"Literally couldn't think of any pair of IEMs + dongle dacs could sound as analytical as the C3P+ for around $70. ... detail is just sooo much better. The C3P+ is just leagues ahead the I5 in terms of detail and resolution. ... the C3P+ is actually the closest sounding one to really expensive iems or headphone that I have."

"delivers the full package here. ... betting the house regarding this on this pair was fully worth it. ... It matches up (I would not say surpasses) a lot of wired in-ear monitors within this price bracket and slightly above. ... The prowess it shows in keeping the instrument separation clean is something that I really, really appreciate myself for buying this pair, not to mention the rumbly yet controlled, precise lows keep on coming and the highs soar without spice, without hurting your ears."

"Nothing short of a home run, here- the Ear once again brings me all; the way the bass hits on this track is very impactful but not bloated, punchy but not overpowering, and Kendrick’s powerful vocals shine through bright, while I enjoyed the way the Sax keeps on coming in at the right junctions of the song, and the way the cymbals play out on this track is probably one of the best I have heard through amongst all the gear that I have owned and currently own- the first in a wireless, and one of the few if I consider all. ... the timbre sounds natural and uncoloured"

"I even washed them accidentally and still worked perfectly fine afterwards."

"Been using them for about four years working out in my gym, and cycling daily (45+ minutes on a bicycle outdoors)."

"They last absolutely forever (I know 1980s models still in daily use)"

"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."

"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."

"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"Yes one charger, you can use the steam deck charger. I’ve tried it and it works and no the deck does not lose charge over time. It powers both over long periods and intensive games."

"What I love the most is that I do not need an external power source."

"That Arzopa monitor you have in your thumbnail is one of the only portable monitors which is suitable for passthrough charging and explicitly states it as such - confirmed myself with a wattage reading USB C cable."

"I lost 300$ on a50 gen 5,has worked maybe 10 hours totally ... and dock station froze and stayed in xbox mode after a regular software update... ... tried everything i could, believe me..."

"if you also regularly use Bluetooth on the go, then Astro isn for you as the Bluetooth is on the dock and not on the headset ... Astro is definitely not worth the price when the Bluetooth is on the dock. That was a stupid thing to do, because anyone who buys a headset with Bluetooth would want to use the headset away from their set up and Bluetooth on the go"

"The prices for wireless speakers/subwoofer that sync with a soundbar are outragious. ... 2000€ or more for a sonos arc ultra + sub + 2 rear speakers."

"EDX Pro has ear piercing treble."

"it's noisy as hell"

"at low volume they sound ok, but you put some volume there and they sound awfull to say the least."

I have had my A40’s for a long time too, only 2 headphones I won’t get rid of are my HD560S and A40’s, the A40 with Mixamp Dolby Processing is actually really good too. For stereo though the HD560S is actually insanely good.

Astro a40 with mixamp, I have not tried the a50s yet. Best headset I have found.

Yeah, the quality of the sound is just bounds ahead of other headsets and has been for years.

I personally use Astro a40s and they work great. A lot of people recommend the steelseries arctis nova 7, so if I were you, I'd go for those if you're able to afford them.

Wired and no batteries, one that has no app to bug out. No batteries to die in 5 years. No firmware to bork and die. Oh the ancients made those it's a lost art.. Aliens showed us and we forgot. I got my MK1 Mixamp and A40s back when they were current, and with care and (replacing the stock mic entirely) are still going strong, and the surround function still just works. No firmware, no app. Just usb SPDIF and good times.

Big on the Astros. Have the A40s and they’ve been phenomenal going on 6 years.

r/ZReviewsI get accused of wallhacks in FPS games. No, its because I can hear your position with pinpoint accuracy before you can hear me.

You have a solid setup there, which makes my point even more frustrating. You don't have to sell the farm to achieve decent audio performance. Gaming headsets are expensive and, in my experience, perform worse. My guess is that you knew what you wanted to spend and did a decent amount of homework putting something together. I have Astro A40s, steelseries, hd800s, DT1990, Hifiman XS, HE 4XX, HE 400 I, HD 650, HD58X, K702, K7XX and lots more midrange stuff. The A40s and steelseries always perform the worst (imaging) compared to everything else that I own other than the HE 4xx and 400i.

astro a40 all the way. years ago i used to run through headsets like they were nothing. got a $300 sennheiser one and despite having small ears the inner earpad was still hitting them. the a40 with the mixamp is hard to beat. have had it for over 4 years now and would never look to swap it
