"16 days battery life on my fenix. ... The other aspect I really appreciate about my fenix is the battery life. 16 days or so. With everything I have to change these days (laptops, mice, keyboards, headphones, watches, phones), I appreciate not having to worry about it too often."

"Battery life is super important to me. I do ultras so having 24+ hours of gps is necessary."

"My 43mm Fenix with Dual gps, Garmin live track, always on screen still had juice for up to 20-25 hours of running."

"The flashlight is the best ever on a watch."

"helps me find stuff in the dark (exclusive to models with the flashlight)"

"Flashlight on my Fenix is worth A LOT of money to me. ... Having had it, I could not go back. ... I would happily pay 200 extra for it I use it so much. ... Having a flashlight on your wrist is incredibly handy."

"During runs and activities, the Garmin watch cannot maintain bluetooth connection to the Airpods, and music starts cutting out. It gets resolved temporarily by pressing play/pause in the Spotify app on the watch, but the connection will cut out again within 5 minutes. I've searched Garmin forums and found that this issue has persisted since the Fenix 6, with no indication that Garmin plans to fix it. The #1 feature I bought a fitness watch for is essentially broken."

"I also missed cellular and having the full catalog of Spotify music to stream through cellular or live radio to stream from. Also I like the ability to remain contactable without a phone."

"when i am listening music from my phone: no interface for watch, no next / skip, or the most important the wheel for volume 😂"

"and I'm not getting as good of readings coming out of the optical HRM, leading to a lot of the stuff being off like sleep, stress, HRV, body battery. ... I don't know if the latest HRM hardware is a regression for me or if the chonkiness of the watch on my (tiny) wrist leads to light pollution or what."

"the garmin has inferior HR tracking and the sleep tracking is terrible ... if garmin can’t track optical hr or sleep properly, guess what- all those metrics it spits out are junk lol. ... the optical sensor on the garmin is garbage- again confirmed ... garmin and Samsung garbage for metrics, sensors and sleep tracking ... inaccurate sensors of garmin"

"the heart rate for CrossFit and weight lifting was wildly inaccurate compared to other devices."

Punto. Non ho mai preso in considerazione il Fenix 7 pro, perchè risulta comunque meno tecnologico. Buona vita a tutti!

I would buy the 43 version of the F8. It’s the best of both worlds. I was scared it would look small, even bought the 47 too and returned it. Battery life is 10 days and has same features as the entire lineup. Looks great as a daily wearer

I have very small wrists and the 43 has been great. The lugs need to be narrower than your wrist to keep the watch sitting flat. The thickness has never bothered me, and the HR sensor sits down into your wrist a little so doesn't stick up as far as it is thick anyway. No experience with the 47 though, I tried it on once in the store, laughed at how it looked, and went with the 43. 43 epix/fenix with the velcro strap is great for daily wear.

Fenix 8 AMOLED 43mm. I am consistently recharging every 7 days. I'll let it get to 10% or so and then charge to 80-85% every 7 days. I use it for around 4 hours tracking strength training, 2-3 hours tracking climbing, and then various 1-2 mile walks throughout the week.

Garmin Fenix 8 AMOLED Sapphire. Goes with everything. Even with your protein shake.

Absolutely! I have a Fenix 8 and it's even more motivating having a proper sports watch rather than a smart watch. Plus, battery life is up to 16 days!

I have owned Fenix 3, 6X, 7X SS, 8 Amoled Sapphire and never had any issues. Always watch on arm at all activities

I love my GF8 (non-solar) and it acquires GPS before I’ve had time to start my run and. There is a fast and slow mode, of course with its pros and cons. It’s a great sports watch and I’ve never felt it’s unreliable.

Recently purchased a Fenix 8 …never again. What a pain in the butt, click-heavy, non-intuitive piece. I hated that watch so much, but it looked cool as heck! Can’t wait to get my black AWU3!

So I’m not a runner and you may find what you want using Strava or something, but if your main goal of your watch is to track your running, the Garmin might be your answer. If you want literally ANYTHING else from your watch, go with the AWU. I had a Fenix 8 AMOLED recently for a couple weeks. HATED it! Returned it as soon as I found out AWU3 was being released. The Garmin was click-heavy, no nonintuitive, and just a pain to use. I spent so much time googling how to do things on that damn watch. I hated it so much. I do like the look of the Garmin watch tho and it was a really nice watch. I just couldn’t stand using it and it just wasn’t intuitive enough for me. And the lack of a decent AI-driven voice control feature was enough to have me shaking my head. If there was a really good AI-driven voice control feature on the Fenix 8 that assisted with watch functions and settings as well as general info (like any AI system) it possibly would have been worth keeping…idk. I really don’t know why anyone but really serious Olympic training athletes would need a Garmin watch and all that data. I feel like the Apple Watch would provide PLENTY of data for the normal person. If you have an iPhone or you’re already in the Apple ecosystem, I would only recommend the Apple Watch. I preordered the AWU3 and can’t wait for it to arrive.

Idk if this helps, but I recently returned a new Fenix 8 (not solar). It was my first Garmin and I HATED IT! I loved the design. I loved the look. I loved the few functions I actually used it for. BUT I could not stand using it! I had it for like a week and a half and I swear I spent a quarter of my days googling how to do things on that f’n thing. Nothing was intuitive and the few things I really wanted it for either weren’t supported or super complicated to figure out. I really hated that watch and immediately returned it when I found out the AWU3 was being released soon. The Garmin was click-heavy, overkill, non-sense IMO. The AW does everything I need and actually ties into my daily life way more than that Garmin ever could. That’s my experience. But I do like the look of the Garmin more than the AW. Can’t wait to get my new black AWU3!

If you happen to have tiny wrists (like me) and you want the maps (as an avid hiker: you do) your only option is the Fenix S (42 or 43 mm). 7 or 7pro are probably affordable by now. Also, bought it for hiking, but Garmin pay is the most used option for me - works so much better than paying with your phone!

lets say is garmin fenix 8 titianium is same price as race 2, which one will you choose? in aus, race 2 is around 1000, fenix 8 after discount is aorund 1100, the only thing i wanna go with fenix 8 is it has ECG, and that makes me feel it combines both sports watch and smart watch.

UMMM, may be thats you, i usually have irregular rythem from time to time, so i use this feature at least 2 times a week, and ECG on apple watch is really accurate compare the one i did in hospital, but the battery sucks. so i need 2 watch combines in to one , smart and sport. will recieve fenix 8 next monday and hopefully the ECG is as accurate as apple watch. my point is if the price is same, whats the reason to choose Race 2 over fenix 8, beside this ECG .
