"battery lasts me forever, I charge it once a week and I game every day."
"16 days battery life on my fenix. ... The other aspect I really appreciate about my fenix is the battery life. 16 days or so. With everything I have to change these days (laptops, mice, keyboards, headphones, watches, phones), I appreciate not having to worry about it too often."
"Oh, and the battery lasts days even when exercising a lot (weeks without excercise)."

"I have the ear shape where in-ear headphones always make a loud bumping sound when I'm moving, so AirPods 4 give the benefits of noise cancelling and great sound without the in-ear effect. ... AirPods 3 always fell out my left ear but they dialed in the size perfect for the 4's, they sit perfect and I've never had it fall out or shake loose doing sprints and a full marathon."
"Took them on a 2hr walk with my dog today and had no issues. First IEMs I can actually wear laying on my side in bed."
"after 80+ miles on our last trip, I was the only one without foot problems of any kind."

"have easily the best mic of any gaming headset (I recorded a sung vocal track into Pro Tools with it yesterday)"
"good mic quality"
"the Cloud II's microphone sounded the best, the clearer on every single audio device I've tested. I'm still recovering from that one to be honest. It was a surprise that went against everything I've seen on reviews so I'd like to really underline that one because most people thing the Cloud II microphone isn't good. Well, these are the HP version so maybe the reworked HP version actually improved the microphone. ... It's one of the best microphones i've used. Your voice sounds crisp and clear even if you're speaking lower."

"The big PLUS for me on these compared to the Novas is that they have recessed 4kHz - it reduces fatigue and it’s not harsh on the ears. Especially with those high pitch gunshots and flash bangs."
"excellent imaging for FPS games ... SteelSeries has better imaging"
"I can hear more things than everyone i play with - footsteps etc.."

"really low latency wireless ... The wireless connection is 2.4 GHz so latency is pretty non-existent"
"Wireless has worked flawlessly for me. ... it has great range. I’ve been able to go to the kitchen 3 rooms away and still had good reception."
"there have been zero issues with connectivity or responsiveness"

"they lack resolution and imaging for my taste. ... Very meh sound. ... It sounds muffled and narrow ... there is not much instrument separation or resolution. ... o Red tem mais graves e subgraves do q o D13 inclusive mas falta definição e recorte ... o som dele não entrega nada que impressiona na minha opinião ... o som abafado e gravudo do Red. ... o Zero Red não entrega tanta definição pelo preço ... não é um som ruim mas fica pra trás com tranquilidade."
"Raycon Everyday have an absolutely disgusting V-shaped FR, you can barely hear anything besides bass."
"Everything you described is how it sounded to me."

"I always get complaints from people I call that the call is extremely noisy (usually doing house chores and stuff...)"
"using them while running a stump grinder made crazy loud and annoying feedback the whole time."
"the microphone functionality does not work… I can only hear things from my steam deck on them. ... When I go to the audio options screen, it only shows them as an output device, but not as an input device."

"their battery isn't lasting any longer than 1h at most"
"The usb doesn’t work anymore. ... It just makes a nonstop sound screeching sounds whenever a sound it played through them. ... That happened within the first month of having them."
"battery died just months after warranty expired."

"The headset would randomly restart, disconnect from the base and cause a loud distrotion sound to come across until I BOTH powered down the headset AND disconnected the USB cable from the back of the hub. Pair that with the headset just randomly disconnecting at times (typically when critical to HAVE it) and you have a recipe for disaster."
"Getting up between game sessions to go downstairs, the headphones would do loud, awful "pops" and "cracks" in your ear, probably well into harmful decibel levels."
"The main problem I have with them though is just the random problems that happen every now and then. ... the problems are always something really annoying like a really loud buzzing or just flat out the audio stops working. ... it's just small problems that shouldn't even happen that make them quite annoying to use sometimes."

