jovian24 1.0I've got a WA-14, clone of the 414. Maybe the real version sounds a lot different, but it's got a pretty unpleasant sharpness in the high mids, especially in fig 8 mode

waterfowlplay 1.0I think the nt1a is perfectly sufficient compared to this list of mics with the exception of the KSM32. The wa-14 is a good buy, but only because of the pattern options, which is super helpful to have a pair of. Rent/borrow/return as many mics as you can and do direct comparisons.
