"its an incredible watch. ... I have never been happier. It is miles ahead of FR 255 in all aspects, workout detection, responsiveness, and functionality. It's amazing for $200. ... the quality, heart rate accuracy, and design are top notch and making quality products, most importantly - at a low cost. ... T-rex 3 is waaay better than $350-$1000 Garmin. I don't think its better than $1300 Fenix 8, but it can compete with it, there are reviews on youtube from credible youtubers comparing these 2. The fact that they are comparing and not finding too much of a gap between $1300 and $200 watches is more than enough to tell you how good T-rex 3 is."

It's amazing for $200. ... this is the main point of buying Amazfit products! ... had my trex 3 for 3 months now, and like it so much more than my garmin epix pro, and, like someone said, even if it burns out, I can buy 2 replacements or more, and still save money over the overpriced garmin stuff"

"It's huge compared to the instinct. ... Also, it's shape and odd strap made it feel even bigger. ... I changed out the strap with nylon, which helped a bit, but still It's very big. ... the shape made it look comically big."

"I lost hope in any serious, big updates for Amazfit watches"
"I turned on the Morning Report on my T-Rex, but it doesn't show anything when I wake up."
"Amazfit Zepp app is not better than Garmin Connect, but then again its not really worse, just different in terms of things that do not work, or are buggy. ... Both companies really need to improve their software."

"the readiness doesn't change throughout the day. ... Readiness score needs some tweaks ASAP, it basically doesn't change, no matter the quality of your sleep, like it does say kinda "your sleep quality was okayish, take it easy today, but here is your 87 readiness score" which is absurd to say the least. ... I wish Amazfit added a Body battery kinda feature to look at throughout the day"

"Its out-of-box rubber band is quite low quality and gave me insane rashes in a few hours of wearing it."
"With the TRex 3’s default strap on the tightest hole that’s mostly okay but I do use an external HRM during workouts."

"it does not have google play store or third-party apps so if you’re into installing spotify or messaging apps on your watch, this ain’t it."

The sensors suit me. It detects sleep well. It gives advice on recovery. The watch worked in auto mode for about 10 days, 57% remained. I can't compare it with the Pro version, I haven't used the Pro version.
The watch so many people have no idea exists, is the Amazfit T-Rex 2 or 3. I prefer the 2 as the size is perfect but the 3 is larger. These watches can do it all and have a battery life on a single charge of 27-30 days. Yes, it tracks your health, phone calls and messages etc. You name it, it can do it. I was dead set on Garmins top watch and stumbled on the Trex at Best buy by accident. Saw it was a couple hundred bucks and can't find anything like it for the price. "Honestly there are SO many expensive options out there that do NOTHING, go for mid tier options like these 2 since stuff like this strikes a balance between price and features. 1) [The Amazfit one](https://quancoconline.com/dp-B0DHZDCF6WI) this one’s my top pick if you want REALLY GOOD battery life (27+ days), reliable fitness tracking, proper waterproofing, offline maps, and even AI voice control. Like, it does everything you actually need without turning into a second phone but it does not have google play store or third-party apps so if you’re into installing spotify or messaging apps on your watch, this ain’t it. 2) Galaxy watch6 is sleek, very smooth if you’re on a samsung phone, and probably the best looking out of the bunch. The fitness tracking’s good, and notifications are seamless but battery life isn’t great usually around 1–1.5 days tops, so you’ll need to charge it almost daily."
I love Amazfit. I have the T-Rex and T-Rex 3, the 3 gets about 14-18 days of battery even with GPS on.

Just about any fitness watch will do a decent job of that. I just got an Amazfit T-Rex 3 and it's really nice. Very good battery life, all the body metrics you can imagine, very accurate GPS, and just about all the smartwatch features you could hope for. It just doesn't have the seamless integration that an Apple watch has with iPhone or a Galaxy Watch has with Samsung.
Personally, I found maps on a watch mostly useless. I've had a Garmin Fenix 5x and I currently have an Amazfit T-Rex 3. The screen is too small to see any real details. I had to constantly zoom in to see any details that were near, then zoom back out so I could see just a little bit further ahead. Eventually, I fully gave up with the watch maps. It's MUCH easier to just use your phone for map navigation. Plus here's something to consider...if you have a fast charging power bank, a phone will charge *MUCH* faster than a watch. Not to mention, this time of year your watch is probably covered by at least one sleeve and maybe the cuff of a glove, too. Which makes it much more cumbersome to use for anything, let alone navigation Edit: I'm not saying you can't navigate with it. You can. But it's not "just glance at my watch to see where I'm going". It's not that. You have to stop and fiddle with it, and fiddle with it, and fiddle with it
How small? Mine is 5.9” and I wear a T-Rex 3 and Balance 2. Yes they are large on my wrist but I love a chunky watch. Of the two, Balance 2 is definitely better for less movement on wrist during a workout (which translates to more reliable HRM data).
I tend to wear my watches about 3 finger width behind my wrist bone. With the TRex 3’s default strap on the tightest hole that’s mostly okay but I do use an external HRM during workouts. If I swap in a different strap (similar in style to the Apple sport band with all the holes in it) I can get the device pretty securely in place and have no issues. With the Balance 2 (using the red strap, I haven’t tried the black one) I have zero issues. If either watch were *any* bigger it would be a problem though. They do look massive on my arm, but I like that style. If you’re not sure, the slightly smaller Active 2 might be a safer bet. Feature and sensor wise it’s almost the same. It doesn’t have multi-band GPS, but neither does my Apple Watch 10 and it doesn’t great with GPS accuracy. Sometimes the specs aren’t the whole story.
I switched from Venu 2 to Amazfit Rex3 and I don't regret it
The Amazfit T Rex 3 is a steal for the price and features. They also just released a Pro model which has on board mapping and other features typically reserved for expensive garmin models. Battery life is amazing and GPS accuracy has been great for me in Colorado.
Same here. Got an instinct 2x, was gifted a t-rex3 and boy is it really nice! Also got the Balance meanwhile just to keep tracking all the things without the sporty look when I feel like it. I am pretty satisfied with both of them and ended up giving my instinct to my cousin a couple of months ago.
Couldn't have said it better dude! It literally makes no sense. I understand not supporting the watches for long bc they are really affordable and they have to make money somehow (forcing people to update sooner than they should). I did see value having Bip6, Active 2, Balance 2, T-Rex 3 (a T-Rex 3 44mm would've been nice). But what's the point on flooding their line up? Why Active 2 Premium, Active 2 Square, Active Max, T-Rex 3 Pro, T-Rex Ultra 2, like wth??? Why so freakin many???? They’re acting like a pick me boy, desperately looking for people validation and headlines. Focus on your best watches, give pro features to you higher lineup (Balance 2 and T-Rex 3) to get athletes to buy the watches, while keeping your affordable lineup (Bip and Active) as good as it is for Active people who might do some sports so they can still have a good watch. They’ve been working for god knows how many months now probably like a year in ONE helio strap band. We're depending on 3rd parties to come with better straps bc they are unable to. The sleep tags are kinda mid, they could improve that so we can get more insights with a Zepp Aura subscription. It feels like they release a watch, someone tells them that the watch was missing something, and just a couple of months later they release a new version that is almost the same thing but with those things that were missing. Instead of waiting and develop other things, they’re focusing in how many watches can they release in a span of 6 months. I wouldn't be surprise if in the next months we'll see 3 new versions of the cheetah, an Active EDGE 2, Active Edge 2 PREMIUM, and more bullshit products.
