r/ElectricScootersOpinions on Caroma 850W Electric Scooter C1?

Dang it wasn't sold out a couple days ago. It was a steal at $349. The climber is a cool powerful scoot, but maybe too much being 2WD. The Hiboy Max Pro is a decent commuter scooter, only see these for tires and brakes and they seem much nicer than the other Hiboys that come around. It is nicely made and rugged. Has a big battery for that size scoot too. [https://www.hiboy.com/products/hiboy-max-pro-electric-scooter](https://www.hiboy.com/products/hiboy-max-pro-electric-scooter)

I am 6’5” 270 and found HiBoy Pro Max underpowered, and Mukuta 10 Plus plenty powerful but too short for my height. The HiBoy would get temperature errors if I ran at high speed uphill, but was otherwise a great fit. The Mukuta had so much power it was scary, because you could burn rubber and lose traction. Please always wear a motorcycle full face helmet and as much other safety gear as you can bear. No joke, it’s too easy for someone to wreck into you unexpectedly.

I got a hiboy max pro2 but its about double your budget. I reccomend buying it direct or if you get it from a shop make them take it out of the box. My partner took the floor one and it had issues and hiboy would only fix it under the warranty if the shop gave us the receipt and they refused. The one we got out of the box works perfect. And yes in the beginning we rode them together the same amount and charged them at the same time so yes I do believe it was because it was the floor one they used for test rides and it messed up the battery.

r/ElectricScootersBest Scooter under $1,900, speed+30mph, range+55miles, lightweight, reliable ?

I have a HiBoy Max Pro - its great, I use for commuting in NYC, top speed 22mph, range \~40miles, 40lbs weight, and costs $650. But I need something faster and longer battery life I am considering: GoTrax GX3 - 38mph, 60mi range, $1,900, 94lbs Segway GT models - but extremly heavy Inokim OXO - 40mph, 68mi range, $2000, weighs 74lbs Any other suggestions? Use: commuting in NYC about 12miles daily

If your terrain is completely flat, there are options. Look for a 350w single motor. That should meet your needs. It is quite literally entrylevel. My first was a 650w Max Pro. it's been a solid machine for over a year and 2k miles. It cost me $800 18months ago. I upgraded to a Makuta 10+ that is a Lot more watts (2500) and zips up to 48mph. She cost me 1500. They are both ride-or-dies.

Hiboy max pro. Did me solid for 18months and 4k miles. Handled the snow terribly, but I knew that. Just upgraded to a dual motor. I highly recommend it for larger riders. Hard to find something with oomph for that budget. Max pro is around 800.

You're going to have to spend at least $300 for a hiboy at Best Buy. I was there last night and seen a Segway max g3 and a hiboy ks4. My first scooter was a hiboy pro max and it still runs well. Only issues were 2 back tire flats. The company has sent me 2 extra batteries that I have just chilling. Customer service way better than I heard or thought.
