"The Nami had a bit of deadzone on the throttle lever, but felt quite predictable after that. Both scooters can be "walked", the Apollo a little better than the Nami. That is, the Apollo, even in the highest power setting, can be made to go a walking speed with light throttle application. For comparison, the slowest I could get the blade to move was like 15 kph, except in the dedicated walk mode which is useless for actual riding. The reason it's important to me is that I deal with a lot of loose surfaces and even ice sometimes. I literally couldn't use the blade in some cases where the Apollo is second nature."
My nami died at 300 miles :(
r/ElectricScooters • Circooter's Landturbo Pro dropped — worth switching from 1000W? ->https://preview.redd.it/bbk0rsyewmqf1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93cb116d6caefc3899f2eaa5d049f7fc5d4390e0 My City’24 is still going strong. Also ride the Niu kqi3 pro, but at around 7,000km, its battery degradation is making me use it less now. City pro’s 21700 cells seem pretty resilient to degradation. Also my Nami Klima Max (odo: 1000km) requires more maintenance than City Pro by quite a margin.
r/ElectricScooters • Why do people on this subreddit hate Apollo? ->Out of all the research my ADHD brain did for weeks... Nami Kima was by far the best of the best unless I went with a Burn-E You have Kaabo scooters but they've been known to have lots of issues. I went with an electric unicycle and am super happy. Much safer. I went from 25mph to 50mph, triple the range and most don't know how to ride it.
r/ElectricScooters • Overwhelmed on Scooter Choices - Please recommend a specific scooter and why ->Random but instead of turning right on 132nd, you could turn left and make a right on Willow and take a nice protected bidirectional bike lane to Bruckner, which has another dope bidirectional bike lane straight to 149th. The S1F is pretty cool, I just worry about that IP 54 rating, especially that downhill section next to the fdny training facility on the island. When it rains bad, that area floods horribly. You can ride up under the RFK to get around. Just thought I should let you know. I can’t think of something off the top with at least a ip55 rating at your budget, but you may want to add some diy waterproofing measures. Me personally, I’d recommend a Nami Klima, but it’s overkill. https://preview.redd.it/18e855xmblfe1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5647711792427711c3dd3b1a99de1e8185c1f92
r/ElectricScooters • Overwhelmed by options - Help me choose a reliable e-scooter for my NYC commute! ->So we’re talking 20mi round trip? Can you ride chill or are you keeping up with traffic? 10 miles on a scooter can be rough sometimes. I do 28 round trip if I’m visiting family. I would suggest the Nami Klima since you have a nice budget. The max version for more battery. If you want bigger tires, the Nami Burn E 2 is nice. But it’s huge. Emove cruiser 2.0 is pretty good as well. Great water resistance. They haven’t been really tested out by the community, but the new Segway Max G3 and GT3 are feature packed. (And now feature 11inch tires instead of 10) I also like the Apollo City Pro, but I don’t like Apollo as a company. If you give us a little more data to work with (max speed, suspension, water resistance, weight etc), we can dial down the many options for you. But from what you list from being used to a car, you want quality and comfort.
r/ElectricScooters • The best electric scooter for 10 miles+ ->I can tell you right now, if you’re really going that far in one charge, the range will NOT be the only thing that matters. More so if you have a stand up scooter. You’re gonna want some decent suspension as well. I do 28 round trip when visiting fam and boooy my knees feels it more than my feet. I second the RS5 Max, The Nami Klima (I have a Nami Burn E 2 with 5ah more battery and I *easily* get 30+ 25mph and under) The Klima Max (better battery) will almost match the Burn E in range (~360wh difference)
r/ElectricScooters • Best real range under 2000? ->I originally wanted the Klima and literally entered in my card details, it voided out because I couldn’t have it sent to a non business NYC address because of laws and fraud protection (different address sent to vs my billing) So I took it as a sign and got the Burn E 2. The Klima is basically a smaller version of the base Burn E 2 with a 60v battery and 10 inch wheels. By that I mean it’s a serious comfortable long range powerhouse. I also liked it because I was looking for a scooter that had an open space to fit a nice lock on the frame, and it caught my attention because I liked the design and lack of RGB everywhere. The RS5 Max is faster and has a better battery than the base Klima, but it’s a 52v scooter meaning you’ll get less watt hours than a 60v with the same or a little less battery. With that being said, the rs5 max uses a battery that doesn’t drop voltage as much as a more generic battery (like in the base Klima). You’ll need the Klima Max for that kinda of battery. Since range is the upmost important to you, I thought I’d share that

r/ElectricScooters • Best real range under 2000? ->There isn’t one. So many different scooters to fulfill the needs of the rider. For arguments sake, I’d say the Segway Max G3 and GT3 PRO are some of the most feature packed scooters out there. If I were in the market for an upgrade (mind u I really love my Burn E 2), I would get a GT3 Pro. I think it embodies everything a high powered electric scooter should have, while being stylish to boot. A close 3rd would be the Nami Klima. It’s damn near perfect (to me)
r/ElectricScooters • The Best Electric Scooter at the Moment? ->Maybe you can find a lightly used Nami Klima. I’m 6’5 235 and it pulls. It fits you as well without any risers. But if you don’t need crazy power for hills, you can get away with a Segway Max G3.
