If you are getting the Creator combo, then get another standalone Mic 2. If not, I'd recommend the Mic Mini as the size really makes a difference. Souce: I have both Mic 2 and Mic Mini

i have the osmo pocket 3 creator combo. before i purchased this, i had the dji mic mini. so now both my partner and I film on the osmo and use one of the dji mini mics. i do see a difference in quality when it comes to Mic 2 vs Mic Mini but it’s not much. Def doable

The Mic 2 is awesome. It allows for recording without the camera so it’s like a little wireless digital dictaphone (anybody remember dictaphones?) However, the Mic Mini has a smaller imprint so easier to hide. What I did notice with the Mini Mini (I don’t know if it works with the Mic 2) is when I used the receiver, it saves each mic on a separate channel. All in all, there’s no real difference that I’ve noticed (32-bit float?) aside from the size and the (in)convenience of the carrying case and charging

Mic2 has internal memory to record, and 32-bit float (that is important only for professionals). You pay for these with larger size and lower battery life. I bought mic mini and it is decent. The best thing about the battery life and the out of the box good sound quality and small size.

Couple of things going on here. I’m guessing you have an iPhone. You can’t use any Bluetooth mic with the stock camera app, that’s an Apple thing. Gotta plug them all in. Bluetooth is not a great protocol for receiving high quality audio. You definitely can connect the Mic Mini and Mic 2 via Bluetooth and then record audio using the DJI Fly app, but it’s still Bluetooth and it’ll probably sound like shit. Plugging it in is the best solution across the board.

If you're connecting a DJI Mic 2 directly to an iPhone via Bluetooth, use Blackmagic Cam. It's free and compatible. If you plug in the receiver, you can use any app you want.

10 batteries! I love it! To answer your question I can post a video with a Bluetooth mic AND an internally recorded mic , sync’s in post. [is this video. this is a GoPro 13 Bluetooth to DJI mic2 inside my helmet.](https://youtu.be/OqJ10oRwViA?feature=shared) [in this video this is GoPro 13 with DJI mic 2 internally 32bit recording](https://youtu.be/jTOD1LIsSq8?feature=shared) You may really only need a mic if you want to narrate while you’re running or jogging, but FIRST I do have a FREE tip for you before you buy the mic. On your GoPro 13 it includes a new audio mode called “voice profile” , try changing it to voice profile in the audio settings and go for a jog. See how it sounds. If you’re not happy add a DJI mic2 or rode, sure. I like the DJI because I can use it with all my cameras, insta 360, DJI action 5, and GoPro 13. The microphones aren’t waterproof, BUT I’ve never had an issue with sweat or even light rain inside my helmet.

Hello friend - if outside id do 5.3k 30 Hyper smooth on Sharpness low Denoise high Color natural ISO 100-800 (sunny day ) ISO 100-1600 (overcast or evening) POV vlog facing you - linear lens POV vlog showing scenery (I like 16:9 superview) Additionally you can choose 8:7 which will lock your lens to “wide”, and will give you vertical reframing options (say more horizon or more subject like a person) my personal preference is 16:9. Lmk if I can help further or if you’d like any video links as examples. Audio for vlog external mic isn’t required my tip is to use audio mode “voice” within settings, this make a huge difference. I also have a Dji mic 2 which works ok via Bluetooth. I have a media mod but I do not recommend it, it’s not waterproof and it’s huge and it’s just outdated compared to other options. For audio here’s an example of my GoPro 13 with NO external mic on voice mode doing a vlog while wearing a motorcycle helmet. Hello, I have the DJI mic2 velcro’d inside my helmet next to my mouth , next to my cardo headset. It’s just the mic2 transmitter with no receiver. It’s not connected wirelessly, I simply sync in post. [GoPro 13 5.3k 60fps dji mic2 motorcycle POV](https://youtu.be/fzDi9DcnvVE?feature=shared) also, here is a video on my camera and helmet mic setup. The cardo and dji mic2 will both connect without a receiver. The downside to the dji is no gain control without media mod or receiver, while the cardo you can control gain in the phone app. 👍 I have audio tests on YouTube for cardo and Dji headsets via Bluetooth lmk if you’d like a listen. My personal recommendation is either a media mod with a wired rode lapel mic or the cardo. It’s not awful. I found -8 gain to be good with a helmet mic.

Sure thing, here’s my GoPro 13 on Bluetooth to Dji mic 2 in my helmet. [Dji mic 2 GoPro 13](https://youtu.be/QY3HmvyuPQ8?feature=shared) [wired lapel mic rode](https://youtu.be/uJpGHs1Tm_k?feature=shared) You can connect the cardo buy the downside to the cardo is it has so much noise cancelation built in even when “off” mode it’s tough to hear engine noise , only voice. Side note also when using the media mod your GoPro is no longer waterproof. My GoPro 10 met an early demise in a rainstorm while riding. I have the GoPro 13 & action 4, the action 4 connects to the dji mjc 2 with some 32 bit float mode so it sounds quite good. Here’s that example . I used to have the Rode Wireless Mic Go 2 and switched to the DJI Mics and then the DJI Mic 2 because they were much more user-friendly. What bothered me most was that with the Rode Wireless Mic Go 2 you needed the PC program or a phone app to change settings and to transfer or convert audio files to the PC, whereas with DJI you get ready-to-use files and can make all the settings on the receiver. I don't know if they improved that point on the Wireless pro. I didn't notice any major difference in the audio quality straight away, but I only use the devices every now and then. I mainly used the devices when I was at events in my village or community, taking photos or videos for clubs, or occasionally recording church services. There I also often used the Sony UX570 voice recorder and connected it to their mixer or microphones if available, and often used the audio track and the DJI Mics as an alternative. I personally don't currently plan on switching to the DJI Mics 3. While I find it interesting that you can use up to four microphones, it's a bit silly for me because I also like to connect lavalier or directional microphones and use a 3.5mm jack input. When I've used the DJI Mics, I usually record the audio into the microphones and then synchronize it with DaVinci Resolve afterward, just to have a bit more flexibility in the sound quality, especially when using musical instruments that push the volume to the limit. I don't do this professionally, but more as a hobby. I use a DJI Pocket 2, Pocket 3, Sony A6500, and occasionally a DJI Action 5, and I usually just film from multiple angles and then edit them together afterwards.

i would either try something like a Zoom h2n/h3n on the table or would go for a dji mic/mic mini per person and then record in the device and sync in post.

Yeah dji 2 has been a really easy audio solution for shoots I just want to ensure has a quick and solid audio signal without many steps. Self charging case is nice too
