Corsair - HS70 Pro Wireless (Carbon)

Honestly I've worked in audio engineering for like 15 years and have a pretty well tuned ear and I tried all the boutique options like Audeze, steel series, etc and also own beyer dynamic headphones (imo they lack low end) and I find the Corsair Hs70 Pro wireless usb headphones to be the best and have good highs and lows. Idk something about them is great. Either that or my AirPods Max but it's such a nightmare to setup the cable. The AirPods were better than the hs70 pro but the steel series and audeze all had flaws. Steel series the high end was filtered/lopassed and not clean and the Audeze were insanely narrow stereo image. I heard people walking next to me infront of me

I went from logitech G633 to corsair HS70 pro to steelseries arctis 9 and then to meze 99 neos, I have the exact same experience as you, except I disagree on the argument that gaming headsets are for people on a budget gaming headsets are only OK for people who are DEAD SET on having low latency wireless at any and all costs, you can get regular headphones at pretty much any price point that will smash gaming headsets out of the water in both build and sound quality (the AKG K72 is absolutely amazing at like 60 bucks, I'd get those above any gaming headset I've ever owned)

I personally had the Corsair HS70, I went looking for a headset in the 100$ range because I was a dumbass and tried to replace the HS70 battery snapping one of the wires and just failing overall. I got the SteelSeries arctic 5 and just felt super let down for the price. They sounded worse, build quality just felt cheap. For 150 I was kinda like yea no thanks. I was going to entertain the one reviewed above but that’s $300!!!! I ended up choosing the hyper x cloud alpha purely for the runtime. I was tired of recharging my headset and loved the idea of such a long runtime without a charge. Maybe it’s just a phycological effect but I feel like they even sound better than the steelseries given they have more chamber space. Idk just my personal experience I got a cloud alpha for 100$ referb on amazon

I have a corsair HS70 headset ive been using for the last 7 years and it sounds great. Good build quality for roughly $75, and it sounds better than the turtle beach ones I bought a couple years ago

Honestly? I've been running a couple different flavors of the Corsair wireless headsets for ages. Void Pro Wireless (kids broke it after like 3 years) Void RGB Elite wireless (still in use after 5 years, daily driver on the work pc) and an HS70 wireless as my current gaming pair (3 years old). All were ~$100 each. Battery life is great when new. My hs70 pair still has a lot of battery life, probably at least 10.hrs. The 5 year old RGB Elite daily drivers last like 4 to 6 hrs now but since I'm sitting right there it's NBD to just plug in generally. Sound quality is perfectly fine, mic quality is surprisingly good for gamer headsets. They'll function just fine without software (works great in Linux!), and ICue is.... Fine. Required on Windows if you want to control the RGB (if equipped). I'd say I have a pretty "average" head, and I wear the Voids for around 6 hrs every day no problem. I've done similar stints with the HS70 with no comfort complaints. The only issue I've run into is after a couple of years the fake leather flakes off. It leaves something more like soft terry cloth on the ear cups and headband. Still perfectly functional, but while it's flaking you'll get black "dandruff" 😅

Available? Idk. But I have used Corsair void and virtuoso and both are amazing. The void was an accidental purchase, I hated the idea of wireless, but then i fell in love with it. It was really comfortable and the battery lasted all day and the sound was good. I upgraded to the virtuoso and it’s better sound and has a good mic but it’s not as comfortable.

I’d stay away from anything corsair. Half a year ago I got rid of everything icue related, worst software on the planet next to synapse.

Don’t get me wrong I don’t mean that they sound bad I had the OG void wireless and those sounded great, but man that software would sometimes sporadically just shut itself off killing everything in the process rendering mouse+keeb+headset unusable until either reboot or force starting icue manually. (Kept doing so even after fresh windows install on new m.2) so yeah it had good sound and the mmo mouse felt great as well but it is not very ideal for mmos when your shit dies mid raid 😂 I actually went for M50x and a pair of DT990 that I kinda use one for desktop and one for laptop after this and mouse swapped for G600 for mmo and main use R1 Pro and a F75+RK65 board that I swap between. Haven’t been happier, I actually just used g hub to get the settings right and have not touched it since and it works flawlessly.

The battery last a long while. I had my headset for about two years before I swapped them out for another but I didn't notice much degradation in that time. They are really comfy and the one I had was mostly cloth rather than the fake leather, which was nice. The leatherette stuff always ends up peeling off in bits after a year or two. Audio was solid and I actually really liked the mic too. I intended to buy the same one again but they were out and I got a Logitech I never liked as much. Edit: also had the virtuoso. Audio was excellent and they were comfy but the sidetone was quieter than the Void for some reason.

I bought a set of wireless Corsair voids in like 2016, 2017 and they've been absolutely perfect. 50 bucks and nearly 10 years of service is fine by me. Replaced them with another set because they were destroyed along with my house in hurricane Debbie.

hyperx cloud ii, right now i have one of the corsair hs headphones. dont remember which but id say hearing is good