r/ElectricScooters • Advice on scoots for a big guy ->Brand in general, I’d go with Segway and Nami. With Segway being the de facto champ, but I like Nami because of how easily I can order parts from either Ali express, or Facebook. Tech wise Segway got it. I’d give like 4 scooters a 10/10; Nami Klima (burn e is awesome but I think the Klima encompasses what I think the ideal fast scooter should be, without being as enormous as its big brother) Segway GT3 pro. I mean other than maybe a bigger battery, that scooter has all the bells and whistles for the average person Teverun Fighter supreme ultra (not the 7260r). Fat ass battery in a 11 inch scooter. Doesn’t get better than that. I’m sure if this model has it, but some have their own security system built in (key fob alarm) not sure if the wheels lock up like with the GT3 pro. Segway max G2 (maybe the G3 but time will tell) that scooter is a tank, nuff said. At the end of the day, the more mechanically inclined you are, the less stuff like ratings matter. As long as it has parts available, and a relatively easy to work with system, you’ll be golden.
r/ElectricScooters • What scooter would you give a 10/10? What brand in general would you give a 10/10? ->Nami scooters are the best. Get a Burn E 2
r/ElectricScooters • What do you consider S-Tier for Electric Scooters? ->I saw someone mention Nami, and I completely agree. I love my Nami, and I love not having to connect an app even just to record my trip, or the miles of the scooter. You can just use the app to set the scooter up, and then never use it again. However… With my old NIU scooter, there were features that you just wouldn’t be able to use without the app. For example, the most important feature (to me) that I think blows that it requires the app. The electronic locking.. I would be able to hold the power button on the scooter for 5 seconds and it would lock the scooter so if anyone tried to move it the E-brake would engage, and it would start beeping. I used this in conjunction with a physical lock. But without your phone, you wouldn’t be able to unlock the scooter again. Some other more useless features that maybe you might care about would be scooter mileage, trip miles, or a battery percentage. Most low-end commuters don’t tell you the percentage on the screen, just bars or dots representing 10-20%. So if you want to know the specific percent, you have to use the app. I don’t know how much you care about any of those features, but it’s worth mentioning.
r/ElectricScooters • Electric scooters that don’t use apps? ->So I finally got my hands on this Super Stellar that I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on since mid March. There was so much research that was done in order to make sure I was getting the perfect scooter (for me.) Let me tell you... I did just that. After talking to other Nami owners through reddit and other groups, I kept getting the same two answers. Either I was told to pay the extra $400 to get the Klima, or to go for another scooter entirely. All because of the spring suspension and 9" tire combo, or that the "Klima is so much faster." I now know that clearly anyone who said that had never ridden a Super Stellar before. This is one of the smoothest scooters I have ridden despite the small tires. I will admit I have only ever owned a handful of NIU scooters from the KQi2 to the KQi3 Max. However, I have ridden a Klima before, and some other mid tier scooters like the L2 Max, Apollo Go, and the Ninebot Max G2. Although the Klima is "better" by definition, don't sell the super stellar short. For a scooter that is only 66lbs, this thing packs a hell of a punch. It's very powerful, it rides extremely smooth, and has a phenomenal range. Do NOT let the 9" tires or spring suspension deter you from choosing this scooter. This is the absolute perfect scooter for the person who has been riding a commuter style scooter for a year or two, and is looking for something that's still practical and portable, but carries the performance of a heavier, larger scooter. Alternatively, this is also an amazing first step into sport scooter territory offering tons of customization to allow yourself to grow into it. For someone who is riding a scooter with basic or no suspension and is looking to get their first dual motor scooter with a real premium riding experience, this is a top option. I just wanted to share my thoughts on this scooter as I'm absolutely in awe of how great this thing actually is, and that it deserves more attention than it gets. For those of you looking for something in this category I can HIGHLY recommend. Keep in mind I know there are scooters with similar performance for less money, but you wont get a premium quality scooter like you will with Nami. This scooter has the same build quality as the Klima in every way. Nami knows what they are doing and I personally think it's worth all $1,699 I spent. By the way, this is not sponsored in any way, I just wanted to share my honest opinion to those potentially looking for the same thing I was.
