I’ve got one. I like it for slicing, grating, chopping, making dough, peanut butter, hummus, etc. But for dicing? I personally don’t like it. Way, way too hard to clean the dicing attachment compared to the ease of it. If you need to dice…. Idk. 10 pounds of something in one go, it would be nice, but otherwise I’d rather dice by hand. However, you may have different values on the cleaning vs. hand dicing situation. The thing is an absolute beast and I have no complaints about it. I’d buy it again if I had to in a heartbeat and even if you don’t end up using it for dicing, it still would likely get plenty of use.

After looking at cuisinart and vitamix, I personally have decided to get me a breville paradice 16.

I disagree. My breville does a fabulous job of veggie prep including dice. 10000% worth the splurge.

Yes I have the 16-cup paradice. It rules. It dices, chops, shreds, slices, and does so much more. The slicer is adjustable. It is a game changer. I use it all the time! Makes quick work of complex soups. Then just a quick rinse of the parts, put on drying rack, and done.

You won’t regret the Breville. I have the 16C paradice and adore it. You need tons of space for the 2 “armories” of attachments. I have a designated closet shelf.

After weeks of research reading and watching YouTube videos, I finally purchased the Breville Paradice 16. It’s possible to get the version without the dicer, but I got it anyways. This processor has been the best food processor I’ve ever had. It is so powerful and quiet. I expect to own it for decades. It’s very high quality. https://www.breville.com/en-us/product/bfp838

Ouch! I think I paid about half that price in the US. If I recall, I might have used a discount coupon and got it at the right time. If you can get it at the right price, I’d say it’s a good BIFL investment. It’s a pleasure to use and easy to clean.

I have the Paradice 16 with the dicing kit attachment. I disagree with a comment above cleaning the dicing kit. I put it in the dishwasher and comes out clean and looks new. The quad chopper blade is amazing. You only need to pulse for couple of seconds at a time and it will chop things very nicely. I find the 8mm dicer works best for onions and 12mm for tomatoes and cucumber. Best to remove the stem from tomatoes. I have not used the 16mm dicer yet, but I can only see it being used for fruit salads. I have a professional KitchenAid so do all my dough prep kneading etc on that but I have tried hummus following the Breville recipe on the Paradice and it came out very nice.

Magimix or Breville make the best 14-16 cup models money can buy imo. You hear the Cuisinart Custom 14 recommended a ton as well and, while its still good, it’s a marked step down in just about every way, but it does tend to be a lot cheaper, so that’s a good option for bang for your buck.

The oft-recommended Cuisinarts are fine and pretty good value for money, but if you have the budget for it, a Magimix or Breville is *way* better.

Get a Magimix. Or a Sage (aka Breville). Both are huge upgrades from the Cuisinart tbh

Breville’s big food processor has been a long time winner for me. It’s a beast. So powerful, in fact, that it’s easy to overprocess, so you just have to be aware.

I have the largest Breville food processor and it came with a slicing disk that lets me set the thickness. When I use it to make Coleslaw it can hold the entire cabbage so it’s much easier and quicker to use. It’s also super powerful and fast. Big improvement over the smaller cuisinart I had before.

yeah unfortunately all the bigger ones use plastic, probably as a cost saving thing too. The good thing is at least its a lot lighter. i got a bigger breville one and a medium sized kenwood one and i kind of don't like the plastic.
