_40mikemike_ 1.0I have a VIOFO 3 channel camera - 4k front, 1080p rear and interior. I highly rate it - very high quality sensor for the 4k camera, especially at night. Interior camera has IR LED's so works very well at night also. The wiring is easy for the interior camera as you're generally mounting it right next to the dashcam (or within a foot or so).
dbomb71 1.0I’ve had two of these burn out from heat exposure. I live in the south east US. My windshield is also tinted with 5% ceramic so I just don’t understand why it happened. I just installed the FitCam on it so let’s see how this one works.
SovereignZ3r0 1.0Viofo A139 3-Channel with the hardwire kit and the sun filter - three cameras (front, rear, inside). Great quality, plus the sun filter helps crispness in daytime. Night time quality is fantastic too. And the hardwire kit let's it run as a bump camera while the car is off and parked. Not to mention the three cameras are a good thing - rear camera is only 1080p but captures decently. The inside camera is 1080+IR. CrazyGunnerr 0.8Ben destijds zelf ook voor de A139 gegaan, 3 channels, en dit dan met een losse accu tussen mijn auto accu en de camera in, al maakt dit het wel een heel stuk duurder, maar was voor mijn gebruik wel een stuk fijner. Destijds was de 139 1 van de weinige met de starvis 2 sensor, ben wel benieuwd of er niet toevallig inmiddels betere keuzes zijn.

I have Viofo A139 pro cameras. 2 are in a cars with front tint, one in a car without front protection. All are working well. These do not have caps but I have aux. battery backup (BlackBoxMyCar) for when the car is off and the cameras are in parking mode.
I have two Viofo A129 (front and rear) and a 139 (3 channel). Took last summer like a champ.
actual_nonsense 0.2I use Viofo (specifically the A139 Pro but there are other options) and it's great. I have mine plugged into an external battery pack because I don't want to hardwire it. There's actually tons of good options now, dashcam technology has come a long way in recent years and there are some great quality cameras. There's also r/Dashcam for sample videos.
BazzaFox 0.2I’ve had the VIOFO 139 Pro front and rear for a couple of years now and it’s been flawless. Easy to connect to it with the phone app and view or download clips. Has parking mode if you hardwire it with movement sensor and G-sensor plus time lapse recording.
bLu_18 0.2Most dashcam enthusiasts recommend Viofo and Thinkware with the STARVIS2 sensor for the dash cam of choice. You may have to look into BlackVue for push notifications, as they have some cloud services. I personally run a Viofo A139 Pro hardwired into a Powercell 8 external battery that is hardwired into driver side fusebox for parking mode. The setup is about $500-600.
Viofo or Thinkware, and any dashcam equipped with the Starvis2 sensor, are the go-to for dash cam enthusiasts when it comes to picture quality and license plate reading. The most optimal parking mode setup, but most pricey, is a 2/3ch dash cam hardwired into an external LiFePo4 battery that is then hardwired to driver/passenger fuse box. This setup will provide parking mode and reduce the wear and tear on your 12v battery. If parking mode isn't something you need, you can just to the 12v accessory socket for normal driving dash cam use. I used Viofo A139 Pro and have installed Viofo A229 Pro on family's car.
Viofo A139 Pro (~250) + Powercell 8 external battery (~350) For front/back 4k images + parking mode up to 8-10 hours without wear and tear on the 12v battery.

elflegolas 0.2Bear in mind the A119 would never be able to capture the plate if it’s not day time+ stationary, if it’s a hit and run guaranteed would not be captured, I went through thinkware x1000, A139 Pro( actually gd video quality no problem capturing plates on speed, but the 139 has a known cable issue that the rear camera might disconnect occasionally, switched to the newest a329s, cable issue is gone)
