I ride in a pretty hilly neighborhood too and I know how much that can limit your options. My current scooter is a Circooter Mate and it has been great for the steeper streets near my place. It is light enough to carry inside when I need to and still has enough power to get me up the bigger hills without slowing to a crawl. If you are looking for something that balances price and climbing ability, it might be worth a look.

I have a Circooter Mate. I’ve only put about 50 miles on it so far but it hauls my big butt around very spritely at 25mph and folds up small enough to fit in the back of my Cessna cargo compartment.

I have a circooter mate 800w single motor (1000w peak) next to my main, have 333km on it, I think build quality’s medium-fair, acceleration was pretty good, the scooter looked pretty good, range was about 20km for me (220lbs) which also is not terrible but not great. Overall if it serves your mileage and power needs and there is a good pricing on it it may be worth it (I saw a black Friday deal for 450CAD which is just above 300$ USD, can’t go wrong with that imo).

https://www.circooter.com/products/mate-1000w-all-terrain-electric-scooter id reccomend the Circooter mate. It's actually on a real sale rn being listed at $500, it gets up to 25mph and you can expect 20mi of range if you weight around the same weight as me of 1~170lbs

Id definitely rec the mate. I had one for 700 miles. Good brakes and Regen, that sucker could still keep top speed at like 30% battery left someway somehow. 20mo of real range riding on top speed.

In that price, the circooter mate pretty light only 48.5Ibs and their new landturbo is also pretty solid. You’re getting around 32mph top speed, 30+ miles of range, and it’s not huge like some of the big dual motor scooters.

Your list looks solid for campus riding. The Max G30P is dependable but you might find it heavy to carry upstairs. The NIU Air is super light but I have also seen the same mixed reviews about durability. The GoTrax G6 and the Segway E2 Pro are good budget options though they may feel underpowered on hills. When I was shopping for something similar a friend suggested the Circooter Mate. It folds down quickly, is sturdy enough for daily use, and has enough range and power for short commutes with a backpack. It is not the lightest but the balance between portability and ride comfort has been really good for campus life. If you can wait for sales around Black Friday or back to school you might see it drop well within your budget.

Same here, I live in a pretty hilly area too. I’ve been using the Circooter Mate and it’s handled slopes way better than I expected for the price. Solid build, good torque, and still under budget, definitely worth a look.

I have a Generic Kixin X9B and a Generic J01 both from [RideBlackout.com](http://RideBlackout.com) both are great machines. I also have a Circooter Mate Pro. Very good as well.

Totally get what you mean about bumpy streets and stricter rules. The Segway models are solid but can feel a bit pricey for what they offer. If you’re around 95 kg you’ll want something with good suspension and solid braking. I tried a Circooter Mate while visiting a friend in Paris and it handled the rough pavement surprisingly well. It’s stable, comfortable, and didn’t lose much speed on small inclines. Worth checking out if you find it available in Germany.

I ride in an area with some pretty steep hills too and I know how much of a difference motor strength and suspension make. The KQI 300X is a solid pick for the grade you are talking about. I have been using a Circooter Mate for my daily rides and it has handled the steeper streets near me without losing much speed, plus the ride feels smooth on rough patches. If you get the chance, it might be worth trying one alongside the KQI to see which feels better for your commute.
