Zojirushi makes the best drip coffee & you can replace individual parts if needed. Have had mine since 2017 and its still going strong. Timer options so it brews automatically in the morning is also helpful so you can just get up and go without worrying about making it in the morning.

I recently had to replace my coffee maker. The selections I went through leave me convinced that you're not going to find anything worthwhile under $300. I'm talking the simplest of requirements like programmable and actually brews coffee at the programmed time. Doesn't overflow. Lets you use a paper filter. I don't need a "gold star standard" cup of coffee. Who are they to tell me what my coffee should taste like? I don't need a sensor to tell me my water level is correct or that my carafe is in the appropriate place, I have eyes. I ended up with a 10-cup Zojirushi with a stainless steel carafe that I got for under $300 during a sale on Amazon. It's not a 12-cup like I wanted. It doesn't like paper filters. It doesn't have a lit display and doesn't display the time when the timed brew is programmed. It does everything else well, and I'm tired of dealing with the poor selection out there. The only models that ticked all my boxes were $500, and there's no guarantee they're going to last long enough to justify the elevated cost.

We got a zojirushi coffee machine a couple years ago, my gf really wanted it for the timer feature. Well, of course that feature got used about 5 times before it became too much of a hassle to set it up the night before. I also stopped drinking the coffee made in it because it was a straight-up bad machine. The coffee was always nasty. I can't remember at this point if it was always acidic or always bitter, I think acidic. We tinkered with ratios and grind size but never found anything that worked. I tried to cover it with milk or half & half but it was never enough. Also it took way too long to brew. Also the insulated carafe was crap. It would get cold fast, and was hard to clean with the complex lid and small opening. We caved and got a mochamaster after a year. It brews good coffee, it brews so fast that the no-timer doesn't matter, it has the hotplate to keep it warm for a while, and all the parts are easy to clean. I love my zoji rice cooker and water boiler, they are flawless and have lasted years so far with no signs of stopping. But that coffee machine was awful. (I also didn't like the Zoji insulated bottle I had once, the lid is so complex it's impossible to clean).

They do make a few different models and if yours is 15 years old and looks like a MM knockoff, you're right it's probably a different model. Though the coffee was sour, it left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Zojirushi 10 cup with a stainless steel thermos type carafe. Has a sturdy plastic removable water tank for easy cleaning and filling. Worth the $200.

My Zojirushi is a beast. Not one issue in 5 years of daily use.

Have the same one, can’t recommend it enough. Especially if you need your coffee to start before you wake up.

I love my little Zojirushi. Not fancy but certainly gets the job done. I had my first one for nine years (I dropped it while cleaning and it cracked beyond repair) and am on year 2 of my second one.
