"Great little drones for the price. ... They're actually VERY good drones for their price point."
"I started with a potensic atom before upgrading to just purchasing an Air 3s. Glad I did since I was a great way to see if I liked it for $200."
"If you're really tight on money the Potensic Atom is really good as well. ... It's probably comparable to DJI Mini 4k."

"I’ve personally seen with my own eyes my friend fly his potensic atom into 4 trees and 2 walls and that thing is still kicking. ... It’s like the Nokia that just won’t break. ... He’s changed the propellers out a few times and there’s a Knick on the camera, but it doesn’t impact image quality it’s just a scuff on part of the plastic."

"The photos seem to be the size of 8K photos in terms of the number if bits (7680x4320), but the individual pixels seem to be duplicated horizontally and vertically so you only get the level of detail of perhaps a Full HD (1920x1080) at best, if that. ... The videos are only 2K in size, not 8K as you are wrongly led to believe. ... I've worked out the the photos and videos are just plain old 1080p HD - i.e. exactly what it says on the camera itself! It's the app that scales it up to "2k" for video or between "2k" and "8k" for photos ... but it's a crude duplication of the pixels so there's no improvement to the picture quality despite the bigger size. ... I bought it because it promised 8k photographs. It does not take 8k photographs. That is my personal experience, not hearsay. ... The picture quality on mine is more like SD than full HD."

"Eonvy told me this was not a problem with the drone's camera but due to automatic bit-rate compression of WiFi and the quality of my phone and aren't offering me a refund. ... Mine doesn't work as described and they won't offer a refund ... that seems like a scam to me. ... They stop replying to your emails if you ask for a refund."
If you absolutely cannot wait, and NEED to get a drone to start playing with, get a DJI, or even better, save yourself some money and get a Potensic Atom. That said, unless you’re strictly going to use that drone for photography, you’re certain to get bored quickly. The best thing you can do starting out is to get a controller, such as a Radiomaster Pocket or Boxer, and a drone simulator like Liftoff or Uncrashed. Then, before you start getting too frustrated, start watching Joshua Bardwell on YouTube. He’s got a great playlist on getting started in FPV with a controller and simulator. Trust me, after trying to learn just the simulator, I’m convinced that I’ve saved myself a large amount of money and heartache. It’s so easy to crash an FPV drone as a beginner. Controls are complex and not intuitive, at least not when you’re starting from zero.
r/fpv • First drone advise ->Walmart and Adorama have the 3 in stock. You could also look at something like the Potensic Atom 2. I have the original Atom and think its a great drone.
r/drones • Best way for Americans to get a drone right now ->If that is your use case, then yes, DJI minis are better, but there are certainly use cases where Potensic is better. The point I'm trying to make is Potensic makes a very solid drone and they should not be overlooked. I have yet to find myself in a situation where my original Atom 3 axis loses signal. The Atom 3 axis 2 is even better in this area. They also have better features in their price range.
r/drones • Did I screw up buying this drone? ->Absolutely not. Potensic drones are great. If you don't need the features of the Air 3, you will be verry happy with your Potensic. I know I am with the original Atom 3 axis and I have no regrets with it. It easily works as well as my brother's DJI mini (original), and I dont have to download the app from a shady source (my brother uses an old phone when he flies his because of this).

r/drones • Did I screw up buying this drone? ->DJI is big enough that any technical hurdle would be extremely minor to them. It's not an issue for Potensic and every other much smaller drone manufacturers that I think DJI's stance is either ridiculous or extremely shady. Potensic offers much better software features in their price ranges, so if they can do it there is no reason DJI can't.
r/drones • Did I screw up buying this drone? ->I would definitely recommend the DJI Mini 4 Pro. If you're really tight on money the Potensic Atom is really good as well. It's probably comparable to DJI Mini 4k. It has most of the stuff you want from a drone as a beginner minus some of the bells and whistles the Dji Mini 4 Pro has. Just make sure you get the model with a 3 axis gimbal. No, a 150 dollar drone from Amazon is not the answer if you care about actually taking photos and videos.
r/dji • Which DJI drone would you suggest for beginners? ->Not gonna lie the Potensic Atom is a great beginner drone. Very easy to fly and beginner friendly. Camera isn't terrible. https://youtu.be/AuF_I-hixTc?si=uzo1lQ58B20W2Bou
r/drones • is it better to start off with cheap drones? ->Just because it's 4k doesn't mean it's the same quality across the board. The Atom is pretty darn good for a "cheap" drone. I filmed this on it https://youtu.be/AuF_I-hixTc?si=FloBY6txxc1fVlVk
r/drones • is it better to start off with cheap drones? ->Lol. Yeah right. You're one of the only ones on here making that bullshist claim. They're actually VERY good drones for their price point.
r/drones • Opinion of the Potensic Atom ->I just bought one. Great little drones for the price. Everything about them is great, range, picture and video quality, responsiveness. Everything. You're going to love it!
r/drones • Opinion of the Potensic Atom ->Don't buy one. The Potensic Atom seems better value and quality.
r/drones • Does somebody have experience with the Eonvy air+ drone? ->Hello. The potensic atom seems well worth the money at only about £300, and can be bought through Amazon with the confidence of being able to return it if it doesn't perform well. I don't think any drones under that price will be good for anything more than as a child's to toy.
r/drones • Does somebody have experience with the Eonvy air+ drone? ->I've got the Atom 3axis and the Air 3s. It's apples and oranges.. hard to compare the price to feature ratio.
r/drones • Did I screw up buying this drone? ->I’m not sure I would use the word frugal. I personally own a DJI Mini 3, I bought the fly more package and I think whatever drone you decide on, you should try to go for a fly more package. Taking your drone to the park or wherever you fly and only getting 1 30 minute battery, or in fact much less, isn’t super fun. Having 3 to spend a day with is really nice as an option, though it will cost more. If cost is a big concern, I’ve personally seen with my own eyes my friend fly his potensic atom into 4 trees and 2 walls and that thing is still kicking. It’s like the Nokia that just won’t break. He’s changed the propellers out a few times and there’s a Knick on the camera, but it doesn’t impact image quality it’s just a scuff on part of the plastic. The atom isn’t the best thing in the world, but the reliability is pretty insane for the price.
r/drones • Thinking of buying a drone, I have a question to ask. Do you consider drone usage as a 'somewhat frugal' hobby? ->I fly a Potensic Atom, it's alright, no major complaints. It's far less sophisticated than my phantom 4.
r/drones • What us the current alternative to DJI? ->I have an original atom, and it's a real treat to fly.
r/drones • DJI mini 3 vs Potensic Atom 2? ->I started with a potensic atom before upgrading to just purchasing an Air 3s. Glad I did since I was a great way to see if I liked it for $200. I wouldn’t go any cheaper.
r/drones • is it better to start off with cheap drones? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
