Beyond overall quality issues (have gone through 3 of them) they are still lacking features found in the first model because Google silently killed the Sense line and went all in with the Pixel watch. My sense 2 had been pretty much abandoned in terms of new features and SDK support.
I've been doing similar research as my Fitbit Sense 2 is starting to age. There are some good subreddits with comparisons between Fitbit and Garmin, with discussions about how activities and health stats are tracked. Ultimately, reading heaps of reviews helped me decide that I'm going to stick with Fitbit for now but it will come down to which features are more important for you. I'll see if I can find some of the stuff I found helpful.
I got the sense 2 when my versa 2 went bad and like it.
I absolutely would, especially now with the AI coach. It suits my needs and I have aong history with Fitbit. I replaced my Sense with a Sense2 earlier this year.
Coming from the 7 Ultra probably the look. It's less classy watch looking even the bigger pixel size is still small pebble like. So it looks more fitness watch like and less watch like. there are ton of bands out there that you can snap it into that will make it look like it's a timex lol. Probably the other thing is it's a rounded glass dome and it can be bumped a bit easier however I put a spigen liquid air bumper on mine and it actually kinda fixed both these problems. It gave it a flatter appearance and made the watch a smidge wider on my wrist. Other then that I like wearOS on it it's been smooth and responsive. Honestly havn't been working out as much as I should be so haven't really had time to revisit the fitbit app, last time I used it I think I had the Sense 2 when it first came out before Google bought Fitbit.
When my Sense went down last week, it wouldn't hold a charge, I got a new charger a year ago, so I should have seen it coming. I replaced it with the Sense 2 (both fitbit products). I like the long battery life, eda scan & relax features that can be used with or without the app. I can have it check up on my mood multiple times a day. Features like seeing emails or texts from the phone when Bluetooth is engaged are nice as well.
I replaced my Sense with a Sense 2. In terms of notification on the device, you only get notification when you have the wifi of your phone turned on. If you don't keep it on constantly, then the battery lasts significantly longer than just a day.
I recently experienced the same with the Sense 2 ... continously going through the diamond/red X loop and won't turn on. It's now in a drawer, and I switched to the Samsung Galaxy Ultra.
My Charge 5 died recently & I bought a Sense 2 which has a lot of bells & whistles. Suggest buying her a Charge 6.
I have the more expensive one (I forget the model; sense 2?) and I guess I've been lucky it's lasted at least 2 years now. But I also don't shower with it or get it wet nor banged it hard on anything so I dunno. (Hopefully I didn't jinx it! 😳)
I’ve got a Sense 2 and it’s been fine in the water for aqua aerobics for the last year