r/ElectricScooters • Nami Super Stellar PSA/Review ->Yeah man, the Klima was just too big for me. The thing was 80lbs and I needed something that could easily be put in the back seat of my car. It’s probably too similar to the Klima to justify having both. But maybe a Burn-E and Super Stellar combo would be sick. Super Stellar for commutes and Burn-E for recreation.
r/ElectricScooters • Nami Super Stellar PSA/Review ->I don’t think I’ve seen any direct comparisons tbh. It’s really fast though, like the acceleration isn’t up to par with the Klima, but the thing rips. I never have thought “wow I really wish I had more power” specially in turbo mode. I completely understand being addicted to speed and acceleration and not wanted to downgrade but this thing is a little beast. Its a “super commuter” if you will. I came from a KQi3 Max so it makes it even more crazy than it already is. I’m loving every second of this scooter and I’m itiching to get it out any second I have the chance.
r/ElectricScooters • Nami Super Stellar PSA/Review ->The turn signal thing is odd… but the best scooter I think you can get for 40mph is the Nami Klima (or the Nami Klima Max if you want more range.) it’s about 2k and it has some of the fastest acceleration, beating out scooters twice the price. You’re giving up top speed for insane low end torque and acceleration but since 40mph is ok for you, than this is the perfect scooter. You have to cancel the turn signals yourself and most scooters are like that. Some scooters have a time limit to turn off, I don’t know of any turn signal that detects you’re leaning into a turn and turns off that way… You’re also never going to use the turn signal… I constantly forget to turn mine on. That’s just my two cents. Edit: also not to mention that even though you don’t care about portability or weight, this scooter is still only 79lbs. This is nice for a nimble riding experience, as well as nice for the occasional lifting.
r/ElectricScooters • Competitors to Segway GT series (not Apollo) ->Yeah I thought speed wasn't going to be much for me as I wanted better acceleration. After owning a Nami Super Stellar, which is a mini Klima, I can see how/why people want to go 50-60mph. It makes a huge difference when you're on a really stable platform with really good suspension. You won't be phased going 40mph on the Klima because of how smooth and comfortable it is with the adjustable KKE hydraulic suspension. 40mph is definitely enough speed, and even with that being said, I rarely travel at my 35mph top speed just because it isn't necessary most of the time. It's not that its scary, these scooters are incredibly stable, even going downhill at 42mph. I would definitely go for the Klima, save yourself about 2k and you wont be disappointed. But personally I'd spend the extra \~$300 and go for the Klima Max, just so you can get that extra boost in range since your budget is 4k anyway. Also as batteries drain, you get less performance, so you'll get more performance for longer with the 30Ah battery, versus the 25Ah in the base model.

r/ElectricScooters • Circooter's Landturbo Pro dropped — worth switching from 1000W? ->Perfect Scooter does exist and it’s called the Nami Klima ! A Nami Stellar or Super Stellar sounds though like it is more up your alley as far as weight size etc! My spouse has the Super Stellar and it rides like an absolute dream! I have a Klima, but would love a Burn E 3. It’s like gliding on a cloud, you can literally ride it with similar physics and mechanics of skiing or snowboarding. Incredible piece of engineering! If you want speed and agility that’s super light I’d give the Apollo Go a Go! Probably the closest you will get!
r/ElectricScooters • Why doesn't this scooter exist :( ->Nami Klima does it all for me. Very very configurable, very fast take off, good components, good suspension and almost everything can be serviced yourself with a dozen tools.
r/ElectricScooters • The Best Electric Scooter at the Moment? ->I'm around 100kg, so pretty big, and have a Nami Klima that has no trouble getting me around. Check out the prices in your area.
r/ElectricScooters • Recommendations for a scooter for a Tall/Heavy rider ->I ride a Nami Klima in Vancouver, but I do plan on traveling to Nanaimo with it, would be great there! It is a more expensive model, but the quality was worth it. Great suspension/stability/range and speed and UL certified LG battery cells Cheaping out on a scooter, you'll get low range, no waterproofing, sore wrists from no suspension, poor overall build quality which could lead to catastrophic failure, and a fire hazard. Whatever you do get, wear a helmet
r/nanaimo • Are electric scooters a good choice for daily use in Nanaimo? Any brand recommendations? ->I can't stand how most reviewers will say next to nothing about the controllers / throttle feel, etc. especially because the throttle feel on most scooters is garbage with a few exceptions. I did get a chance to ride 2 different Blade GT 2's and I don't like the throttle control on them. It feels like you're picking a speed with the throttle, and the controller is deciding how much power it wants to give you. Not very predictable. On the other hand, I have an Apollo, and I've ridden a Nami Klima max. Both scooters have excellent throttle control, especially the Apollo. The Nami had a bit of deadzone on the throttle lever, but felt quite predictable after that. Both scooters can be "walked", the Apollo a little better than the Nami.