"auto-shutting off while playing audio ... If I don't run steelseries GG, it'll default to the setting that is shuts down after 30 minutes. ... The only way to circumvent that bullshit then, is to actively use the microphone, that registers as "being used". Not the fucking fact that there's audio playing through the headphone :( ... I sometimes manage to get the auto-shutdown to 'never' via a profile in steelseries GG, but it usually only works a limited time :("
"It’s a pain in the ass to have to set sonar as the primary source every time."
"STAY AWAY from anything DTS related‼️Especially drivers and DO NOT install DTS app - it will destroy any FPS gaming performance. ... I did the mistake couple days ago, thinking they fixed the driver/latency/distortion issues and ohh boy was I wrong! Tried everything to get rid of those, but eventually had to completely wipe out the system and start with fresh windows install."
I love mine as well. I still have my Maxwell and fractal scape. The scape clamping force is too much and the Maxwell is too heavy. This one is perfect in terms of comfort and sound.
I would say a 9. The Maxwell sound better but I was impressed at how good the Hyperx sound. It’s close enough that I’d rather use the HyperX, especially for longer gaming sessions.
Yo anyone else used it on ipad/ mobile devices Why the audio keeps muting? Heeeeelllp me i love the sound but It works fine on Bluetooth but with the dongle it keeps audio pausing and having cracking sound
Cloud lll after my cloud ll wired started squeaking on the hinges and flaking I had to get a new set and I got the cloud lll wireless. They have been damn good to me. I play mostly story games a few fps. I do use Dolby atmos on them so that could play a factor as I have a custom curve I use on all headsets I had. I’m not sure on mic as I never use headset mics but read it’s good for a headset mic. Not sennheiser good but good enough for a stream.
Best to go with technie on youtube for review there is a video like cloud ll vs cloud lll which could answer better then I can. I hate spending over $150 for a decent headset and the cloud lll wireless were a good buy for $80 at micro center. Can't say about cloud lll wired.
Yeah, just been using them so just want to try and share my experience with them and can’t really say anything negative cause to me they are good enough and raw out of box audio I get the detail, still get my bass and fullness without rumbling or something over taking the other. I play mostly single player games anymore but with atmos it’s even better with my curve. I been through different brand headsets before coming back to HyperX cause HP bought them. I remember my cloud ll wired with the premium packaging and how good they were when it was Kingston. It was cloud ll wireless vs cloud lll wireless once the others I tried just weren’t it. Pressure on top ears with razer blacksharks and I’m not about to spend over $150 on a headset for something like Astro A50s. Now the new with graphene drivers sound like something else from a review I watched. Not for $300 though. Haha. I just couldn’t pass on the deal for cloud lll since I was still looking for a headset. Curious if alpha is better only tried alpha S but wanted wireless this time. I think you’ll be fine with either and if you have atmos then even more so sound wise. I heard the cloud lll wired out of box audio is terrible so don’t wanna risk it if atmos don’t fix it but I like freedom with wireless. I hear some people experience a “white noise” or “buzzing” with some of wireless headsets but never had experienced that. I think the cloud lll will last me till they start flaking once again which took a good amount of years for the cloud ll to do. Sorry if that’s a wall of text.
I disagree. I think the Cloud III was fine as is, bluetooth audio means nothing to me (wouldn't use it for fps and I only use the cloud III's for gaming.. so..).. and the sound profile is absolutely perfect for their purpose (gaming, fps specifically, imo). I also think all gaming headphones that aren't pure black look goofy. lol. Including the black and red standard HyperX. I went for the pure black Cloud III wireless and couldn't be happier. Wouldn't change a thing about them. There's literally zero pros/upsides to the 3s for me. In fact, it's genuinely all things I \*wouldn't\* want in a gaming headset so it's straight up all cons and a downgrade lol. The Cloud 3 (no S) is absolutely fantastic, and a headset I would buy again if something happened to mine.. I know some people whine about them but for me.. easily my fav, and I've tried/owned way too many in the past LOL
HyperX cloud III for 50 euro or HyperX cloud III S wireless for 100 euro if you want wireless and better sound(you probably don't care if you were satisfied with a razer blackshark). Don't listen to audiophiles who say you need a 300 euro headphone and 100 euro modmic, which is at best like 20% better than what you get with the Cloud III S wireless. You buy that when you are mega addicted to audiophilia, otherwise don't bother.

