I am using an Amazfit trex 2 since last 3 years and it's an amazing value for money smart watch. You can check out accuracy comparison videos for this with garmin, whoop or apple watch on YouTube. Its a common consensus in fitness community that it delivers good value at the price point. Amazfit has recently launched the next version of t rex 3 pro which is an amazing watch too. I have recently heard very good reviews about hart ring by fittr in my network too.

I've had it for a few days and I don't share the experience on that article. I have a lot of different smartwatches and I can say that so far it's one of the best I've tried. There have been already a number of reviews that are diametrally opposite to that wired review as well. Judging by the publication date it's possible they had an early review sample. There have been numerous software updates since.

Amazfit Balance 2 should be about that price. The T-Rex 3 as well for something more sporty. The T-Rex 3 pro is out of that price range, but it's worth the extra. Or Bip 6, or Active 2 round or square, for a cheaper option with the same sensors and 90% of the features and limited local storage. The current gen of Amazfit devices are really very good.

Pixel watch 2 has been phenomenal for me despite the small screen and the poor battery life. But it's been dependable and still has some of the best sensors available on a watch. I've recently switched from it to an amazfit t-rex 3 pro and what an absolute beast it is. Better in every way that matters to me except maybe contactless payments. Top notch sensors, a large bright amoled display, the torch is excellent and more useful that I can express, sports tracking is spot on with plenty of detail and configurability, and I can squeeze about 10 to 12 days off the battery with heavy usage. Love it.

Hands down, Amazfit T-Rex 3 Pro. Really good sports smartwatch, sensors, torch and smartwatch-y features

Solid watch for sure. But the amazfit does have a better heart rate sensor.

Then there's no real need. Other than repairability and battery life you won't get any real extra value as the pw2 is already phenomenal. Faced with the same choice you ponder right now, I actually went a different direction for something completely new, an amazfit t-rex 3 pro and I'm really happy with it.

As someone who has a T-rex 3 pro, I definitely recommend it.

My T-Rex 3 Pro connects without issue to my Wahoo Kickr and reports power data back to Zepp. I don't have a Balance 2 to test. And I have the Wahoo app connect to the watch for heart rate, although in your case you'd use your chest strap.

I have a Fenix 8. Instead of a Garmin, I'd suggest go for a Trex 3 Pro. Its the best combination of a smart watch and sports watch and much cheaper than the Garmin flagships.

Maps are the same between the watches. Frankly, almost everything on the software side between the two is the same other than the Balance having a golf mode. The big differences between the two is the T-Rex 3 Pro has a brighter 3000 nit screen, a titanium bezel, the led flashlight and a more rugged build that can handle colder temperatures supposedly. Personally, I’m on team buttons, but the crown is easy enough to use.

Was just in the same boat, switch from a FR255s to T Rex 3 Pro 4mm. Was pretty smooth until I noticed HR issues yesterday, it does seem like it might be my smaller wrist 16.5cm being too small for steady readings with the 44mm model? Just did up a post, looking for answers. [https://www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/1r7o0xb/hr\_accuracy\_issues\_on\_small\_wrist\_165\_cm\_with/](https://www.reddit.com/r/amazfit/comments/1r7o0xb/hr_accuracy_issues_on_small_wrist_165_cm_with/) FYI. I've been wearing one watch on each hand, to see how well the transition goes, since I've been a longtime Garmin user for 5 years owning multiple watches (but like many others have grown disillusioned with their elitist pricing in recent years).

I don't think you can get a bigger bang for buck than with amazfit. Active 2 premium does 90%+ what the apple ultra 2 does? For around 10% the cost? Crazy. Want something bigger and 'fancier'? You got balance 2 and t rex pro 3 that look really good and are even a bit bigger with better battery, and more durable

Just got mine, does everything I need, love the look and size. Has serious potential. HOWEVER……..the 2 most important things for me personally is for it to sync with “lose it” and just control my music from my phone. Both of which I am running into issues with. I have 30 days to figure it out. Hopefully I can cause I really like everything else about it. BUT those 2 things are deal breakers for me. Fingers Crossed🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

r/amazfitIs anyone satisfied with the T-rex 3 pro?

Technically yes, but I have been using it for 6+ years as my “macro” tracker or food logger. So it has 6 years of my entering certain foods into it which now makes my meal tracking take me less than 2 minutes a day to enter. I appreciate tech. BUT hate losing all my time entering shit. All this info is great but it’s now costing us time not saving us time🤪🤪. It syncs with my apple health. BUT Zepp won’t read my nutrition data from apple health🤬🤬. Like I said I love this thing so far. But it’s not worth 6 years of my nutrition history. If need be I’ll spend the extra 200$ and get a AW Ultra 2. Hopefully there is a trick or something I’m missing and It will get figured out before my 30 days are up

Trex 3 Pro AND iOS user here….my quick response is DO NOT get it. I am happy with the Amazfit/Zepp platform so far, they seem to constantly trying to improve or make changes. HOWEVER constantly keeping the app open on your phone drains your battery. Very few things cross over to iOS. It is a GREAT looking watch relatively easy to use and understand however like another poster said it’s more of a glorified fitness tracker NOT a smart watch ESPECIALLY when paired with iOS. It may crossover better with android but I wouldn’t know. So fitness tracker very happy……any form of smart watch not impressed or at least not there yet.

I’ve got buyers remorse, it is what it is. So I’m making the best of it. Problem for me is…..I don’t want a smart watch, I enjoy not being bothered, when working out, BUT I want a fitness tracker that controls my music. In hindsight the Bip would probably have been better price wise. I figure by the time this one craps out in a few years the Ultra 2 will be pretty cheap🤞🤞🤞
