"audio quality is worse than with the mmx"
"But I think it's audio isn't great. Like good, but not great as you could get."

"if you don't have audio playing for a while (say, 10-15 minutes plus) it probably won't resume any playback until you either turn it off and on, or change output device and change it back. ... Twice I've had that issue, HyperX technical team has been able to reproduce it, and quite a few people on /r/HyperX complaining about it"
I strongly advise against getting the Alphas, less comfortable than the Cloud 3s and I've had nothing but issues with crosstalk/sound bleeding, was an absolute nightmare and I've since then switched to Cloud 3 and they're amazing. Sure they have a slightly flatter sound plane than the Alphas but EQ makes up for it and I barely hear the difference now, mic is also way better.
r/HyperX • Cloud 3s or Cloud Alphas?? ->Dual mode connectivity is fairly common for higher-end gaming headsets, but not too much on budget models. The new HyperX [Cloud III S Wireless](https://hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-iii-s-wireless-gaming-headset) is pretty good (definitely better than a Cloud Flight), but it's a bit past your budget. There's also the SteelSeries [Arctis Nova 5 Wireless](https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-5) (as well as the better [Arctis Nova Pro Wireless](https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-nova-pro), but that's way past your budget).
r/HeadphoneAdvice • I need advice for good wireless usb+bluetooth gaming headphones ->I got this white version last week myself. Great headset wit great audio.
r/HyperX • HyperX Cloud Wireless III S: What the Cloud III Should Have Been ->Have both the cloud 3s and alpha 2. 3s is my vote by a long shot between the two. To me it just sounds better. If the alphas sound is similar to the alpha 2 then the 3s is brighter, and more exciting. Alpha 2 just seems muddy.
r/HyperX • Cloud 3s or Cloud Alphas?? ->I already bought these III S but I see the Scape scored well on your table. What’s the target price you would consider it? Also how’s the Scape clamp? I prefer low clamp. Also I just like white headphones and wireless.
r/bapcsalescanada • [Headset] HyperX Cloud III S ($230 - $60 = $170) [Amazon] ->Damn, the white one is sold out everywhere. Good to hear this version is tuned better, that seems promising. I tried on the Maxwell and it's too heavy for me. I have neck and jaw pain so while the sound I'm sure is superior, I couldn't put up with it.
r/bapcsalescanada • [Headset] HyperX Cloud III S ($230 - $60 = $170) [Amazon] ->Those Cloud 3s came with a tuned DAC as part of the USB cable. These Epos cans do not.
r/buildapcsales • [Headphones] Drop + EPOS H3X Gaming Headset | Audiophile | Headphones | Closed Back Headphones | Drop $20 + tax + Shipping -># But from [HyperX ](https://ca.hyperx.com/products/hyperx-cloud-iii-s-wireless-gaming-headset)directly. $136 w/ coupon BLACKFRIDAY20 But do note, not as easier for returns and its HP so worse customer service. The day has finally come. Gaming companies have learned how to tune closed back headsets. An it's wireless(which make tuning easier). The wired III model and the non S wireless model both kind of suck. But this one is legit good. An not just gaming headset good, just full stop closed back good. Its better than most wired closed backs. I cant think of a better closed back gaming headset under $350CAD. The only one i like better around this price is the Fractal Scape. If they could fix the bugs in the Alpha 2 it could also be good. **Edit: The Alpha Wired and the Cloud III S Wireless are the only 2 HyperX headsets I'd recommend.** |*Product Name*|*Tone*|*Tech*| |:-|:-|:-| |HyperX Cloud 2|C|C-| |HyperX Cloud 3|C|C| |HyperX Cloud 3 Wireless|C+|C| |HyperX Cloud 3 S|B+|C+| |HyperX Alpha|B-|C| |HyperX Alpha S|C-|C| |Fractal Scape|B|B-| |Audeze Maxwell|A+|A-| |Astro A50 Gen 5|B+|B-| |Razer Blackshark V3 Pro|C+|C+| ||||
r/bapcsalescanada • [Headset] HyperX Cloud III S ($230 - $60 = $170) [Amazon] ->Closed VS open is very different. Imo open just plain sounds better. Imo use the oratory1990 eq for the hd599 and they will be better. The software is buggy as well and some of the features don't seem to work right. Imo the cloud III S is just better as it's cheaper without the buggy features.
r/bapcsalescanada • [Headset] HyperX Cloud III S ($230 - $60 = $170) [Amazon] ->Hyper Cloud III S, unbelievable headset for the price.
r/HyperX • Gaming headset recommendations ->HyperX cloud 3s or wired cloud 2s are absolutely insane for an entry level headset. If you wanna go a bit more expensive, arctis 7 are alright, but I have always preferred the cloud II and then III. Extremely comfortable and last a long ass time. Cloud Alphas sound awful and I don't recommend them.
r/buildapc • What is the best wireless gaming headset for a 14 year old for his birthday next week? ->Current Wireless GOAT in terms pure audio tuning is the Cloud 3S Wireless imo. Close 2nd to Maxwell audio quality but much more light and comfortable. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDCohM8uNF0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDCohM8uNF0) If you're looking for that 'studio' or 'audiophile' grade sound but just wireless, this is it.