I bought these the last time they came on sale, one big thing to note is that there's like a pretty aggressive power saving function to them which results in notification sounds like discord pings or windows notifications having the start of their sounds cut off. I hear only half pings right now and it's pretty irritating
Can confirm this works! Interested to see how much it affects battery life but this is a game changer
https://www.reddit.com/r/HyperX/comments/1nike47/hyperx_cloud_3s_wireless_how_to_disable_this/ Make sure you all read up on this thread as it's a pretty annoying issue
pretty sure it's a default functionality of the headphones
Don’t listen to any Warzone content creator who talks about audio. They don’t know much about audio, they just go on about a particular headset or audio device, because they’re sponsored by the brand and they’ll never say anything negative about that product. You need to watch reviews by audio guys. Best person to watch is Gadgetry Tech on YouTube. He does proper audio measurements and his channel is purely dedicated for audio and gaming audio. I’m someone who really understands audio and I e been into it for over 30 years and here are some things you really need to know. When choosing an audio product for gaming, firstly you need to know what you want first and how well do you understand audio. Do you want to have amazing audio quality or because it’s gaming as long as it has good enough audio you’re happy? Do you want something that has top tier imaging for directional audio queues i.e. footsteps? I’m guessing you do, because you’ve posted on the Warzone page. Do you want something that you can simply plug and play without worrying about EQ or something you want to be able to make customisations? This also brings the question of what do you game on, console or PC? Don’t want wireless or wired? Thai is important, because years ago I would’ve said wired, as it’s zero latency and better audio quality however, the wireless headset technology has come a long way and nowadays the top wireless gaming headsets have minimal latency and audio quality has improved a lot. If you’re on PC, and you don’t mind using IEM, do some research on top IEM’s for gaming and go for it, and because you’re on PC you can use plenty of EQ programmes. IEM’s will always have the best imaging. If you’re on console, and want a headset you can customise the EQ without the need of a PC and something that’s top tier for FPS games, get eh SteelSeries Nova Pro Wireless. It has really good audio, top tier imaging, and it has a dedicated DAC on which you can make all the customisations you need without the need of a PC, including 10 band EQ and the only time you’ll need a PC for it is when there’s a new software update. There’s also the Nova Pro Wired. If you want the best of the best audio quality in a gaming headset then Audeze Maxwell, but it has mediocre imaging. If you want a gaming headset thats has everything overall and be done with it, i.e. wireless, good audio, really good imaging, good mic, comfortable etc then HyperX Cloud III Wireless, but for me it doesn’t get loud enough. Another good overall headset to consider is Astro A50 Gen 5. Really good audio, very comfortable, great mic, base station on which you can charge the headset as it’s a dock style base station, good enough imaging for most people. There’s also studio headphones to consider if you’re on PC, because they’ll always have better audio quality than gaming headsets.
The Philips SHP9500 was very good a decade ago, but it’s kind of irrelevant with how the technology has advanced. If you want a studio headphone, get closed back. Have a search on YouTube for best wired headphones for gaming or watch Gadgetry Tech. If you want wired, save the money and get the Nova Pro Wired. It has every thing you could possibly want. Audio quality, imaging, DAC, comfort.
I grabbed the HyperX Cloud III Wireless a few months ago and it’s been great !
HyperX Cloud III's are really the only option for somewhat decent wireless headset around that price. Turtle beach Atlas Airs are also good, but for diverse settings and travel, open back doesn't do so well. The other commenter wasn't really joking about the Audeze Maxwell's being the only actual good option. (You can look at B stock to get price down, but it's probably still out of budget) Truly good quality wireless headset is extremely rare.
Cloud III's have significantly better audio quality.
For budget they recommend in ears and a separate mic to get better quality for far less. And to be fair, you almost always do. But from a gamer perspective, not an audiophile perspective, headsets are way more convenient. Plus, I think you can get good gaming headsets these days, you just have to be selective. HyperX Cloud IIs and now IIIs were some of the first to be decent. But Epos (which used to be Seinheisser) has some great options (like the H3x for $20 or the Open back H6pro for $80)
It's hard to determine headsets based on specs given on paper. And especially with gamer headsets it's hard to put money and quality together because of that. My recommendation is the HyperX cloud III's. The best option for audio quality of a closed back wireless headset under $200 Or Turtle beach Atlas Airs for an open back wireless option.
Cloud III's are the only ones there I would consider. But best option is probably the Fractal design Scapes if you want wireless and closed back.
hyperx uses locked up bluetooth on cloud III wireless, they don't let you connect their dongle to other devices and don't let you connect headphone to other BT devices either, it's locked to eachother but still BT over LC3+ codec BT in itself is not bad for latency, it's codecs used, if you use aptx ll, lc3, lc3+ or lhdc ll aka llac it's not a problem
