I've had my a40s (wired) for 8 years now and they refuse to break. Incredibly impressed by them and will by the newest ones once they do eventually break
r/computers • Which wireless gaming headset should I get ->My Astro (now by Logitech) headphones work great. No driver download needed with usb and surround. Remember that 3.5mm means in-game software is needed for surround and is worse than usb sound.
r/linux_gaming • Advice for Linux gaming headphones ->I've been kicking around the idea of getting some Sennheiser's for years. Problem is my 2016 Astro A40s won't die.
r/ArcRaiders • The sound when using a good set of headphones with directional sound is, dare I say, the best sound in any game ever made. ->Astro a40 with mixamp, I have not tried the a50s yet. Best headset I have found.
r/ArcRaiders • Headphones Raccomendation for the best Arc Raiders experience ->Yeah, the quality of the sound is just bounds ahead of other headsets and has been for years.
r/ArcRaiders • Headphones Raccomendation for the best Arc Raiders experience ->My top two for first person shooters are Astro a40s and now beyerdynamics, always wired usb with mic amp.
r/HeadphoneAdvice • Any “Gaming” headphones that are actually good nowadays? ->I personally use Astro a40s and they work great. A lot of people recommend the steelseries arctis nova 7, so if I were you, I'd go for those if you're able to afford them.
r/Warzone • is the official xbox gaming headset a good headset for Warzone? ->Wired and no batteries, one that has no app to bug out. No batteries to die in 5 years. No firmware to bork and die. Oh the ancients made those it's a lost art.. Aliens showed us and we forgot. I got my MK1 Mixamp and A40s back when they were current, and with care and (replacing the stock mic entirely) are still going strong, and the surround function still just works. No firmware, no app. Just usb SPDIF and good times.
r/AstroGaming • Headset recommendations please! ->Big on the Astros. Have the A40s and they’ve been phenomenal going on 6 years.
r/Gaming_Headsets • [LFH] Looking for a good headset that ISN'T a gaming headset ->You have a solid setup there, which makes my point even more frustrating. You don't have to sell the farm to achieve decent audio performance. Gaming headsets are expensive and, in my experience, perform worse. My guess is that you knew what you wanted to spend and did a decent amount of homework putting something together. I have Astro A40s, steelseries, hd800s, DT1990, Hifiman XS, HE 4XX, HE 400 I, HD 650, HD58X, K702, K7XX and lots more midrange stuff. The A40s and steelseries always perform the worst (imaging) compared to everything else that I own other than the HE 4xx and 400i.
r/ZReviews • I get accused of wallhacks in FPS games. No, its because I can hear your position with pinpoint accuracy before you can hear me. ->astro a40 all the way. years ago i used to run through headsets like they were nothing. got a $300 sennheiser one and despite having small ears the inner earpad was still hitting them. the a40 with the mixamp is hard to beat. have had it for over 4 years now and would never look to swap it
r/ApexConsole • Headset recommendations ->can still find them on Amazon. the one i have been using for over 5 years is on there for $90 USD
r/ApexConsole • Headset recommendations ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
