"I even washed them accidentally and still worked perfectly fine afterwards."
"Been using them for about four years working out in my gym, and cycling daily (45+ minutes on a bicycle outdoors)."
"They last absolutely forever (I know 1980s models still in daily use)"

"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."
"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."
"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"The app lets you connect to two devices at once for seemless swirching and so far definitely works better than the airpods. ... I have iphone, ipad, macbook, and apple watch, plus use PC at home and work and no issues with any of my devices."
"especially since I can use the single pair on both iPhone and android simultaneously. ... after the initial connect, all you have to do is pop the ear buds in and it’s connected to both phones"
"Seamless switching between mac and Android."

"Noble fokus rex5 best sounding change my mind. ... Five drivers per ear bud game changing for sure ... Yes, you're so right. They are by far number one. ... There may be a few airbuds that get better battery a little bit, better ANC but right now my two cents worth, there's nothing on a planet that sounds better than these. ... I have all the heavy hitters. The techniques 80/100 Sony 4 and 5 sennheisers 3 and 4 and the Devialet gemini II. ... Ronontech on YouTube did a review on the Aviot a few days ago. I belive he liked the Nobels better. ... Also on YouTube, check out Flossie Carter review on the Nobles, he went absolutely nuts. Best sounding wireless earbuds he has ever heard."
"As for gaming I'd probably rank them 1. A50 ... As for music I'd rank them 1. A50 ... And for movies I would rank them 1. A50."
"these fifth generation A50s sound better than anything I’ve ever used. ... New DAC, new Graphene drivers, really nice sounding."

"have easily the best mic of any gaming headset (I recorded a sung vocal track into Pro Tools with it yesterday)"
"good mic quality"
"the Cloud II's microphone sounded the best, the clearer on every single audio device I've tested. I'm still recovering from that one to be honest. It was a surprise that went against everything I've seen on reviews so I'd like to really underline that one because most people thing the Cloud II microphone isn't good. Well, these are the HP version so maybe the reworked HP version actually improved the microphone. ... It's one of the best microphones i've used. Your voice sounds crisp and clear even if you're speaking lower."

"My right earbud stopped charging past 85% after about the 4th month of owning them. ... My right earbud, at the time that I'm writing this, charges only till 75% now, and die much quicker than the left one. ... They still do their job, and last *okay* amount of time (2.5 hrs). ... I've contacted Nothing for a replacement earbud, even said I'll pay, but nope. You need to buy a whole new one. ... I'm hesitant about buying them again because the battery of one earbud fucking up seems to be not just a one-off thing. ... Some come with faulty right earbuds that stop charging past a certain point. ... It's still dogshit, lasts barely an hr like yours. ... Nope. I don't even remember where I got it from bc it was online so thats fucked me over."
"Yea mine goes to 65 to 5 in less than 45mins now. The right bud! ... The whole series of CMF buds pro 2 has got this worst Battery! ... Best TWS with Worst Battery BackUp ever!"
"The battery life of the Nothing buds themselves is poor compared to the Senns. ... The left earbud charges only up to 85% and will drain down to 15% with just 2 hour use. ... I've already ran out of battery several times for the left bud and had to put them back in the case to recharge each time which is a bummer. ... I've searched online and found this was a common problem with the left earbud."

"I lost 300$ on a50 gen 5,has worked maybe 10 hours totally ... and dock station froze and stayed in xbox mode after a regular software update... ... tried everything i could, believe me..."
"if you also regularly use Bluetooth on the go, then Astro isn for you as the Bluetooth is on the dock and not on the headset ... Astro is definitely not worth the price when the Bluetooth is on the dock. That was a stupid thing to do, because anyone who buys a headset with Bluetooth would want to use the headset away from their set up and Bluetooth on the go"
"The prices for wireless speakers/subwoofer that sync with a soundbar are outragious. ... 2000€ or more for a sonos arc ultra + sub + 2 rear speakers."

"The headset would randomly restart, disconnect from the base and cause a loud distrotion sound to come across until I BOTH powered down the headset AND disconnected the USB cable from the back of the hub. Pair that with the headset just randomly disconnecting at times (typically when critical to HAVE it) and you have a recipe for disaster."

