So practically I have 8mp IMX678 sensor on front camera and 5mp IMX675 sensor on back camera which is all other brands put on front cameras (Rove, Xiaomi etc.) even it is Starvis 2 new sensor it ’s still a 5mp. So back camera performance on Viofo is similar to top brands new dashcams front camera ... So far so good! Edit: make sure you get it professionally installed so you don't see the wires.

bernardfarquart 1.0I have the a229 plus two channel and I like it just fine, in fact I will be adding another to my wifes car and my second car. App works well enough, and I have the reminder to reformat my card every three months. so far every time I have linked to it to make sure I am able to downoad video it has worked well.
I'm late 50's and I like my Viofo A229 plus just fine.
That's assuming they can do things like turn on wifi on the camera and connect their phone to the camera's wifi network to download video and adjust settings.

I installed it a year ago, they may have an adapter to power it from the mirror now, but I would worry about battery drain. Also there is an OBD hardwire kit thats available in US for much cheaper so you can plug It into obd port instead of fusebox for parking monitoring
Edge3dSolutions 1.0So I use a VIOFO A229+, I mean it has 2.4-inch screen and there a setting that can show Live Video Source: Front camera / Rear camera / Rear Overlaid / Front Overlaid. So it’s possible that you can look through a 2.4in screen and that you can look at to see behind you. But honestly it’s just too damn small. I would rather turn my head and look behind me. If your interested in a backup camera in a headunit, that has a 7in - 10in screen that would be more ideal.
