Hear me out, get a Bunn Speedbrew Classic . You don't need a timer when your whole pot is done in 3 minutes. I've had mine for 15 years. https://retail.bunn.com/38300.0066

My Bunn BTX-B has been going strong with daily use for over 10 years. Bunn still makes parts for it but I’ve never had to replace anything.

I personally like Bunn coffee makers if it gets used regularly. It has two switches; one on the front for the hot plate and one on the back to turn the whole thing off if you're not using it for like a week or more. Pull the coffee basket, add a paper filter (reusable filters work well and are cheap too), and then add ground coffee. Add water to the top and close the lid. Coffee is done in ~3 minutes. A lot of people use the coffee carafe itself to fill the machine with water. However, I prefer to use a pitcher so that I'm not dumping anything but clean water into the machine itself. Just to note, the switch on the back is usually referred to as a vacation switch. The machine keeps a whole pots worth of water heated, so when you add in the next batch of water, it has very little effort to heat the existing water to temp and then it is replaced by the fresh water. And yes, you can do half pots of coffee. Just add half quantities of water and coffee and brew normally. They're not cheap, but they work well. [This one](https://retail.bunn.com/38300.0063) comes with a 3 year warranty, and the only thing that would fail (after a many, many years) is the high limit switches/fuses. Anyone who can handle a screwdriver, pliers, and basic directions can replace those for like $15. I've had that happen to two units after about a decade of constant service. If you ever come across a "broken" Bunn, it'd be worth it to check them, you might get a nice coffee pot for $15 and 15 minutes of your time.

Came here to see and what is said about the Bunn … I have the bunn and thank goodness I’ll stick with it, Amazon wall plug and actually I have the one that looks straight from the diner, and then we don’t use the hot plate but pretty sure we have had it 15 plus years now, been in this house 18 years and I know we quickly went thru a few coffee makers before settling on this.

I’ll continue to recommend a Bunn coffee maker.

No experience with the brands you referenced. But I’ll always suggest a Bunn drip coffee maker.

I sense the general consensus will be Moccamaster. And based on reviews, I can't disagree. But I have two concerns about them. First is the price ($350+), and the other is the height. Most kitchens are going to have upper cabinets, and to me, it would require me pulling it out to pour water into it, and then push it back. Seems very inconvenient. FWIW, our go-to coffee maker has been the Bunn Speed Brew line of products.

Obviously the win goes to Moccamaster. And while I’ve never measured one, they look too tall to make them practical. Not to mention expensive. We’ve used Bunn for at least 30 years (not the same unit), and feel very comfortable recommending them.

If you just want a basic coffee maker, I’d suggest Bunn. But if you’re just making it for yourself, or need something different, I don’t have a recommendation.

We have a BUNN BX Speed Brew Classic  (about $125) at the office and it's been brewing 5 days a week for 15 years now. Doesn't get cleaned often or treated nicely by the 15+ people using it, but it still makes fine coffee. One button to operate.

Ratio if you like nice things, but they are not in your price range. I own a Bunn BTX-B and it brews at proper temperature and is a very simple machine. It is like a mini-commercial unit. Lots of plastic but the resulting product is good and will last you a long time as long as you don’t just leave it on and burn out the heating element. Most people that complain about it basically run the reservoir dry and it kills the machine. You can fix it, but better to just treat the machine right

I picked up a Bunn BTX-B for $25 on Craigslist. It brews amazing coffee and has worked great for the 6+ years I’ve had it.  I only put RO water in, and have never descaled. I probably should, but I don’t think I will.

I had a Bunn Speed Brew, and it was finicky and incredibly hard to keep clean. Sure, it made a fast pot, but the coffee was mediocre, in my opinion.
