I have a Cuisinart. It's buried and I can't exactly recall the specs, but it's a 9 cup one. I don't often use it but when I need it, it's a lifesaver! IIRC, it cost me less than $150
My 2008 Cuisinart is going strong, and I am rough on things. Part of the lid broke off just a couple weeks ago, and to my chagrin, I found a replacement part for $18. Its a 9-cup and I want to replace it with a 14-cup Custom, but this thing just won’t die!
We got a Cuisinart 9-cup food processor as an engagement present from my wife's aunt almost 20 years ago. It *just now* broke due to dropping it - a plastic piece broke, and I could not find a replacement part (I did not look too hard, as I wanted the 14-cup). Otherwise, it could probably go another 20. It was a beast. Every time I used it, I was reminded of the giver for a second, and was grateful for such a great gift (she passed not long after our wedding). I have given a couple as gifts for that reason, so that is my recommendation.
A robo coup lol. Best investment I've made but i work in hospitality so it pays for itself. Also easy to clean and can take an absolute thrashing. FYI, This is the company that made the original Cuisinart food processors back in the day.
I have a 1978 Cuisinart that kicks serious ass.
Don't really use blenders much. I do have a 1200 watt Ninja that I got @ Costco that works pretty well, when I need a blender I bought an All-Clad cordless immersion blender a couple of years ago because it was pretty cheap (\~$50). I got it because I have no power outlets near my stove, so a cordless one was in order As far as food processors go, get a classic style Cuisinart. Accept no substitutes. I bought one about 30 years ago, and I still have it. I've purchased others, and actually got my holy grail, which was a DLC-X, which is the 20-cup one that was actually rated for residential as well as commercial use. It is an absolute beast. They still make a 14-cup one w/ a stainless skin, in the style from the 80's. It's \~$200, which is what I paid for my 11-cup one 30 years ago!
