are clear. Uses supercapacitor instead of lithium ion battery (important if you usually park somewhere uncovered) They can support 24hr monitoring but I didn't install it in mine. Got mine for RM340 during sale last year at Shopee. SD card is around RM 50-80. Make sure to get the high endurance one otherwise it won't record properly. Installation can DIY (Youtube is your friend. I (a girl) also installed the dashcam myself lol) or can go to any car accessory store or ask installer to install at your home (RM80-120).

You might wanna check out the DDPAI N5 Dual. It's a low profile cam with rader based parking mode that runs 24/7 without killing your car battery. Instead of recording constantly, it uses millimeter-wave radar and AI to only trigger when something’s actually near — way less false alerts, and super power efficient. I also liked that it doesn’t scream for attention — clean design, rear cam included, and sensors front + back. Solid pick if you want reliable parking surveillance on a budget.

You might want to check out the DDPAI N5 Dual, I’ve been running it for a while, and honestly, it’s exactly a small one what you're looking for. Super low profile, and the front unit tucks perfectly behind the rearview mirror, totally out of sight, out of mind. The rear cam is tiny(check my post before). Like ridiculously tiny. Just this little black pebble stuck on the back window. If you’re into clean setups or just hate visual clutter, this thing’s a dream. Video quality’s solid too (4K front / 1080p rear), and I’ve had zero overheating or random beeping issues.

It'd take a look at the ddpai n5 dual, it's designed exactly for this kind of use. It uses millimeter-wave radar to detect motion around the car, and can be triggered when doors open or someone gets close. Once triggered, it can keep recording for hours (or even days) while parked, without draining your battery. Way more efficient than traditional dashcams that rely on basic time-lapse. You can view everything through their app too. No need to pull the SD card. I set mine up using their obd kit along with the radar module, and haven’t had to mess with it since. It just quietly does its thing in the background.

I just got a DDPAI N5 Dual and power wise it is specced for 5V 2A. I checked the port power output by plugging my MacBook Pro in and looking at the macOS System Settings, it showed it was getting 15W charging from that port... for the cam spec of 5V 2A -> 10W, so that box was ticked. The only problem was getting enough current out of the port (I think, lots of posts elsewhere about the smartness of USB-C attempting to negotiate current draw etc). So to defeat the USB-C smartness, I got a simple USB-C to USB-A adapter (AREKEJI USB C to USB Adapter \[2-Pack\]) and found a pretty random USB-A to USB-C 10cm cable lying around (not significant gauge at all) and hey presto! It works! I've yet to test it in anger though, fingers crossed the power supply is consistent. Note: The back camera isn't connected, cos I haven't had time to route the cables - but I checked it powers up correctly and the phone app shows the back cam streaming. So fingers crossed! https://preview.redd.it/xty8q4u293yf1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ba7bf6e9d5505a861e555c9e9093f10cf7666b30

Meron, pero I just wanted to play it safe by getting an SD card from a reputable brand. As far as I know, in-house brand yata ni DDPAI yung kasamang SD card? Eh siyempre mas established sa SD card business ang SanDisk, and you want to be sure na hindi basta basta magffail yung SD card mo while driving, so I went with SanDisk. May no sd card option naman yata sa shopee listing ng ddpai, afaik.
