I have a samsung Galaxy Fit 3. Works just fine and it's like 50€
I'll second the fit 3. costs $50 but has most of the galaxy watch sensors, plus the battery lasts 5x longer
You can't go wrong with the Galaxy Fit 3. It's cheap, reliable, it has amazing battery life. I've bought it as a temporary fix when my Watch 4 went down and didn't saw any major reason not to keep it as my swimming watch, even tho I eventually got the Watch 7 for my daily use. Fit 3 is the one dealing with chlorine nowadays, and it's doing great.
If your cell phone is Galaxy it is highly recommended but if it is from another brand it does not work very well, I had it but it was not compatible with my cell phone
I wear the Fit3 every day and rarely take it off unless I'm weighing myself or showering. I find sleep tracking is semi-decent, but sleep time seems to be based off when you're moving/not moving. Seems to pick up when I'm tossing and turning in the night pretty well, as well as when my partner wakes me getting up for work lmao
I am currently using Galaxy Fit 3. It doesn't has GPS and uses my phone's GPS. I need to carry my phone but that is not a problem for me. The only thing I feel missing is the current pace. It keeps changing 3-4 times per second and that too largely. So, I started looking for a GPS watch. I started with BIP6, then TRex3 and now I am looking at FR165 or Pace3, but they also feel like compromises. I am using a 30k phone and spending the same amount for a watch is what I am a little hesitant about.
Is there an option to automate intervals. Like after set time or distance, the watch pauses or starts a new lap with the rest in between I scheduled there in. My current watch which uses my phone's GPS is showing here that I was running on the top of buildings. This sometimes messes my split timing too. Is your watch better in this regard? https://preview.redd.it/zqisp7uv93yf1.png?width=1220&format=png&auto=webp&s=9307bd031bc9f5696607a8ce7a8a411d492f8fdc
I wear a Samsung galaxy fit 3 cause I picked it up new for under $70 delivered. It's small making it easier for your hands to get in boards/tight spaces and has decent battery life. It's my first 'smart' watch and I'm pretty happy with it.
Can confirm galaxy fit 3 works perfectly.
The Galaxy Fit 3 band is a better alternative to the poverty spec Chinese low end trackers
I swapped from an Chinese tracker because the old one kept spamming me ads and messages in the app Unfortunately the fit 3 does the same with "helpful hints" even with every option turned off It also doesn't update step count in real-time per second Otherwise its fine, if you have a galaxy phone its a great minimalist option
Samsung fit 3 because it works with my Galaxy ecosystem
I use a very basic "smart watch", the Samsung Fit3, mostly for step tracking but it can do what you're looking for re: control music/audiobooks (although it needs to be in Bluetooth range of your phone) and set timers.
