"The CCA trio and the Vader Balanced are similarly tuned, but both are one of the best iems under 30 usd."
"I downgraded from the meet 2 to se since I was only using 1080p and am happy with my choice! ... If you’re planning on just doing 1080p I’d save the cash and go meet se."
"JLab go sport + FTW. ... I have the same sweaty ear issue and the beats fall out of my head. ... The jlab are cheap and even they stay in. (Because they hook over your ear)"

"If you can spend money get a Viofo and enjoy high quality videos ... So practically I have 8mp IMX678 sensor on front camera and 5mp IMX675 sensor on back camera which is all other brands put on front cameras (Rove, Xiaomi etc.) even it is Starvis 2 new sensor it ’s still a 5mp. So back camera performance on Viofo is similar to top brands new dashcams front camera ... Top of the line sensor with 8mp and Stravis IMX 678 sensor - image quality is perfect. ... because I want not just dash cam for the sake of having dash cam, but also best image quality therefore I spend more. ... For now I ’m happy with video quality"
"The number plates are visible in night as well."
"Excellent on all those fronts."

"Can't see it at all! ... it is 100% hidden away. ... if it wasn't for seeing the bottom .25" of the back camera you wouldn't know it's there"
"Super easy. ... Took about 20-30 minutes"
"Was easily able to run the wires on the top, press it behind the header with the spudger they gave and make it look nice. Then on the liftgate theres a plastic cover panel you can take off to bundle the extra wire and make the drop to the camera really nice and clean."

"i have had the BlackVue DR970x Plus which proved bulletproof during the hottest Summer on record last year. my credit cards and ID’s all had to be replaced because they melted and warped, but the BlackVue keeps running without issues."
"my VIOFO A119 V3 has been going strong for the past 4+ years with no issues in the heat."
"it can't be beaten in the Australian heat here"

"Viofo always alerts when the recording is not working for whatever reason, FitcamX stays silent so you can easily miss recording on accident."
"i want the best resolution camera back there, and the dual ones out there, including fitcamx, all have 1080p res. the viofo is 4k ... the last 5 cars have all had front and rear cameras, and at least 3 times we got punted in the rear, not once in the front. one time some dumbass ran in to us at the wendys drive thru. another was when we were stopped at a red lite."
"Also protects against wrongful accusations from future girls in car"

"But I must say, you won't really be able to read the plates on other cars unless you have perfect weather conditions."
"I wish it was a bit clearer because I got a hit and run overnight and I couldn't read the plate (it was also raining)"
"kept blurring plates"

"After 6 months of living in Phoenix (very hot summers, like 115 degrees), my A129 Pro Duo died. ... the second died within the next year because of over heating."

"I don't trust them anymore with their built in capacitors that died."
"I was running an old Asus RT-AC68U with the Merlin firmware previously and it was starting to be unstable and needed frequent reboots"
"Asus is not immune, the RT-AC86U was notorious for getting too hot, cracking the BGA solder, and dying an early death."

"reformat the SD card every couple of months to stop any bugs from popping up."
"No dashcam is "very" reliable, which is why I run 2. 2 out the front and 2 out the back."
My first A119 v2 died in under a month. Warrantied replacement seems to be working well. It will randomly protect a recording or take a photo when in use. I’m thinking it’s misinterpreted voice commands from the radio or occasionally when scraping the windshield of ice.
Yes I’ve had one since 2018. A VIOFO A119 V2 which I hardwired myself w/o parking mode. Last year I upgraded to a VIOFO A229 Pro 2CH which I got a shop to do. Started doing it from my interest in tech but came really handy when I got into a collision on the highway. Unfortunately this is a lesson most people learn the hard way as they don’t think they need one until it’s too late.
+1 for Viofo A229. I have them in all my cars. I tried the Mini V2. Nah. A229 all the way.
+1 for Viofo. Had one in my work vehicle for years.
A119v2 and an A119v3. One for own car, one for work. Powered work one via a power pack and used a suction cup from ebay to mount it.
I know, I just found it comical... Some of my best dash cam videos come from my old 1080p dash cam from 2016... Viofo a119 v2 [sample video](https://youtu.be/zopX39FKBew) possibly mildly NSFW.
I have a VIOFO A119 Mini 2 that looks at me accusingly as I walk past every day because it's still in the box and hasn't been installed. Just haven't gotten to it. But the VIOFO A119 V3 and V2 that I have in other cars are very good. You could put a LiFePO4 battery between the car and the dashcam. The Lithium battery will recharge while the car is on, and while it is off power the dashcam.
Got into dashcam with the g1w whatever sometime before 2017z after 2017 or so I’ve been using VIOFO with no issues. VIOFO a119v2, VIOFO mini (in use), and VIOFO dual cams on two other cars.
Go to YouTube and find Project Farm's tests of multiple dashcams and you'll see Viofo did VERY well on clarity and overall performances. I got a Viofo 119 R2 and it was excellent.
the viofo a119 is a good bang for the buck one, there are better ones, but the quality increases don't quite match the price increases
I've had the v2 for two years now in Edmonton (got it when I moved here and some crazy grandma tried to ram into me for properly zipper merging). Haven't had an issue in the winter. The cold is fine, I think the heat affects it more because when I drove in the summer last year when it was really hot it was beeping at me, which sounded like error alarms. But it kept recording and the footages were fine...
I got the viofo a119 v2. It's a little pricier than the other generic option, but I low light performance is noticeably better so I went for it. Also the form factor is much better than the suction cup ones, I have it tucked up right below the eyesight unit hidden behind the rear view mirror, it's is not noticeable at all, can send a pic when I get off work In general Viofo has good reputation, can't go wrong with any of their models.