I recently bought the A50 gen 5 expecting to be the same as my Astro A40 but wireless and I was so disappointed. First, the A40s are open back, and the 50s are closed (semi open) so you’ll immediately hear a different sound overall. Very closed in comparison. Second, the A50s have no way of wiring em, so you’ll only be able to use Dolby atmos which in my opinion is garbage compared to the Dolby sound that’s integrated in the mix amp. I returned the A50s and had to go deep into the rabbit hole of audiophiles to really understand what I wanted. I ended up buying the Hifiman edition XS for that open sound and the antlion usb 2 mic. I use the same mix amp pro with the same Dolby sound because I can’t stand the Dolby atmos. So my overall tip is don’t expect the a50s to sound like the a40s. At least buy an open back for a similar sound.
Hi, The A30 Wireless Headset and A50 GEN5 and X use LIGHTSPEED wireless technology. I'll be honest, you'll need to be very good to tell any difference between them and the A40 TR Headset as the latency really isn't that high even on wireless. I used to have my A40 TR Headset as my daily driver but have since switched over to the A50 X for my Xbox and my PC and it matches up perfect to everything on my display from gaming to YouTube, etc. For battery life, the A50 X and GEN5 offer 24 hours which I think it perfect for a single session and you can dock it in between to top it up. You can also use it with a charging cable to play and charge at the same time. Obviously it's all down to preference, but wireless headsets have come a long way.
First of all, thank you for posting here and for being willing to help and provide answers. My journey has unfortunately been quite challenging, and any support you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I used the Nova Pro Wireless for two full years. I disliked the microphone but loved the battery system (similar to what I have with my Shark vacuum and Ring doorbell, haha), as well as the transparency mode(used to have it on like almost maxed out), since I need to be aware of my surroundings-taking care of mom. I also appreciated the ability to connect via both Bluetooth and the dongle simultaneously. Then, I bought a used Maxwell because it was very affordable and used it for about nine months. However, the microphone was almost as poor as the Nova's, and it didn’t support simultaneous Bluetooth connections. Half a year ago, I purchased the A50 Gen 5, but I still miss the Nova Pro Wireless because of its excellent battery system, transparency mode, and the ability to mix Bluetooth and dongle connections at the same time. Currently, I’ve returned to using the Maxwell due to the capability to have the earcup's microphones to act as a transparency mode with sidetone functionality on a very sensitive level (currently on 80%) I even tried the SteelSeries Gamebuds, which also feature transparency mode and sidetone, but unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with them as they feel unbaked I would be super grateful if you could do a side-by-side transparency-mode test of the new Elite headset versus the Maxwell on 70-80% sidetone to see which one is 'better' and louder. I find the Audeze Maxwell to be quite little too sensitive, but I like how loud it does it so it can get just as loud as watching a youtube vid in normal volume. EDIT: I HAVE THE SAME ANKER CUBE AND ITS LOVELY Thanks and god bless
Get the Astro A50 Gen 5. Easily the best gaming headset available right now. Amazing sound, with great bass (which is crucial for watching films), very comfortable, and the best headset microphone in the market right now.
Astro A50 Gen 5. Costs exactly $300USD, has a fantastic microphone, simultaneous 2.4ghz wireless and Bluetooth wireless connections, and fully compatible with all gaming platforms. https://www.logitechg.com/en-us/products/gaming-audio/a50-gen-5.939-002217.html
Brother just save some money you and walk into a Best Buy and cop them brand new. They are worth it
Just get the A50 Gen 5 there is a A50X version but the gen 5 is the same
Most headsets have a weakness or two, for the maxwells it’s the weight and fragility and for the Astros it’s the Bluetooth and the ear cup size and that they leak sound a bit. Overall the two are pretty well matched with Astros having a nod towards the comfort and Maxwells a nod towards overall sound quality. I’ve owned both and really liked both, but for different reasons!
The HD6XX requires a decent amplifier, it’s also not intended for or great at positional accuracy (footstep tracking). It’s great at many things but definitely not even in my top 10 if competitive gaming is my use case. I’d recommend you try the Audeze Maxwell, Astro A50 or the Arctis Nova Pro if competitive gaming is the priority.
A50 Gen 5s are great. If you want something more premium (or if he uses Xbox, Playstation, and PC), you could opt for the A50x
Interesting. I’ve had a good experience. Sound quality is great. Mic quality is great. I like the instant switching between devices. All the profiles you can make for different use cases is great. They’re also extremely comfortable on my head and ears. Yes the Bluetooth is spotty sometimes but it isn’t a dealbreaker for me. I guess I’m not the target market for that? The only time I really use it is for calls while I game and that’s been fine. But I game on my desk and it’s not far from phone so it isn’t too much of an issue. I also have a pair of AirPods if I want to listen to music anywhere other than my desk.
I just picked up an Astro A50 Gen 5 and it's been amazing so far. It was a definitely controversial as people either love them or hate them. I was also looking at the Steelseries, but the Astros were on sale for <$230.
