"I modded mine to take 18350 batteries, can just hotswap them and the battery lasts around 50-60h i'd guess before needing to swap. ... I can highly recommend it"
"my battery finally totally died after 5 years or so a few weeks ago. ... Aside from when they fully died, I don't think they ever quit on me during a session."

"auto-shutting off while playing audio ... If I don't run steelseries GG, it'll default to the setting that is shuts down after 30 minutes. ... The only way to circumvent that bullshit then, is to actively use the microphone, that registers as "being used". Not the fucking fact that there's audio playing through the headphone :( ... I sometimes manage to get the auto-shutdown to 'never' via a profile in steelseries GG, but it usually only works a limited time :("
"Uninstall their software. Just get your os to recognize the audio input and output and get rid of their trash. ... Worked for me as their software was awful and causing issues like you described."
"I'm often struggling with the drivers and "steelseries GG" messing up the two audio channels (chat and game), the thing going mute"

"faux leather ear foams are absolute garbage out the box. ... Had to get a cooling gel ones on Amazon for like $15 ... I def replaced the ear pads a few times over the years - they get a bit funky when it's hot out."
"uncomfortable to wear for long periods of time"
"I replaced my ear pads long ago."
In fact, I just switched from a 2017 SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless to the Fractal Design Scape. The Arctis was already mechanically worn out and I've already replaced the ear pads 5 times. I've tried several headsets over the last few years, but none of them have convinced me to give up the Arctis 7. The Scape surprises me. Comfortable to wear, good sound quality, decent battery life and then there's RGB. The charging cradle is the best thing about it.
r/FractalDesign • Fractal Design Scape - First Impressions ->I have my arctis 7 still after 6 years, I modded them to have a hotswappable battery, changed ear pads and headband a couple times as well. Won't be changing before they give up

r/buildapc • What are the Best Gaming Headsets Available Now? ->I use Logitech g733 headphones currently and I find them super comfortable to wear with glasses. I've also used Steelseries Arctis headphones a lot and always found them to be very comfortable.
r/GirlGamers • Headsets to wear while having glasses on? ->I am using steel as well. Cost vs performance is good IMO.
r/OverwatchUniversity • Recommended Headset with 300 USD ->My arctis 7 from like 2018 still works perfectly...
r/steelseries • Got my Arctis Gamebuds yesterday. They have made a fantastic first impression and could very well be my favorite gaming headset. ->I’ve had arctics 7 for 5 years but recently the ear piece started to break and eventually they were beyond repair. They were the best headphones I’ve ever had so I bought an exact same piece. The audio in left year broke after 1 month. I switched them to new ones thanks to warranty but those broke again within a month. I exchanged them again on a warranty and so far it’s been good for 3 months. Take it as you will. Just sharing my experience
r/buildapc • Best headset with a good mic? ->Idk what yall are doing to yalls headsets but I've had my Arctis 7s for around 4 years now and they haven't broken yet. Only issue is battery life has gone down
r/gamingpc • Best pc gaming headset ->i used the steelseries arctis 7 for the longest time. I went with them because they used a ski band for the head which relieved a lot of pressure and headaches a traditional headset would cause (for me at least). Great audio quality, wireless, and ok ish mic.
r/buildapc • What is the best wireless gaming headset for a 14 year old for his birthday next week? ->If you can find them for a good price the audeze maxwell i would 100% recommend. Honestly ive used most of the high end gaming headsets and there sound and EQ just have so many issues. Ill also add the build quality tend to break or Fall apart in the same areas. But I'd probably go with arctis 7 line for consoles as the arctis nova pros just arent worth the price.
r/playstation • What are the best gaming headphones in the $100 or less category? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
